  • Damn the lyrics, I can't listen to this without crying.

  • @WW2medalsNpatchesME He took good care of his body, probably didn't smoke, no alcohol.

And even better, he wasn't just 65 years old. He was actually in his mid-70s and still looked younger then that.

    ;)

  • When I saw the two dislikes...I lost faith in humanity.

  • So lovely - perfection.

    And so sadly missed.

  • Bella. Molte bella.

  • Several years ago I saw a Pavarotti concert in Toronto. He was a magnet! I know that Jesus Christ was not born on December 25th, but He did come to this earth. This most magnificent song, as powerful, majestic and emotionally overwhelming as it is - is just a human prelude to the earth-shattering sight and sound of Jesus' second coming as the Bible predicts. "Fall on your knees, oh hear the angel voices ...." Oh what a day that will be when every eye shall see His face! Weary world rejoice!

  • @shalimarsgirl thats right he was not born the 25 it was them romen caths just maken crap up thats y i dont belive in the bible and church there are un truths in the book and stuff the romen cath took out just to make them selfs fell better, i belive in god and jesus do to what i have seen in 30 years on this earth, i work with death every day i see fear and i see peace so i know its real, i felt and seen other things to know jesus is real, but the book and church just aint right

  • We are privileged to have been alive while this voice was in its prime. The Maestro always maintained that his artistry didn't compare to that of Caruso, but I've listened to many of the old recordings...and yes, the technical capabilities were primitive, and he was undoubtedly one of the great ones...but in my view, Caruso was not the singer Pavarotti was. But then...maybe it's all like comparing flawless gems!

  • Jussi Bjorling....

the best verson ever...but in swedish

  • Jussi Bjorling....

  • if god wer to sing holy night. this is how he would sound.

  • 052293ab, I like the way you worded it. Well said. NO ONE could do better justice to such a monumental song like this than a man with such a monumental voice. I have heard many versions over the years, like we all have, but this is simply so POWERFUL I get goosebumps everytime.

  • Jussi Bjoerling also has a wonderful version of this song by Adolphe Adam.

  • I fell in love with opera as a whole because of Pavarotti. He could have sung the telephone book and made it an emotional experience. Even in languages I did not understand, he had the ability to touch the soul. My only regret is that I never had the opportunity to see him live, but there will be heaven someday.

  • I LOVE......

  • I'm agnostic, but I can't refuse the beauty of this song performed by Pavarotti. I sing it year round!

  • All the Time I love the Voice from Luciano. The greates Tenor for me. I see and heare live in Munich.

    Thanks. Eleanore

  • Long Live Pavarotti!

  • @sadohenker666 - Well, your user name also uses the Mark of the Beast (Satan), so it's no wonder you feel "this song sucks" (do you?). If you don't like Pavarotti or Christian songs, why don't you stay in some kiddie-porn site where you belong! Maddog

  • @Maddog5340

Mmmh, what do we have here? A victim, thats for sure. But why?

Feeling personally victimized because someone dislikes their idol or taste of music? Propably.

One of those devote caring and loving beings holding up christian values by letting them apply to others but not to ones self. Well typical case of hyporcite.

A real Christian would have turned the other cheek instead of calling someone else a pedofile for no reason.

You must be catholic, hence your knowledge about pedos.

  • @Maddog5340 Please stop defending Christianity...you're making us look bad with your hypocrisy.

  • When you heard P live, there was no way to explain such a voice, the purity, the ring, the quality, the ease. The electronics are not up to replicating it, they even seem to distort. He is a star in the firmament.

  • Magnifico!!

    resto nella pace.

  • the last Noeee, Noaaaaaaa!!!.... is a C6 or???, thanks

  • @mauriciomille My ear tells me this is in the key of Eb Major, so his noel is a Bb4. =] A C6 is a Soprano High C.

  • @VAAMusicalMike Yep. This would be in Eb Major.

  • 2 Dislikes. Really? Who on earth could not like this? Satan and his secret lover?

  • @VAAMusicalMike Probably some dumbasses who'd rather listen to Lil Wayne or Cradle of Filth.

  • The Best Ever !!! I Miss Him Soo Much! The Best

voice ever !!! I cry when ever I listen to this song !

  • Amo tutte queste canzoni meravigliose, e Pavarotti è il più grande preferiti. Toko ho sentito altre voci di tenore buona come la Russia. Sembra che l'unico "Pavarotti" non è in vista

  • los pelillos de punta

  • Just beautiful. Pavarotti's voice remains unparalled. It's a pity such a great voice has left the world. May the souls of the faithful departed, through the meercy of God rest in peace. Amen!

  • pavarottis voice is soooooo small compared to jussi björling

  • @tollokock Are you kidding me? Get out.

  • @okwuoc "unparalled"? ....... i don't guess you've heard David Phelps sing this piece......... not to take anything away from one of the GREATEST of all times but......... just saying

  • @shaneomac0393 Hahahahahaha good one!!! Oh wait....You were being serious about Phelps. Yeah, Phelps' version (and general singing ability) doesn't hold a candle.
