  • Come to think of it, there are probably only two people his Geass will never work on: C.C., and Nunnally. I mean, Nunnally is blind, and he needs direct eye-to-eye contact...

  • @TheNaughtyYuri as far as you know he will use it on one of them sometime

  • @iceyflamez Have you finished the series yet?

  • WHAT IS THE SONG AT 18:10 SOMEBODY PLEASSEE

  • *explosion*

Everyone "Oh no! What's going on?! Quick, stop them!"

Lloyd "Oh good, something to end this paperwork"

  • Suzaku is going to be the Knight obviously

  • A lot of people are saying that Kira/Light and Lelouch are alike. I thought I'd throw my two cents in and say, I think they share some similarities but I believe that Lelouch is more like Macbeth. Both started out completely different however, driven by power (the geass for Lelouch and the desire of power for Macbeth.) Through each episode I see Lelouch's limits/morals/mind becoming more and more distorted (much like Macbeth). I just hope it wont end in a horrible death.

  • also, lelouch is nothing like kira/light. sure, both of them are insanely smart, but their motives are completely different. both of them are unsatisfied with their world, and are given a chance to put their ideas in motion by a special power, the death note and geass. however, lelouch is aiming to create a better world, and solve his unanswered questions, like who killed his mother. light is trying to kill of people he sees "unfit" and become a "god", similar to Nazism. Light has less sanity.

  • 22:07 the first of many, just so you know.

  • Lelouch's laugh xD

  • Here is the difference between lelouch and suzaku. Imagine the brittanian army being like a corrupt police force. Suzaku has chosen to become an officer and change the system in a lawfull way from within, and lelouch decided to become batman. both are striving towards a better future, just in different ways.

  • Why does everybody compare Code Geass with Death Note? I mean... Lelouch can't really kill people (yes, he kills people, but you know what I mean) and I don't think he's that crazy. At least not yet... ???

  • "Click on CC and turn it on" That's just wrong...

  • @rainbow700704 I was just about to point out that irony myself

  • HE LOST HIS MIND!!!!!

  • LULU FOR MALE MODELING! <3

  • i want the first opening back. it's much more epic

  • at the end when lelouche was laughing i started laughing too...weird huh

  • Lulu went crazy :o

  • I DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUGURT,CARS, OR PHONES!!! WE WANT OUR ANIME!!!

  • "the password is my favorite food!" hahaha! wow.....

  • what's with the evil laugh at the end

  • The subs are wrong...frogs dont say "Kero-kero" they say "Gero-gero"....if you're gonna fail on subs, at least get the animal noises right

  • @superliciousCA think of keropi from sanrio.

  • Kero-Kero huh? Yes! A new sound to annoy my friends with :D

  • Its awesome i can watch this on my android phone :D swweeeet no more boring roadtrips :D

  • Nothing wrong with the intro in my opinion.

  • The intro sucks but the ending song is good :D

  • 4:50 OMFG!!!!! TODOHS EYEBROWS ARE SO FUCKIN BEAASSTT!! OMG JUST LOOK AT HIM >:O SOOOOO PROOOOOO

  • I like the new intro... and the music @ 14:20

  • @zxtristanxz I think the ending's really good :D

  • theres always 3 dislikes in every code geass.

haters actually spend time disliking every code geass vids

  • 2:11 to skip intro

  • I wish we had an art week in our school :(

  • @Sniper81495 It's called "Picaresque" by Sakai Mikio.

  • suzaku really sucks. not only is he a hyprocrite, he is also a SUCK UP for authority! just think about the people he betrayed and was even willingly to kill his closest ones for authority and for BRITINANNIA!!!!!!! BULLY OF THE WORLD! suzaku's logic is really unrealistic, hyprocritical to what he says, annoying and lots more! EVEN HIS FINAL PLANS SUCKS and not surprisingly requires more betrayal

  • Think about it, This is like a game of chess. Suzaku is the white knight, and Lelouch is the Black King. Kallen is the Black Queen, and Cornelia is the White Queen. And so on...

  • @ZXShadow1 ....then who's the white king...?

  • @Scorpio7500 The Emperor of Brittainia

  • @Scorpio7500 Lelouch's father.

  • evil laugh, unffff!

  • Also, that is seriously a cool laugh :D

  • I don't get why everyone loves the english dub so much...clearly the sub is better. Lelouch's voice in japanese is way more man than it is in english, just sayin.

  • @00ErgoProxy00

    english dubs are far superior.

  • @00ErgoProxy00 he is not supost to be a man he is in high school so it makes no sense for it to sound mannley/

  • @goldfox177 I'm sorry, how does that response make any sense? Of course he can sound manly in high school, he IS male. Also, if you're going to try and tear me a new one, make sure your spelling is up to snuff or else you're just embarrassing yourself.

  • @00ErgoProxy00 what do you mean how, when you watch/ listen to the sub version he sounds like an old man, in the dub version he sounds like he is in high school or middle school which he is in high school

  • 22:07 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA

somehow he always makes me laugh on that part

  • wtf this isnt english none of them are

  • @dragoo468

No duh, wonder why they call it English Sub?

  • @IcyGodX i thought i clicked on english dub

  • What a sexy laugh.

  • Poor Lelouch, don't worry baby, I'm here ;D haha, jk. D:

  • yo why is his laugh so horrible???

  • lol they farting out gas...... literally!

  • What do you do when something traumatic and unexpected happens?

Laugh like a madman of course! (this isn't the only time this happens ._.)

  • That sure is one scary laugh...

  • Suzaku isn't bad per se, he just can't see the ground for the sky, or whatever that quote is.

  • @1994chocolatemilk And I just remembered the quote. He can't see the forest for the trees.

  • Hi sparklymage.

I do agree with you; however, Suzaku's ideas are innocent and pleasant, but Lelouch is more practical and usefull. Also, I do belive Leoluch is far more fearsome since he justifies means for the end and would go to any extend to achieve the needed and desired outcome, which is rational and practical. Also, Suzaku is pychologically scarred, murdering his own father; hence, he has put a lot of restrains on himself and does not allow himself to break the rules.

  • i like the opening more and more

  • I agree with Bryanwhat. Suzaku may be a hypocrite, but hypocrisy is not an argument. He is not inherently wrong just because he is a hypocrite. He has a good line later on "what about people who have no choice but to be in the system". That encapsulates his philosophy better than just rules. He is not wrong. And he may be simplistic, but what choice does he really have? That is why Suzaku and Lelouch have to be feared, for they are men without choices.

  • @sparklymage I see what Suzaku is trying to do but I still don't agree with it. We (almost) always have options; there are truly very few situations where you can only make one move. Suzaku DOES have a choice, and he has made what he thinks is the best decision for his situation and goals. I respect his dedication, and most of all his ability to go on amid death and the guilt of killing his father, but I still don't think his actions are right. He has become an enabler.

  • otaku wants to know how the lancelot is possible, SUPERotaku wants to know what floyd's favorite food is. Proud to be a SUPERotaku. Are you?

  • LOVE THIS episode!!! lelouch finally knows..

  • The opening of this reminds me of blood+'s 4th opening, except that was good. >.> This one gets on my nerves.

    The ending is great though.

  • Hm... That maniacal laughter doesn't seem like a good sign. <.<

  • KERO-KERO

  • o i know they did the same thng with blood+ but thn the 3rd song was better thn the 2nd but i still liked the 1st song they had

  • ugh this intro song sucks. i have no idea why they would change it. the other one was way better!

  • i hate euphie and suzaku they're foolish

  • i think he reached the point like in death note where he turns from Light to Kira, permanently. There really isn't a Lelouch anymore, just Zero feigning Lelouch

  • Agreed.

  • Ohh wow......So zero is going crazy?

  • I just noticed....Code Geass is like Death Note and Gundam combined. Lelouche and Light both have supernatural powers( the death note and the geass.)They both have someone that gave them those (C.C. and Ryuk.) and the only reference to gundam is world peace and knightmare frames.

  • Plus Yu-Gi-Oh. Blind sister like Serenity and Lelouche takes care of her like Mokuba (sp)

  • 3:37

As littlekuriboh would say, "every time Lelouch smiles, a puppy dies"

  • @battousai12345 And a few kittens.

  • @battousai12345 More like "Every time Lelouch smiles, a Cheese-kun dies" ^_^

  • @battousai12345 thats for kaiba. for lelouch isnt it "everytime a puppy dies, Lelouch smiles"

  • @Akamatsuki

Glad to see that someone understands my YGOTAS reference. Cheers!

  • @Akamatsuki

Although, I should point out that switching the phrase around actually makes Lelouch sound less sinister in that a puppy dying is unrelated to Lelouch smiling. But joking that by merely smiling, Lelouch can kill things implies that he is far more evil and capable of causing grief than Light with his deathnote. Just a little logic there. :D

  • @battousai12345 i knew it was a joke... but what i said was true...,

  • @battousai12345 more like, every time lelouch blinks, a puppy dies

  • LMAO so true man... Its almost rediculous how much this series copies from others, but oh well.

I LOVE Death Note and Gundam 00 which are the animes that form this... so in the end I'm happy with it because I get both in one anime.

  • Gundam 00 came out after this. But I get your point.

  • The only thing that's similar to Death Note is that both Light and Lelouch have "absolute powers" - and the only thing similar to Gundam 00 is that there are mecha.

Anyone who thinks this a "rip-off series" gives the source anime too little credit.

  • Ok!... Did you read the second half of my comment? XD

I love this anime even though it's a perfect example of a stereotypical mecha/superpower anime ;O

  • I did, yes - I was kinda taking your comment as a general opinion rather than exactly -your- comment, you know what I mean? =P Regardless, yes, I'm surprised I enjoyed this anime so.

  • @RMBolt Don't forget Full Metal Panic!

  • Light and zero work too much alike it's kinda creepy how they work, but effective huh

  • Gero Gero! HAHHA that made my day. XD

  • I'm so sick of anti-Suzaku people. Is he a perfect person, purely righteous and incapable of wrong-doing? Of course not. Just like Lelouch, he's a flawed person doing the best he can to accomplish his goals. He's more torn up about things than Lelouch, so you could say he 'whines' but look at his past and his present and its not totally unfounded. Really, he's just an unhappy person with inward directed anger who is trying to do good to make himself feel better. That's not so terrible, is it?

  • Actually, he kinda reminds me of Galad from the Wheel of Time series. He tries to act in the name of justice, but often he ends up hurting the people he loves. Of course, Suzaku does this less than Galad.

  • Yeah and the school uniforms make me think of Asha'man minus the Dragons. I wish they'd make a WOT anime. Thatd be awesome.

  • several companies have bought the rights to wheel of time movies

  • It is terrible if he accuses Zero of self satisfaction if he strives for self satisfaction himself. Nothing but a hypocrite. Even though Suzaku hates killing and he frowns upon, he joins the military which is inadvertently going to lead to killing. I honestly hate Suzaiku's backward ideals and hypocrisy, but i did soften towards him during Zero Requiem.

  • Yes, suzaku's ideals are total BS. He even participated in the shinjuku massacre (providing support to the britannian forces), wtf kind of rationalization did he have in mind? It was zero that stopped the massacre, not suzaku's idiotic ideology.

  • @hasenj In all fairness its not like he was killing any of the people off other then the ones that were fighting and even ended up saving one that Zero himself was even about to kill trying to slow the Lancelot (Shooting the building and the Woman and her baby falling)

And another point of view WW2 the US dropped a bomb on Hiroshima a city killing hundreds of people that were not even a part of the war other then they were from japan.

  • @Bryanwhat lol if u didn't notice this but when we (U.S) dropped the bomb all that was left was a gate and in the last episode with all the bodies was the gate. but what was Haenj's comment if you rememeber lol.

  • zero is soo mutch like light from DN he even has a creepy giggle lagh thingy

  • I think Zero is a weeee bit smarter than Light...I miss Light. I REEEEALLY miss L.

  • r u joking me? light is way smarter than zero plus he's an athlete too.

  • ~laughs~ No, I wasn't, but yeah after watching a few more, I'll have to agree. Light is the smarter of the two

  • Intelligence is subjective. In the end, Light may have been more factually intelligent, but in terms of strategy, he was the worse of the two. His arrogance clouded his actions and lead to his death, where as Lelouch accomplished his goals. In that respect, Lelouch was the wiser of the two.

  • And that is exactly why he died pitifully without accomplishing his goal. Light is turned into arrogant being of destruction. Lelouch kept it together to the very end. Where's is Light's smartness now?

  • Acting like this after seeing Suzaku is his enemy is showing Lelouche stills has a hold of his humanity. Lelouche's emotions get in the way of his judgement over his decisions, which is way he doesn't want to involve anyone he truly holds dear. This what he sees in humanity itself, and this is why he strives to change the world.

  • 13:14

  • Suzaku's methodology makes very very little sense to me O.o

He is trying to help out the "Elevens" by becoming an obedient soldier in the army that commits genocide on them????

    I confuzzled

  • Suzaku is, for want of a better description, a selfish, egotistical version of Kira Yamato from Gundam Seed. He outclasses everyone when he is in his mech, and he wants to avert war with as little bloodshed as possible. But, his mindset is that his way of bringing peace to Japan is the only "right" way, which is to join Britainia and change the system from within; an anyone who tries to fight Britainia like Zero or his father, have to be eliminated to preserve the current peace.

  • Aye, it seems to stem from unresolved problems with his father, mainly acceptance. Since his father didn't fully accept him, he misplaces his needs onto Brittiania society. The problem is that he's so busy trying to fit into it, that he can't understand people going against it.

  • Lelouch had gone insain like Mao!!! NOOO!!!!!

  • Never before have I heard a laugh so demented.

  • r u kiddin me the laugh that light in death note makes is so much more demented

  • Thats kinda obvious you know

  • Man whoever chose the new intro theme really needs to get some better taste in music.

  • @Harashi360 the only time that i would LIKE the intro would be the beginning, where Lelouch does his epic hand wave :D

  • @Harashi360 in no way it beats the first one! also what a racist world 1/4 eleven blood seriously wtf!

  • @Harashi360 I like the intro. ._.

  • kero kero kero kero

    hehehe

  • woah someones snapped XD

  • Whoa, what's the theme music at 14:17?

    And daaayum, Lulu's gone cuckoo...o_o

  • ok tohdor or whoever is totally hot and off the CHAIN! I love his crazy laughter at the end. I'd of laughed too, at the complete absurdity of it. Of course it'd be his best friend. of course!!! hahaha!!! gotta love it. Susaku is such a whiny idiot. Sometimes he really pisses me off.

  • gawd the op still pisses the shit outta me for killing my ears

  • does anyone else like lloyd or is it just me =P

  • Lloyd is one of my favorite characters ^^

  • Its annoying when the ad freezes -.-

  • for some reason i usually don't get ads.. only sometimes..

  • yes! THE EPIC LULU LAUGH HAS ARRIVED!!!!!!!!!

  • sighh...these adds D:<

right before the add in the middle finishes, it freezes...making have to refresh the whole page... :[ makes me sad.. DX

  • lolololololololololol

  • its because its anime

  • ...Am I the only one that is amazed, that when the enemy fires a bazillion bullets at the "good guys" or protagonists, that none of the bullets conveniently hit. However when the protagonists fire they always seem to blow up the enemy right away....convenient eh?

P.S. Sorry... in my last comment I misspelled Light, it isn't suppose to be Knight, it's suppose to be Light. I am sleep deprived. x3 I do apologize.

  • lmfao Lelouch's laugh at the end..

  • .......That...laugh was so awesome lol

  • lol "kero-kero"

  • Sorry Lelouch,Iroi already beat you to that laugh :)

  • o shit, lelouch is losing it o.0

i hope he doesn't turn out like light (from death note)

    =[

  • Ja. I did an analogy a while back saying how Lelouch reminded me of Knight. Even the hair style is similar...

So if Lelouch is Light, who is L?

  • this is a diffrent anime so no l

  • You know, there are more intelligent people on YouTube. I remember when I told myself no matter what, I'd type in complete sentences by myself, because I was taught to write in complete sentences. I guess either I influenced a lot more people than I expected, or more people decided on their own to put in punctuation and capitalize letters. I think we should congratulate some YouTube users.

  • I totally agree. I never got used to saying stuff like "ur da nub u non-pwnzer." Nor have I used the "ALL CAPS" 'font.' I know of it yes, and hey, i like using lol, but that's it, To me, its like many people will become non-literate and substitute real words with idiotic terms. Hell, even in non-serious, friendly e-mails do I type strait sentences. Its overall gotten to the point that only the original poster is the only one able to read their comment.

  • I agree. The people who negated your post, lowjack55, probably do everything you said. I hate it when people abbreviate real life. It's come to the point that it's slower for me to type without proper grammar and punctuation.

  • Yeah, in fact, what i have also noticed is the on-going creation of new "acronyms." Here is an example: I love Call of Duty, but guess what happened? "COD", people have even begun to pronounce cod, like the fish. Its annoying. Todays generation is going to suffer greatly, whether they will admit it or not

  • lol, it's just the internet!

  • I KNOWZ RITE I TOTTALY AGREE

  • before u guys watch season 2 ending , remember "i destroy worlds i create worlds" one of the best endings ive ever seen in an anime.

  • Hey! No spoilers! D:<

  • Ahaha, the beginning made me laugh, he made Lelouch all like (:D

  • lelouch snapped just crazy lol

  • the way this is going reminds me a daytime soap opera with some lackluster action sequences. Getting kind of tired of the series. Do you guys recommend me to continue watching?

  • keep watching, it gets better.

  • If you don't like it then don't watch it, find something you like to watch.

  • There are Bishonen (pretty boys) in some(if not all) of the gundam series too, you know.

  • Relax, no one is trying to "play the victim", it's just a fictional story.

  • Yeah, because nobody has ever used a fictional story as an allegory for anything. Sorry, I forgot that fiction can't be used to reflect on real life, my bad.

  • I didn't say that fiction can't be used allegorically to convey deeper meaning, I just don't believe that the writer was trying to evoke pity on his nationality by putting them in the position of the underdog. Ichirō Ōkouchi was simply putting the anime into context for the culture which he belongs to.

  • Would you prefer it if the story revolved around a society that didn't have a history of imperialism? Or perhaps you just have some resentment towards the Japanese. If so, you do realize this is a JAPANESE animation that you're watching, don't you?

  • Man, Japanese frogs are Crazy. Kero?
