  • Thank you for uploading this vid, it helped me immensely, God bless you all

  • John said that truly our fellowship is with the Father and the son. Once we begin to experience this, these other shallow critical debates of opinion and conviction fade away. In Christ is life. God's desire is that Christ be formed in us and God's fullness dwells in us.

  • @brianmpruitt there are no shallow debates on doctrine in Isaiah 28:9 God himself said through Isaiah "Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts."

People want you to think this is trivial because if they can sell you another or no doctrine they can get you to accept another Jesus.

Much of the Bible is written against false doctrine, look into it.

  • All of my bible versions say things differently, sometimes I have to go back to the Greek to reconcile them. I don't depend on one text, I don't have to any more, I have the internet and the wonderful bible sites and all the info. I will not go back to the Dark Ages of religion and only one version is right!

  • "Child" was most likely spoken in Hebrew when the apostle Peter made that prayer. Do the folks who use these other "Bibles" consider that some of the people on these translating committees are women and homosexuals.

  • You have got to be kidding. This is so superficial!

  • Gipp couldn't even answer where was perfect the word of God before 1611 on the Ankerberg show. Fellow believers- sit under godly men who don't just memorize verses from the King James, but who actually study the Bible and are not ignorant of history, language, and ancient culture.

  • @Victornotvictim77 Thank you for identifying yourself.

They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us. 1John 2:19

  • @BereanBeacon1- You don't even know how to quote verses in context- 1 John 2:19 is speaking of someone who departs from Christ, not the king james version (which by the way is not what you use today, but the 1769 version). Not a good testimony for Christ to remain ignorant and quote Scripture out of context..

  • @Victornotvictim77 Continued - "With the exception of typographical errors and changes required by the process of orthography [spelling] in the English language, the text of our present Bibles remains unchanged, and without variations from the original copy as left by the translators. (Report of the Committee on Versions to the Board of Managers of the American Bible Society, 1852, pp. 7,11 as cited by George T. Crabb)

  • @Victornotvictim77 There are three changes to the KJV since 1611.

    1. 1612: Typography ( from Gothic to Roman type).

    2. 1629 & 1638: Correction of typographical errors.

    3. 1762 & 1769: Standardization of spelling. The 'Board of Managers' of the American Bible Society in 1852 determined that "The English Bible as left by the translators has come down to us unaltered in respect to its text..."

  • @BereanBeacon1 to be fair i have a kjv hendrickson 1873 and i was at camp a few years back and while doing a memory verse we found out that one of the verses was worded slightly diffrent....

  • Yeah, thats right Sam, tell people they're too stupid to research the Greek and Hebrew words themselves, and learn how to discern from their semantic domains, how the Author intended to use them. No, no, Sam, you're audiences are too stupid to be able to do that. Therefore, convince them that, the several times modified KJV, is the final and only translation. Good Job!!! Keep people stupid! Just like the U.S. Board of Education likes it - a dumbed down population. Amen?

  • @RefutingSkellyism Another protestant pope heard from. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us. 1John 2:19

  • @BereanBeacon1 Another self righteous pharisee, declaring, his translation the only one! Or should I say 'scribe'! What a joke! And what a disgrace to anything identified as 'Berean'!

Sam Gipp: Another symptom of a dumbed down culture, incapable of critical thinking and discernment! No wonder the U.S. is falling apart, Stupid men shepherding stupid people!

    Oh Maranatha!

  • @RefutingSkellyism Continued - "With the exception of typographical errors and changes required by the process of orthography [spelling] in the English language, the text of our present Bibles remains unchanged, and without variations from the original copy as left by the translators. (Report of the Committee on Versions to the Board of Managers of the American Bible Society, 1852, pp. 7,11 as cited by George T. Crabb)

  • @RefutingSkellyism Why don't you use your Greek to explain this? There are three changes to the KJV since 1611.

    1. 1612: Typography ( from Gothic to Roman type).

    2. 1629 & 1638: Correction of typographical errors.

    3. 1762 & 1769: Standardization of spelling. The 'Board of Managers' of the American Bible Society in 1852 determined that "The English Bible as left by the translators has come down to us unaltered in respect to its text..."

  • @BereanBeacon1 Blah,Blah Blah!, You've turned the work of men into an idol! Repent! King James declared himself 'Head of the Church'! Need I say more? Why don't you reply to me addressing the points I raise, instead of being a 'mere parrot' of what ever foolish men like Gipp have told you. Why should I care about the American Bible societies opinion, when they approve of the other translations you repudiate? Can you say; "Hypocrite!"?

Now why would inspired spelling need to be changed?

  • All translaions apart from the Geneva Bible & KJV are all wannabees - ever notice how bible translators ALWAYS make their versions 'easier' to read than the KJV? No thanks, I'll stick with old King Jimmy - always imitated, never duplicated.

  • Most KJV preachers do not play the Greek game - excellent preaching from Brother Sam Gipp

  • NIV copyright owned by RUPERT MURDOCH !

    Case proven !

If a percentage ( quota ) of words are NOT changed , he gets no loot for copyright by law !

Any damned Pastor ( Especially the SDA ) who think NIV is okay is NOT WORTH THEIR DAMNED SALT !

Some of them actually assert 'The Clear Word ' is a bible !

Waht can you expect when Paulsen , president of SDA was at Tunibgen University and taught by RATZINGER !

Get out of her my people ! Get out the Conference Church now !

  • I know out of all this is that John Ankleburg should not be trusted at all and I would not trust him no father than I can Spit.

AND Ankleburgs Holy NIV bible is not very truthful at all. It removes Acts 8:37 all together. Then it Removes Jest Christ from it 31 times and calls him or Jesus only. If you can call it a good transcript, your must be joking.

  • Reasons why this video is wacky:

1)Gipp's paranoia-- everyone's only out to "correct" the KJV

2)No one can honestly read the Greek NT?!? Really?!?

    3) Jesus almost certainly taught in Aramaic, not Greek

    4) Attitudes based on KJV being infallible (cf. Ps. 12). Why does Ps. 12 = KJV? Who knows?!

Reasons why this film is NOT wacky:

    1) There IS a WRONG way to use Greek in teaching a congregation-- and Gipp aptly characterizes it. Let's not use Greek the way Gipp wrongly says ALL scholars do.

  • New Versions are forced to changed words if they want to have their own version for copyright law purposes. If they change less than a certain amount or percentage of words from the AV, then it is still the AV just updated, hence no new copyright and no real profit. What does the Bible say is the root of all evil?

  • Sam gipp is brilliant.

And it's KJV 1611 for me all the way.

Be nice to each other or we miss the Babylon ecumenical whores apostacy that affects so many.

Keep it to the point guys.

    God bless.

  • LOL .... This guy is a looney.

  • NO ONE who can read the original-language texts would be KJV-only. The inspiration is in the Autograph, and it's provably NOT in the KJV.

    Another huckster, exposed.

  • Well, well aren't we going around the berry bush. What are you trying to say? In the process of proving your point you have disproved it. You forget all the things that David has done.Fought Goliath, Christ was in his blood line, etc.

So now because you can't disprove a point I'm talking nonsense. This conversation is going nowhere so I bid you adieu my friend (meant lightly). Have a nice life; maybe someday we will meet and have a true conversation. I can only hope not!

  • "aren't we going around the berry bush"

Berry bush? I have a suggestion. Stop eating random berries from the forest. I've heard some of them can mess with your brain. That might explain why you're crazy.

    "you have disproved it."

Disproved what? You aren't smart enough to know what the point was.

"So now because you can't disprove a point I'm talking nonsense"

    More nonsense.

  • Hmm perfect language you are using. What does the Bible say: Let your speech be with grace-Col 4:6. Hmm who's the idiot here.

The Bible says that David was a man after God's own heart. It doesn't say that he was perfect. And he admitted his sin but he did have to pay for it which is why four of his children died. I never said it was right to fornicate or murder by the way.

So then how do you account for the Greek origins of English words i.e. or word angel which comes from the greek angelos

  • "Hmm who's the idiot here."

You are (as if there was any doubt).

"The Bible says that David was a man after God's own heart."

I ask again. Do you commit adultery and murder? Can you believe what he wrote anyway? Of course you can. I'm not interested in what the KJV translators did in their life, I'm interested in the Bible.

"So then how do you account for the Greek origins of English words "

I don't "account" for them, whatever that means. You're talking nonsense.

  • David was a man after God's own heart so your point is way out of line.

No it's not working it's just quite annoying cause you are the one that seems stupid not me.

The Greek writings of the Bible were the direct inspired version of God.

I believe in verbal-plenary inspiration of the Bible. Meaning the words and very thoughts of the writers were inspired. God did not inspire the translators of the KJV.

I'm sorry to burst your bubble but that's the way it is. Sometimes the truth hurts.

  • "David was a man after God's own heart"

So does that mean you murder and fornicate, because David did so?

"The Greek writings of the Bible were the direct inspired version of God. "

The manuscripts don't exist anymore. But God DID preserve his PERFECT word in ENGLISH, which is superior to Greek.

"I'm sorry to burst your bubble but that's the way it is. Sometimes the truth hurts."

You are a conceited ass. You wouldn't know the truth if it sat in your lap and called you mama.

  • Ok first of all quit demeaning me cause it's not working. Second of all because us in here in America can't read Greek we have the English version. The English version itself is not inspired; the Greek was however. Now let me explain, when the KJV translators translated the Bible they were not inspired by God to write down the words because most of them although they may have believed that there was a God they weren't saved so God couldn't have inspired them.

  • "Ok first of all quit demeaning me cause it's not working."

If it's not working, then you don't mind if I continue, right?

"The English version itself is not inspired;"

What's your definition of "inspired?" Have they taught you that at your school?

    "the Greek was however"

What do you mean "the greek"? The language?

    "they weren't saved"

That's a bunch of hot air. Anyway, David didn't have Christ and he committed adultery and murder, but he wrote half the psalms.

  • Is this guy serious? The Bible was written in Koine Greek, if someone knows the Greek...my friend, they know the Bible!!!

  • No, the King James is superior because English is a superior language.

  • why?

  • Because that's the way God worked it out.

  • Why is English superior to Greek, Aramaic, or Hebrew? Do French and Koreans who want to become Christian need to learn English to understand Holy Scripture?

  • There are already lots of Koreans and French who know English. They teach English all over the world. This is not the case with any other language. That's one example of how English is superior. It's a world wide language. English literature is the greatest in the world. Ask any Lit. professor.

  • That didn't really answer my question. English is (temporarily) universal because of the British Empire, not because the language is better or more spiritual. Has nothing to do with Holy Scripture. Sorry.

  • Well, it's been that way for 350, and it's "temporarily" in YOUR opinion. That remains to be seen.

English is better and more spiritual. Case in point Milton, Chaucer, Shakespeare, Eliot, Hardy, Bronte, Trollope, Marlowe, Sidney, Spenser. When it comes to fame, English Lit takes the cake.

  • Whatever,

you can tell Jesus his language sucked. I won't.

  • God made all languages.

  • It is true that God used all languages but you must remember that your King James Bible came from the Greek and the Hebrew. You must also remember that although the King James Version is good it is not perfect. It is the most perfect version we have in the English language however it does have faults. Now I'm not anti-KJV, but I do have a disagreement with what you say.

  • "you must remember"

Who says I must remember, your mother?

"King James Version is good it is not perfect."

That's a lie. I will never "remember" that lie because it's FALSE.

    "Now I'm not anti-KJV"

Yes, you are anti God's word, because the KJV is God's word. You are also anti truth, anti Bible, anti God and anti Jesus.

  • No I only attend a KJV only college and church. I'm not anti Jesus or God. Jesus saved a lowly worthless sinner as I by shedding His blood on the cross of Calvary. Then rose again on the third day. Yes that is what I believe and I will stand by it to the death. I'm not trying to demean you in any way in which you have done to me but I'm trying to point out the error in your argument. I believe you left out part of what I said The King James Version is the most perfect version we have in English!

  • "The King James Version is the most perfect version we have in English!"

That's a worthless statement. It is the PERFECT, Holy word of God. If it's not perfect, then it's not INSPIRED by God (2 Timothy 3:16), it's not PURE (Proverbs 30:5), and they are not PRESERVED (Psalm 12:7). So if none of those things are true, then it's NOT SCRIPTURE, because "all scripture is given by inspiration of God.

I suggest you get your money back for your education.

  • It's difficult not to like Sam Gipp, but his reasoning is quite inadmissible. I do respect his courage, however, in defending such a patently absurd position as KJV-only, but it's easy to see why he keeps losing debates.

  • I saw this vid (not whole) by accident, and at last here is a good reason about being greek, we dont have to translate the bible, unfortunately im not a religious person but it is good to know that :P

  • You have to translate the old testament, dumbass.

  • I think that some people, acctually think they are going to stand before God and tell him what he got wrong in his holy Word. Thank the Lord Jesus Christ for men like brother Gipp, Lord bless him.

  • lol. That is so funny!

  • You sound just like the arrogant evolution-

touting professors who look down at creation

    believing teachers as unscientific.

Don't be so impressed with scholastic titles

    and man.

  • Amazing that somebody who doesn't know the first thing about Greek or Hebrew should be telling us not to study it.

  • good stuff
