OK this was one of the four first games i got for christmas along with Insector X, Streets of Rage and Sonic which Sonic came with the system...but all n all i liked this game i remember there was a stage name glen which is my fathers name we used to call him the rock monster..lol..oh and the last fight was hot y'all be mad big and flying.
Hah, my family also got this game, Insector X, and Sonic with our Genesis in the Christmas of '91. I think we got King's Bounty that Christmas too. Good times.
Our dad's friend was named Glen, so I would think of him whenever I played that level too. Except the rock boss in that level always reminded me of my grandpa.
Yes! Another Sage's Creation fan! Sage's Creation will always be my favorite video game publisher of all time! Such great memories of playing Shadow Blasters and Insector X as a kid ever since I received them for Christmas and then later discovering deeper into SC's library. If you know all the games SC published, please let me know!
If there is a way to fix the wavy picture I am getting when capturing Genesis games as well as other systems, I'll try to record a speed run. The game is very easy indeed (and hard mode doesn't seem to be any different at all).
Booyah! I remember renting this game and beating it the first night- but enjoying it the whole way through. this game has one of the BEST soundtracks of any game i've played. I actually have some of the tunes on my IPOD!
Thanks for the totally awesome comment! And yes I totally agree about the music! For some reason, all games published by Sage's Creation had outstanding music, even the fishing game King Salmon! My favorite Sage's Creation soundtrack would have to be Insector X though, but Shadow Blasters isn't far behind. That's so awesome you put the tunes on your I-Pod; you're probably the only person to do so!
LOL that was one of my favorite games and still is I luv da ( Insector x) soundtrack) Shadow blasters is another one of my faves I got this game for 5 bucks at the Nanuet mall In NY (Xzone) lol they sell all the old systems and games and New ones.
Now that would be a fun thing to do, I'll have to try beating it with just her some time :) . I think I might've done this before with another character, but this would be a lot of fun! By the way, have you been able to tell if there is a difference between Normal and Hard mode in this game? I can't tell any difference.
Tiffany's tornados can come in a lot of handy. The thing I love about this game is that each character is useful for different situations. It's a lot of fun doing character switching throughout the game!
This game can be a little tricky to find, but it's definitely rare in the untalked about sense, if that's what you meant! It's actually a really easy game to beat too.
Oh man, this game right here brings back memories. I used to love the sountrack too.

There really needs to be a SB sequel; the ending totally sets one up.

I'd like to see a speed run of this game- if I remember right it was very easy. I don't remember much about it except the music.
