  • i like her she's good and she plays the race jokes without being offensive

  • Straight Face... :/

  • I don't get the last joke :(

  • If a white person were to say any of that they'd be called racist.

  • @Boyfromasension - shes mainly talking about her Iranian background, so its not racist really. i mean, thats like calling an English person racist for slating the English..

  • Can't stop laughing about the weather in India joke

  • i dont get the last joke.... :(

  • @MissQuince1996

It's about outsourcing. She's going to India, and the people who answer the phone for the bank are in India.

  • @beethethird ah, dankashayne :)

  • @MissQuince1996 me 2! why would she call the bank? what's funny about it?

  • @mashkooks I got it :D

  • @MissQuince1996 me neither. can someone enlighten us please?

  • I hate when people say all calls from Europe or America go to Indian call centres. Even if its true, I am proud of Indian because all these people working in call centres learn better English than .....

  • Wow! A female comedian that didn't tell us about her vagina or the process of child birth.

  • @lozzie131 I think it's because her bank call centre is prob. in India.

  • not funny you bittch

  • looool :) ..ohh i must go round ... compare spices LOOL .

  • English and from Nottingham! lol yeah I'm English and from Bradford

  • This male - female debate that goes on is pathetic.

  • Is Shappi Iranian? I'm quite surprised as she hardly ever mentions it.

  • @meldme Yh she is.

  • @meldme Yes she is. You can see it from her last name!

  • @TheBooghalamoon - Yes, I was being ironic. I've never seen Shappi do more than 5 minutes of standup without referring to her Iranian heritige. If she was to cut out the Iranian material, she would be on stage for about, well, 5 minutes. Lovely girl, but a bit too predictable.

  • @meldme What commedian isn't predictable. Al Murry is always talking about chips and beer. Whenever I see Jack Whitehall he goes on about sex.

  • @TheBooghalamoon It's called sarcasm,

  • @meldme Should she have to?

  • @AlexanderT21 - What do you mean? - mention she is Iranian or do 5 minutes of standup without mentioning it? If you are referring to the latter then, yes, if she wants to keep her material fresh, some restraint on her geographical 'comedy' would help her act.

  • @meldme it annoys me so fucking bad....i hate it when they play the "race card"

  • name a few genuinely incredible female comedians that dont use race or the fact that shes fat/skinny? stick to childbirth (joke)

  • Comment removed

  • It's scientifically proven that men are funnier than women. It was on QI. Jo Brand is one of the funniest female comedians and it's no coincidence that she looks like a man.

  • @ukulazy I love how Q.I. and Steven Fry are like absolute proof of any fact - If Steven Fry thinks something then it has to be true - doesn't matter where he got the knowledge. He could tell us that the universe was one giant pretsil shaped imagining of an intoxicated donkey and we'd all believe him, everyone of us!

  • @ukulazy it doesnt even have to be on Q.I. it is just true. To say Everyone beleives everything on Q.I. normally because they would have to do thorough research in whatever area they are looking into, hence it being true. Wikipedia on the other hand, has to be taken with a bag of salt. Do you not think a show based on facts has a research team? I think women have to either use their race or size to poke fun at themselves, or be extremely brash and course, wheras guys are far better at being witty!

  • @SlugsPublicAccount, haha. stop anaylsying it too much! chill out! oh no im sexist because i say women are bad comedians. who cares, i think female comedians are crap. This is a clip i do not find funny. i also do not find female comedians funny. once you have found 20 good female comedians get back to me (bare in mind this may take a huge amount of time if possible at all)

  • @cyrilsnare Jo Brand, Dawn French, Holly Walsh, Jennifer Saunders, Sarah Millican, Victoria Wood, Sarah Silverman, Shappi Khorsandi, Joan Rivers, Lucy Porter, Josie Long, Laura Solon, Gina Yashere, Miranda Hart, Andi Yosho, Samantha Bee, Maria Bamford, Joy Behar, Sara Benincasa, Sandra Bernhard, Leah Bonnema, Desiree Burch.. and there's plenty more.

  • @vanillatwilight3680 @cyrilsnare don't forget Jessica Stevenson (my favorite), Margaret Cho, Helen Hong, Ellen Degeneres, Kristen Schaal, Tina Fey, Wanda Sykes, the inimitable StarKids and Second City casts... that said, I think we would see more female comedians if being a female-anything wasn't so fraught with cultural notions. too much issue-ness kills creativity.

  • @vanillatwilight3680 @cyrilsnare oh eff me, i forgot Catherine Tate

  • who cares if she is not PC. she is not funny at all, primarily because she is a woman! look at all the comedians of the past. The best ones are male. Not sexist, just factual. Its like women cant drive, not sexist, just fact!

  • @cyrilsnare Well, no, if she's not funny it's because she's not fucking funny. It's the kind of thing you can judge based on statistics before you watch it, after you watch it you have to be a new kind of stupid to say 'Oh that wasn't funny because she's a woman and women aren't funny'. What you are allowed to do it say she's not funny because she genuinely wasn't funny and note it down as more evidence of women making bad comedians.

  • @cyrilsnare

You're an idiot . When I say this, I mean that you're an actual stupid person.

Either you don't understand the meaning of what you're saying or you actually believe the literal sense of what you're saying. Either way, you're stupid.

  • @cyrilsnare

If women couldn't drive, then no women would have ever passed a driving test. Not one.

Did you know that more males are involved in driving accidents? How does that work out? Is it because women spend all their time in cars in a parking spot, crying because they can't work the steering wheel?

I think it is during Year One that you learn the difference between fact and opinion. Best is an opinion. Not fact.

  • compare spices !!! LMAO

  • its comedy stop being political and lighten up

  • why did she phone her bank?

  • @Taztaz100 Ever phoned yours?

  • @Taztaz100 erm because most indians work at banks?

  • @Taztaz100 call centres in India...god some people are slow....

  • Why is the next proposed video about cannibalism? I mean ... I see a connection but ...

  • she should be a pornstar not a comedian

  • LOL HAHHAHA

  • Most of the people that are complaining are way too PC - they should lighten up abit, you guys are the reason you can't call someone ginger, or have a joke, because you guys find it offensive, now shut the fu*ck up and watch the clip - or leave the page!

  • Chicks aren't funny

  • @camfay77 someone needs to grow a pair and move on :D

  • @camfay77 No my friend...chickens are THE BOMB!

  • Just been reading the comments on this page. If you don't like it, don't watch it. I personally dont like Michael McIntyre, so funnily enough, I don't watch him.

I saw Khorsandi live last week on her tour, and she doesn't just talk about being a woman/iranian. The sets they do on the BBC are always cut, so you're not actually getting the whole show, just the main gags.

Also, remember unlike may comedians, Shappi writes her own material so she has every right to repeat jokes.

  • @fayexfaye I saw the whole show...I pissed my pants laughing she is AWSUM. a must watch.

  • She only ever uses the "Foreign" card.

  • Never seen Shappi before... but I liked what I heard.

  • She is funny :)

  • Can someone explain the phoning the bank joke to me please?

  • @Lezxox

A lot of call centers for services in the UK are operated in Indian because the wages is cheaper there.

  • A rare glimpse of her actually being funny

  • my channel

  • lol compare spices good idea

  • @Sushiflower28 I was appalled by what those guys said to you!

  • @IamAThatter so was I!

  • This wasn't so good but I saw her on TV today and she was amazing :')

  • snore...............

  • It's scientifically proven that women are not as funny as men.

  • @UphyXx yeah ? and it's scientifically proven that youtube trolls need to get a life !

  • @UphyXx Is that you Andy ? .... Richard ??

  • @UphyXx yes because woman don't laugh at other women x

  • So first we get the un funny Brittish comedian making fun of people cause they're foreign, then we get the back lash. Where will it end?

  • funny but i cant stand comediens that just talk about where there from , yeah i get your not from around here lol shes always doing this

  • About as funny as cancer.

  • Woman aren't funny.

  • @pollordubai

    You're not funny.

  • @psychotic14 I'm not the comedienne.

  • @pollordubai

    Clearly.

  • @psychotic14 You obviously don't get it.

  • @pollordubai Men who put down women, and elevate men should just be honest with themselves. Embrace your repressed homosexuality.

  • And Trigger made a face

  • @DeadByDawnVids I can't vote this up enough.

  • @Emocopter Like i said, self aware satire is a huge part of comedy these days. It's only because you're looking at someone else backgrounds that are different to yours that you take notice

"white" people make fun of themselves just as much. Hell most Brit comedian acts center around how much this country and it's national traits/people just suck.

  • @Emocopter it's because the white races are superior and feel no need to make fun of themselves. political correctness gone mad! that's what I say!

  • Press 4 repeatedly.

  • @iamaparth ahahahahah u funny u a funny guy

  • Oh, she's talking about her nationality... I'm shocked.

  • Terrible Comedian.

  • you dont hear white comedians going on about being white all the time. in fact again if any comedians do jokes about white people its usually black comedians. im not sure why black comedians over define themselves and others by their race. we're all one and the same.

many a true word is spoken in jest. if someone is from america obviously theyre going to talk about what its like there. but you get "minorities" who live in multicultural areas and still create that segregation. i dont get it.

  • Rofl at the last one x)

  • @Emocopter There's a difference between making fun and being insulting/racist.

Hell if there wasn't a fine line between "having a laugh" and "insults" then there would practically be no comedy today. Most of the modern gen comedy is based around satire, which is either based around current events and issues. One of which is quite heavily focused on religion/race.

  • never been a good female comedian

  • Can she come out with any other "Jokes" that don't involve her being from the middle east, or being a woman, or both?!

  • @BangingMash thats the reason why its funny or she wouldnt stand out from the other stand ups

  • @BangingMash

So many people complain about her jokes involving her being from the Middle East, or being a woman, or both..... why? Cause its relevant. I think too many people are not judging her on her jokes at all, more the fact shes from the Middle East, or because she's a woman, or both. Knobhead!

  • @joecatso It's not relevant. Black comedians talk about the fact they're black, and the way they grew up and stuff, but they still talk about other things then being black. This woman just is not creating any variation in her jokes. Everything, literally everything, has to be about those 2 things. Get some new material. It's like she's telling the same joke in 100 different ways. And there's no need for the "Knobhead", if you don't agree, then you don't agree, no need to be a keyboard warrior.

  • @joecatso way to win an argument PLAY THE RACE CARD

  • @joecatso: She's not funny though. I wouldn't care if her jokes were funny, but they're not.

  • @joecatso Or people are judging her on the fact that she isnt funny AT ALL?

  • @joecatso I'm Arab (different I know), female, and I find her HILARIOUS! Don't know why people would complain... :S

  • I find her really funny. It irritates me when people use the fact that she is female as a reason for disliking her.

  • @BangingMash hey shut up they're gd anyway she is soo nice i have met her so stick that on a lolly and lick!!!:@

  • @aarox4ever "hey shut up"...errm no. =) Yes she may very well be nice in real life, doesn't stop her from telling the SAME joke in 100 different ways.

  • @BangingMash poo off

  • @BangingMash poo off

  • @aarox4ever =O so offensive!

  • @BangingMash no my big sister is VERY rude im only 9

  • @BangingMash my sister REALLY rude + anyway im only 8

  • @aarox4ever You already replied....and you said you were 9. Usually people get older, but you've gone from being 9 to being 8. Yeh ok.... o_O

  • @BangingMash well im 8 and a half but my sister made me put 8

  • @aarox4ever But you put 9...?! Sorry am I witnessing a new take on internet trolling?!

  • @BangingMash Whot do you meen

  • @BangingMash All the male comedians always make "sex jokes" and sexist womanising jokes. Comedians make jokes they relate to. Shut up.

  • @sarsxz haha. I like how you're trying to make a valid arguement, but ending your reply in "Shut up". Yes, most male comedians do make sexist remarks, you're right....but they also talk about other things...unlike Shappi.

  • @BangingMash And If you watched the whole of her act then you'd realise so does she. I wasn't trying - there clearly is a valid arguement :)

  • @sarsxz Oh yeh...making a remark on the fact that a lot of phone lines have indian employees. Gee, you are right, thats totally different from her other jokes. See all of the other ones cant relate to the middle-east at all.... =S NOT. Had to add this last bit in so you would realise Im being sarcastic, what with you being a retard after all.....

  • @BangingMash You're still only referring to the 57 second clip here >.<" As opposed to all her other stand ups - including the other 1 minute 23 seconds there is of this same stand up piece. And if you're going to pull the "Well I'm only talking about this clip" Then you have no assumptions to base her entire stand up comedy career on this one clip. All other female comedians Mcmillan for example use her being overweight or ex bf's in her show is that to mean" Or is she being a damn woman again?

  • @sarsxz Ok, no you're right, lets bring in her other stand ups as well. THEY ARE ALL THE SAME. "Oh I'm from the middle east, and I'm a woman, har har, thats so funny isn't it?" And there you go again mentioning other female comedians. I have nothing against female comedians, thats not where im coming from, in fact Jo Brand is one of my favorites. It's just Shappi. She isn't funny, and her repeated lines on the same topic is starting to get old. She needs new material.

  • @BangingMash Jo Brand's aboslutely hilarious but she too also revolves her jokes around womens' obesity - her husband and her kids. From this I'm just assuming that you're not a fan of hearing about other cultures.

  • @sarsxz So first you assume I'm sexist, and when that didn't pan out you suggest racism instead? It's got nothing to do with racism, sexism, any other ism. Shappi isn't funny. End of.

Yeh Jo brand is hilarious. Yeh she does talk about women, obesity, fitness, her family. Those are just few of many topics she talks about. What does Shappi talk about? Things to do with the middle east, and women. That's...that's about it.

  • @BangingMash i understand that you don't find her funny. personally i do..but thats your oppinion. i understand.

  • She's just not funny.

  • ive met her :D shes lovely :D xx

  • Get back in the kitchen bitch.

  • shes not funny, all women comedians are not funny. pile of horse shit.

  • Female comedians are fucking awful. Especially the ones who are foreign/black and continually go on about it. Fuck off.

  • @jspesh racist and sexist. you must be a white man.

  • @SushiFlower28 Correct. Judgemental and accusing, you must be black.

  • @jspesh im actually a white woman and I know, I know your going to play the gender card because you cant seem to think of anything else.

  • @SushiFlower28 How about I just call you a cunt instead?

  • @jspesh your use of cheap language really doesnt insult me

  • @SushiFlower28 Get back in the kitchen.

  • @jspesh haha all these comments reflect your level of intellegence and narrow mindidness really well!

  • @SushiFlower28 glad to be of service.

  • @jspesh Wow.. stop your hate, dont like it.. click the dislike button, we dont need your negative shit arround here,

    KThanksBye.

  • @shazziee101 Shut your mouth whore

  • @jspesh Wow..

was there any need for that?

calling someone a whore that you don't even know... grow a pair(:

  • @jspesh to be honest black male comedians tend to base most of their material on their race as well. im not stereotyping its just that thats exactly what they are, stereotypes! im just making the observation which i believe is what youre doing as well. it is really cliche to hear a comedian of ethnic minority talking about their ethnic background. change the record already!

and again its not sexist its just an observation, women comedians generally arent that funny (that ive seen anyway).

  • @ILLER121 I agree with you (and I'm a woman) =)

  • women are never funny. evver

  • is it just me or are all of her jokes to do with her race......

  • @Emocopter your not british or irish so you wot understand its what we do take the piss out of ourselfs and others other wise wed be as sad as the americans they is only few americans who are funny thats chris tucker and joaquin phionex and the rest are canadian jim carry mike myers even tom cruise i cant think of any thing good from america at all

  • check out on you tube, copy & paste below......

    Nicos mating call

  • I like Her, and especially because she is not too thin. Nice legs and all.

  • she's alright compared to other women comedians. But on the whole, they aren't as good as the blokes!

Wish it wasn't true, but its the sad reality! :/

  • @onizukademongto Shapi is alright but I think Sarah Millican is one of the better ones since she is actually better than some male comics too. :)

  • Iranian women are OTH hot!

  • @MISTERASMODEUS how would you know?..every woman who lives in iran wears a bhurka lol

  • @1blondietuco1 No they don't.

  • @Exeunt26 iran has sharia law...so yes their woman do have to wear bhurkas...

  • @1blondietuco1

Bhurkas are a good idea. Britain has the highest rate of teenage pregnancy in Europe and the highest STD rates in Europe. That's a serious, serious problem.

Burkha VS Disease = Burkha win

Burkha VS Teen pregnancy = Burkha win

Burkha VS breakdown in family values = Burkha win

British women don't want th Burkha, why? Because they're self centred sluts who like to go on the pull

  • @69salford69 oh i know you did not just stereotype all british women! im a proud British 17 year old woman and I remain a virgin- so do not try and tell me that all of us are sluts because its not true. How dare you even blame wome- its takes a man to get a woman pregnant aswell.

  • @SushiFlower28 To be a STUD, you need charm & good looks

To be a SLUT, you just need to be there...

    @Darzok

Erm, no it's the opposite. Too much sex means many babies born into families that haven't got a clue about anything happening in the World, so when the British Army invades the next country, all these kids are too busy robbing each other, getting pissed, doing drugs, playing Xbox and having a shag that we commit murder and genocide without a second thought to the victims ...

  • @69salford69 Being a stud is not the same as being a slut. I completley understand that you only have to 'be there' to be a slut but there are plenty of man-whores to go around aswell. I just dont agree with you stereotyping like that, its not very fair on proud women like myself. I also think that just because you have sex doesnt make you a slut/man-whore, its just about keeping yourself safe which is where the British geovernment need to step in and introduce proper sex-education.

  • @SushiFlower28 Totally agree with you about the Government needing to do more.

I'm sorry but if it wasn't for women's liberation, women would be second class citizens. Im not against women's liberation but some women do not deserve the rights we've given them. They abuse their freedom and they are the mothers of our children. They're job is at home.

The man is meant to go and earn the money. We need to take a few steps back

  • @69salford69

Some men dont deserve them either.

Both my parents work, my mother actually makes more money than my farther does but that doesnt make him any less of a farther and her any less of a mother. However, you seem pretty set in your ways so I do think that we should agree to disagree.

  • @SushiFlower28 you spelt father wrong...

  • @hotseb22 my bad
