Apart from 1:07-2:24 (being too cliché and unnecessary, Bambi could´ve just been traumatized by the dog chase), a CGI log and Ronno being a bit too cocky to enjoy, this wasn´t nearly as bad as Disney sequels tend to be. I´d actually go as far as to say that even though I wouldn´t buy it if seen in store, it certainly was worth the time watching it.

man, now I saw this movie for second time I think I realized the meaning of the two plants and the butterfly at the end: The bigger plant represents bambi's dad, he's the prince of the forest and that's why this is the bigger plant, the littlest plant represents bambi and if you look carefuly you can see it's connected with the big plant because it has born a link between bambi and his dad, and now the butterfly represents bambi mother's soul. Well, that's I think.

@ScarletWolf1000 I agree and disagree with you. On one hand you are right as a disney's direct to DVD sequels It's not bad, but on the other hand it wasn't necessary to make. It didn't capture what the original film was going for, and I kinda liked that there was a bit of mystery between bambi and his dad's relationship and this film sort of takes it away.

Is it as good as the original? Not a chance. Does it help or contribute to the original? nope. Is it decent in it's own right. yeah.

@weirdoinpink Well, like he said in the beginning, The Great Prince watches the herd while the Does care for the young. He takes his role very seriously. I bet if he was just a regular stag, he'd have been more of a father to Bambi the minute he was born. :/

@girligirl2341 Actually, bucks/ stags don't take on fatherly roles with the young. Deer and their cousins such as elk and moose don't mate for life like eagles do. This would defeat the main purpose of antlers and bugles.
