@brunobelon It refers to the blood of Jesus washing sins away. Baptism is to represent giving up the old self and rising with the new. Only the blood of Jesus can wash sins away.

That is what salvation is, being forgiven by willingly accepting, trusting, and asking Jesus for cleansing. That's why the song is 'Oh Happy Day' because it is so simple and so amazing.

Perhaps you don't understand Spanish and that's why you were confused about what part of @SrtaRikita 's comment I was responding to. Therefore it wouldn't be "Me enseñó a lavar, luchar, y rezar," but rather, "Me enseñó a vigilar y rezar/orar."
