  • so this is UDK... is there an RDK? if it is, let me know.. i wanna start making my own horror video games! (:

  • I like it, well done =)

  • dude that gun looks AWESOME and you seem to have good skills in level detailing, keep up the good work:)

  • @DJGroopa That gun is the default gun in the game, and he has not mad it by himself.

  • @JG4m3r yea i noticed it when i started using UDK :D

  • Add some scary music in there and it will be perfect :)

  • Question out of curiosity.. How did you get it so areas are 100% black? Lightmass always seems to distribute lighting among my levels, but I want dark places like that..

  • how do you do the button press

  • is there any tutorial on internet to learn how to do that?!??! do you need to know any programming language (like c++) ???

  • @Andratos95 UnrealScript The free UDK does not incluse de source code, so C++ is not available.

  • the graphics remind me of doom 3

  • Sound is by far the most important element of a horror game

  • Great lighting. Definitely set the atmosphere along with the clostrophobic corridors.

Sky box looks a little light mind, but didn't really subtract from the experience.

    GJ.

  • realistic level (objects) but i think with a real weapon the level is a lot better

  • awesome quality mate, i just dled this today and im going to have a loong day working out everything tomorrow haha

  • Thats cool. That swinging robots nice :)

  • How did you get a ragdoll version of the robot? I need one of those.

  • pro

  • Hello , very very nice video , i like your models ! but could you do a short tutorial to export mesh from blender but with a material , cause in udk the model appear but with no material/textures and i don't want to always import my texture one by one in the udk... . or can explaine me =) tHanks =)

  • Well done, but the corridor's too clean to be scary. Maybe add some corpses or bloodsains. At least you should make it messy;P Otherwise thumbs up!

  • Great stuff, you really set the mood with your lighting.

  • Very nice im doing horror maps as well futuristic but i dont know how to do sparks or lifts yet the problem i get is 'the object above you are using is a static mesh actor not a dynamic actor the object may not function properly' ah well i know how to do flickering lights though . did you use matinee for the swinging robot anyway . Very nice map :)

  • nice work. first hallway reminded me of F.E.A.R

  • can someone tell me if the kit is shooter only cuz i would love to use this to make my somewhat medieval sword fighting game

  • @nexusmaximus1k

No its free choice, you can create anything...

  • hey does the program come with premade weapons because i swear i've seen that gun before in another vid and i so can you make other weapons to use besides them like a sword

  • you can make the horror feeling better if you add some blood. just simple type in content browser.

  • Nice work. One of the best levels I've seen as of yet.

  • some serious talent here man can you do a step by step tutorial on how you made this level?

  • Ey cool work man, can you please make a tutorial on how to this (create a level with variety of stuff in it), i subscribed just in case u make a tut... peace

  • how did u make that elastic rope??

  • sick 5/5

  • Did you use the lightmass?

  • Place a running girl at the end of the level that runs toward a shadow and then disappears when you come close, then it'll be cool :>

  • ok not realy scary

  • more dead robots all of the place, tomb stones out side, and 1 pain in the butt AI that continues to scare the crap out of you no matter what and this map would be tight

  • how do you get rid of the GUI? I seem to can't find where its located at

  • how did u get the motion blur to work?

  • @Assassinsfreak this might be a lil late, but I think you have to put a PostProcessVolume in the level then edit its properties to enable Motion blur and other crap

  • You need to work more on the lighting . Becouse shadows in reallife are not 100% dark.

  • It's due to YouTube's video conversion.... they are not black ingame.

  • @fallingbrickwork it looks extremely good in my opinion

  • @hydzior Who cares anyway... There's no lazer guns in real life either. If the dark shadow serves the target of the game wich is horror according to the title.. then be it that way... The best games ever created in the hystory of games industry were made before lightmass came in.

  • @Priest909 lightmass is nothing new . Games like quake2 are using global illumination to bake lightmaps ;]

  • @hydzior All I'm saying here is that everyone in game develpment these days are so obsesed with the so caled "detail" that we have lost the real deal which is the game itself.

In the current video the sharp shadow serves game's needs... Of course it could take some more improvement but... it does what it is supposed to do.

  • @hydzior set full hd :)

  • @hydzior set 720p hd

  • @hydzior

In April version, a shadow problem is solved. In April shadows aren't 100% black.

    BTW.

    Siema hydzior ;)

  • looks awesome!! Now you have only to make your own Models and more Levels and then its a great game!

  • One question, were these 3d models created by you? or you downloaded from a web.

Where can i find these 3d models? I want to create a non-futuristic demo, but I'm not 3d artist. Please give me some help

  • All the level building models were made by me. Some of the static items (barrels, crates etc) were from Dexsoft.

  • Comment removed

  • are you able to model your own guns and characters because all of the vids ive seen have the same ones

  • They are all the same, just different conversions using different graphic engines. I'm still unsure of which engine to use, so i'm using this to make a comparison

  • so if i want to make my own models i will have to use something else like 3dsmax? because i heard blender models aren't compatible and I don't want to spend 4000 dollars on 3ds max

  • Blender can export models in just about any format. I would be VERY suprised if none of those formats were compatible with UDK.

  • good. cuz i have blender but someone said they werent compatible. can ii use it for commercial games

  • you just need an ase exporter if it doesn't export as that natively (which it may not). If an exporter is required, you'll get one for blender no probs.

  • Yes you can use your own models for commerical games; it's your choice XD If you're talking about Blender, yes. If you're talking about UDK, there's a license on their website. I think it's after the first $10,000 in profits for your game, you have to start paying them royalties thereafter.

  • yea i know about that.

  • Then why'd you ask? O.o

  • i just meant i know about the license

  • blender and free.

its a good tool for game making.

3dsmax it overpriced if you only will game makeing.

  • @horrorfinatic You can make your own yes.

  • nice level... maybe you need to rebuild lighting since the weapon model doesn't cast or recieve shadows.

  • Looks very good. The waepon model is beatifull. I also liked howyou implemented the rope with the body. keep it going

  • @VisualKnights

    The weapon is built in
