I saw Khorsandi live last week on her tour, and she doesn't just talk about being a woman/iranian. The sets they do on the BBC are always cut, so you're not actually getting the whole show, just the main gags.
Also, remember unlike may comedians, Shappi writes her own material so she has every right to repeat jokes.

And if you're going to pull the "Well I'm only talking about this clip" Then you have no assumptions to base her entire stand up comedy career on this one clip. And there you go again mentioning other female comedians. I have nothing against female comedians, thats not where im coming from, in fact Jo Brand is one of my favorites. It's just Shappi. She isn't funny, and her repeated lines on the same topic is starting to get old. She needs new material.

@jspesh to be honest black male comedians tend to base most of their material on their race as well. im not stereotyping its just that thats exactly what they are, stereotypes! im just making the observation which i believe is what youre doing as well. it is really cliche to hear a comedian of ethnic minority talking about their ethnic background. change the record already!
