This is one of the most beautiful songs that I have ever heard and it touched my heart. Keep singing the songs with a message, it keeps people's spirits lifted and opens their eyes when it comes to life and what comes with it, good and bad.

  • My Mom decided she liked women when I was 15 years old. It was such a hard road for my brother and I. Mom started dressing like a man and when we went out, men would tease us, not only her, me too. They thought I was her lover. I am her daughter. She passed away 2 years ago. I wish I loved her more. She told me never, ever turn to the gay lifestyle, she regretted that life, it really messed her up mentally, she seemed confused most of the time, and embrassed the rest of her years.

  • THE VIDEO IS SO PERSONAL AND DEEP AND YET OH SO TRUE, I LOVE THE VIDEO, I PRAY THAT MANY LIVES ARE TOUCHED AND CAN BE SAVED, MARSHA I MUST SAY, I HAVE BEEN A BIG FAN SINCE FLOETRY, PLEASE KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

  • The video is beautifully done, and captures the reality of what happens far to often. I think the subject matter caught many by surpise as the truth often does. Keep doing what your doing.

  • i LOVE "far way" the lyrics captured my heart when I first heard the song on Detroit's FM 98 WJLB, but I was spiritually touched when I saw the video. I thank you for this song and video, because I know many people who cannot show their family and friends who they are inside because of the response they fear they'll get. Your video shows the stress many people go thru. This is real. Thank you!

  • I Love you so Much Marsha !! your Song '' so Far Away is Amazing !!!!

  • I LOVE U MARSHA!!!

  • Your amazing marsha... I love you so so so much if it wasnt for you saving my life with the far away song and video i dont know where i would be right now. The song itself taught me alot it taught me how to for one except my sexuality and not sweat what anybody has to say about me cause in the end only god has the final say so... Im sorry about your friend and pray that all is very well with you and i just wanna say thanks for everything your the first to ever care and show it...

  • @Mo33zy yes.

  • i support gay rights in to have people judge them for liking something

different is just wrong. people have the right to dislike and like what eva the hell they want.nobody said just cause your a man you have to be with a woman or just cause your a woman you have to be with a man you a choice have

  • shes cute

  • -i love the sonq, i love your messaqe in the sonq, and most importntly i love you Marsha. . .thank you for beinq that one person to think about us, qay men, and put it in a sonq so that others can see that qay bullyinq is SICK.!. . .people who do that should be severely punished. . .i want to start an orqanization with me travelinq to different schools across the nation and talk to kids of all aqes and tell them all about beinq qay and not to bully qays EVER.!!. . .hit me up if you have ?'s. .

  • WOW!

  • I love the song and the video as well. It was really an eye opener to how much of an impact discrimination can have on a persons life. The video was truely inspirational to me, so I decided to show it to my class as apart of my presentation. I hope they appreciate the video and get as much from it as I did.

  • thank you for making this song...Many people don't know/ don't want to know/ can't comprehend just how hard it is for someone trying to come to terms with their sexuality. Its hard enough attempting to grasp hold of who you are but then to have to contend with the greater world, and their ideas, wants, preconceptions, and prejudices makes it agonizing. Maybe this will help, maybe this will allow others to see beyond themselves. Maybe....But from my heart to yours, thank you...

  • the song is amazing it doesn't hit home for me but i know it hit's home for alot of people in the world , the video is amazing and this song and even just the video should get people the think about how they treat others and how they react to situations ,

  • I really love this video I actually shed a tear on it and was sooo deeply felt for me. I have never actually been close to anyone that had commited suicide, but i have had people taken away from me other ways. I really believe we need to be more accountable for the thing we teach and encourage our children to do, its so important that we watch the messages that we send. Its not for us to judge thats Gods territory, only thing we should be spreadin is love not hate.

  • this video is so on point. i cant thank you enough for sending this mess. keep GOD in your life and everthing else will work it self out no matter what the circumstances is. i know

  • the song "far away" is soooo beautiful. It's very touching. & the vibe you feel just tuning in & listening. The beat takes you to another place in your mind that it's hard not to feel this emotionally on every level & for anyone that you've ever loved. It's deep & i know the words flow from a really deep place. GOD BLESS MARSHA:) (Keke- R.R)

  • I think you are soooo underrated. I love your voice. Most people can't sing live. You are a different story tho. You live shows have so much more feeling and in my opinion are better than the studio version. Keep doing your thing!

  • i love this songand the video! it really made me cry. so many ppl dont understand how it feels to be an outcast because of their life style. i think that no matter who you are we should all stop the hate and love one another! sorry for your lost Marsha. be strong and hold your head up! i really support what your doing! <3

  • This is my first time seeing this nd I am in tears. What courageous action for human life and compassion.

  • This video/ song is very much meaningful because I can actually relate. I feel for all those out there that lost someone to suicide... My heart also goes out to the people who think suicide is a way out and feel like they can't turn to anyone for help or advice. But everyone please know, being different no matter in which way, makes you unique and special. <3

  • You are so awsome! I have been a fan of yours for sooo long. Congratulations on the album and I wish you much love and success. Oh and also, you look wonderful. You've always been beautiful but now you look healthy as well. Please keep up the good work. Good music is hard to find so your contributions are needed and appreciated.

  • I agree with HooxDat... been down that path you dont wanna take it... MAN I FREAKIN LOVE THIS VIDEO ugh it means sooo freakin much to me Love her for this!

  • At the start of the video I thought the song was about a bad breakup. But actually it was because she lost a friend. I'm truly sorry about the absence of her friend. I've loved Marsha Ambrosius since Floetry and I think her music talks about things that everyday people can relate to. Something that music is really missing today, and that's what makes her so real. I HOPE the best on her career. I will always be a supporter!! If you don't support alternative lifestyles please respect them.

  • i love the song, i listen to it every chance i get.

  • - thank you for doing the video.! i love the video far away.! makes me rethink everything i once thought about once again thank u for delivering that powerful message.!

  • Marsha I've loved all your work from your Floetry days to present.....Far Away... everytime I've seen it I've cried. The message is so powerful and profound. I decide to take people on personality, it helps to have a sense of humour and kindness, it goes a long way. I will never understand why there is so much negativity because of a person's alternative lifestyle. Heck I wish I knew more gay people because I know my life would never be dull. Marsha, your friend would be proud of you right now.

  • like if u wanted to cry on this vid

  • I love the song just not the message given in the video sexuality is suppose to be between make and female...two differ halfs make one not two in the same

  • The message was good because of the talk about bullying but the differ sexuality between gay and lesbian its wrong i guess i dont like it becuase we been marrying this way for ever i love the song but God dont maje mistakes on sexuality and the parts dont fit....i still love the song

  • Marsha this is really a great song. its terriable to have a great friend commit suicide due to bullying just cause thier different its rlly messed up. if pple r gay then just leave it whats beating them up going to do about it? Nothing!!! I wish for the best Marsha

  • Thank you so much for touching a subject that they don't take seriously I think should be brought into the light. Hate need to be destroyed in every way possible. This is real it happens everyday, everywhere innocent lives are being taken cause of others actions. I speak on this cause of personal experience of myself attempting to take my life. You never know how your actions could affect someone. People need to accept eveyone not just who they see fit in their eyes.

  • With reference to human sexual orientation, a 'lifestyle choice' is only epiphenomenal to the particular genetic (and epigenetic) disposition of the individual in question.Homosexuality is no less 'normal' than heterosexuality,left-handedness,or the shape of one's cranium, for that matter.Behaving as if we have the right to condemn a person for their sexuality based on what an ancient manuscript dictates----IS FOOLISH.

  • dont believe in the gay lifestyle but it isnt okay to hate or to be hateful

  • to everyone thats ever thought about suicide please think about the people that loves you that you left behind who have to suffer the pain. God loves all!

  • wow she is very pretty and that kiss at the end wish that was for me lol

  • This is exactly what LegacyTV stands to prevent! Thank you so much marsha for being the ONE public figure in R&B music to make this issues within the black gay community GLOBAL and letting everyone know that this is real, suicide does exist! Bullying is everywhere. And it should be prevented in every way!

  • I am so in love with this song and listen to it regularly. I am an urban middle school teacher & this video has allowed my students to explore how equal humanity is. They are going through this inner conflict that is externally being played out about feeling empathetically for people they are told they cannot relate. It is so interesting watching them grow from these discussions and come to their own realities. Thank you for the beauty of this song & video. They have truly enriched my students.

  • Marsha, we need more artists like you who are in the public eye to stand up for us in the LGBT community and humanity as a whole! This video and your message of peace are another step in a positive direction. If people spent more time writing about things that lift people up and bring attention to issues in our society instead of writing about money and material things then that message of peace would reach more hearts. Thank you for this video, Marsha. You are a beautiful soul.

  • For me personally I needed this / we needed this. Thank you for giving gay men a voice. Love ya!!!

  • I LOVE U MARSHA

  • like this if you cried watching the video.

  • @gabeatsfood didn't quite cry, but it sent chills up my body.

  • i just loved everything about the video and it reflects on how i feel most of the time and honestly i started to cry

  • i loved the video great concept...it shows reality and i think we need more people like you in this world...The gay community are fighting battles with in theirselves everyday and society is something to add to the agenda. I love your music and i will be getting your album on march 1st.

  • i love the song, thank and happy mardi gras 2011 new orleans la. zulu parade

  • wow! i had no idea she had an accent. Lol Beautiful.

  • i love the video i love the concept it needed to be said it needed to be addressed it doesnt matter if you agree with their someones life or not its theirs to live we have made being gay such a huge issue within the black community and doesnt make any sense when their are still things like drugs gangs lack of education and our inability to work together as a people that i feel is way more important than who someone is laying down with i love the song i love as you an artist keep up the good work

  • don't fight or argue with the gays...folks will lose everytime...with that being said i loved the video and this is an issue that is prevalent and a reality in today's society. I think God is fully aware of this.

  • and what those priest are doing is worse than anyone in denail saying they were born that way. Never hiding behind the bible just stating what is right. yes you are right. people being picked on for a lifestyle is wrong and not right at all but thats a life trial.

  • It's not my opinion about God's Law, His Law is in His Word ie (The Bible). God tells us His Law through The Bible. It doesn't matter where I'm speaking about God's Word, it can be on youtube or anywhere else. What does me posting God's Word on youtube have to do with anything. Are you a Christian, and if not, I'm curious to know what your views are on this topic?

  • The Bible states, that all unrepentant sinners will have their part in the lake of fire. I personally, don't have a problem with homosexuals, but your eternal salvation isn't being judged by me or any other person, it is judged by God, and He has give us His law through the Bible. When we commit sins, it offends God, and no one will escape His judgement. Don't commit idolotry, like I used to, so you can feel comfortable living your sinful lifestyle.

  • I was guilty of being both a hypocrite and commiting idolotry, because I didn't want to stop having sex with multiple women. I thought that my sin wasn't hurting anybody and that it wasn't as bad as being a murderer, so I tried to shape God into what I thought was right or wrong. We all have to understand that we are not God, and we don't understand what's right or wrong. God made his law, and we have the choice as to whether we will follow his law or disobey Him.

  • The reason people think that it's okay to be homosexual is because they don't want to give up their sinful lifestyle, therefore, they try to shape a God that suits their lifestyle to make them feel comfortable. I used to be the same way about my fornication. I tried to shape a God that I was comfortable with, that made me think that it was okay to continue to have sex with women before I was married. This is called being a hypocrite, and it's also called idolotry.

  • Hello Marsha! I heard the "Far Away' song on the radio before I saw the video. I thought the song was beautiful, but this video really, REALLY blew me away. Never have I seen a mainstream r&b video attack homophobia and its negative results in this manner. This video has made HISTORY. I applaud your courage and your compassion. You are a brave, marvelous artist. Thank you for such a gorgeous song and such a groundbreaking video. Despite what some may believe, you have TRULY done a godly thing.

  • I forgot to say that I am a Muslim and understand how evil discrimination can be. As Muslim we face discrimination daily. I must admit that when the first time I watched this video, it took me off gear. I had to pause it for a second and grasp it, but since I loved the soulfulness of your music, I just had to continue watching to embrace the story that you were trying to tell. My husband also watched-very open minded. This is great for educating the world on what needs to be address. Thanx

  • The ones that are making these negative statements are probably living a worser lifestyle undercover and trying to be ANGELS. They need to look take a closer look in the mirror before judging others. Living life is already hard enough without others making it a STRUGGLE. Be TOLERANT!!!!!!!!! Thanks again, Marsh and best wishes on your new Album.(I will be purchasing it and show this video to spread awareness and tolerance of diversity).
