John said that truly our fellowship is with the Father and the son. Once we begin to experience this, these other shallow critical debates of opinion and conviction fade away. In Christ is life. God's desire is that Christ be formed in us and God's fullness dwells in us.
@brianmpruitt there are no shallow debates on doctrine in Isaiah 28:9 God himself said through Isaiah "Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts."
People want you to think this is trivial because if they can sell you another or no doctrine they can get you to accept another Jesus.
Much of the Bible is written against false doctrine, look into it.
All of my bible versions say things differently, sometimes I have to go back to the Greek to reconcile them. I don't depend on one text, I don't have to any more, I have the internet and the wonderful bible sites and all the info. I will not go back to the Dark Ages of religion and only one version is right!
"Child" was most likely spoken in Hebrew when the apostle Peter made that prayer. Do the folks who use these other "Bibles" consider that some of the people on these translating committees are women and homosexuals.
Gipp couldn't even answer where was perfect the word of God before 1611 on the Ankerberg show. Fellow believers- sit under godly men who don't just memorize verses from the King James, but who actually study the Bible and are not ignorant of history, language, and ancient culture.
They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us. 1John 2:19
@BereanBeacon1- You don't even know how to quote verses in context- 1 John 2:19 is speaking of someone who departs from Christ, not the king james version (which by the way is not what you use today, but the 1769 version). Not a good testimony for Christ to remain ignorant and quote Scripture out of context..

Yeah, thats right Sam, tell people they're too stupid to research the Greek and Hebrew words themselves, and learn how to discern from their semantic domains, how the Author intended to use them. No, no, Sam, you're audiences are too stupid to be able to do that. Therefore, convince them that, the several times modified KJV, is the final and only translation. Good Job!!! Keep people stupid! I know out of all this is that John Ankleburg should not be trusted at all and I would not trust him no father than I can Spit.

2)No one can honestly read the Greek NT?!? Really?!?
3) Jesus almost certainly taught in Aramaic, not Greek
4) Attitudes based on KJV being infallible (cf. Ps. 12). Why does Ps. 12 = KJV? Who knows?!
Reasons why this film is NOT wacky:
1) There IS a WRONG way to use Greek in teaching a congregation-- and Gipp aptly characterizes it. Let's not use Greek the way Gipp wrongly says ALL scholars do.

The Bible says that David was a man after God's own heart. It doesn't say that he was perfect. And he admitted his sin but he did have to pay for it which is why four of his children died. I never said it was right to fornicate or murder by the way.
So then how do you account for the Greek origins of English words i.e. or word angel which comes from the greek angelos
"The Bible says that David was a man after God's own heart."
I ask again. Do you commit adultery and murder? Can you believe what he wrote anyway? Of course you can. I'm not interested in what the KJV translators did in their life, I'm interested in the Bible.
"So then how do you account for the Greek origins of English words "
I don't "account" for them, whatever that means. You're talking nonsense.
David was a man after God's own heart so your point is way out of line.

Yes that is what I believe and I will stand by it to the death. I'm not trying to demean you in any way in which you have done to me but I'm trying to point out the error in your argument. I believe you left out part of what I said The King James Version is the most perfect version we have in English!
"The King James Version is the most perfect version we have in English!"
That's a worthless statement. It is the PERFECT, Holy word of God.
