@Revmostrite Yes you're right, the hooping and the hollering is a substitute for actually saying something substantial from God's word. If he said, "little bo peep -has lost her sheep" in that voice the people would shout halelujah. If you asked the people there, 'What did you learn about the character of God?" You'd get a blank stare. Apostolics are embracing biblical orthodoxy in droves becuase there is no meat in the theological wasteland known as Oneness Pentecostalism. May it continue.

@jormar6 wow... wasteland?... what a lot of ppl dont know is that Apostolics do believe in the trinity. 1John says that 3 bear record in heaven and these 3 are 1. we just emphasize the oness of god. we got the holyghost just like everyone else... 1 God workin in all thru all. Rom 14 talks about statements like the one u just made. Im apostolic and my closest friends are COGIC. and we all are serving the same god. there is only 1 church mentioned in the bible, the church of God!

@TheSteph308 My friend you must be new to the Apostolic faith or in a watered down Apostolic church. I grew up Apostolic (2nd gen.) and NO they don't believe in the holy Trinity. Apostolics believe that there is only one person in the godhead, trinitarians believe that there is one God revealed in three persons. Apostolics believe there is one God revealed in three manifestations - big difference, not just semantics. Oneness or modalism belief was condemned by the early church as heresy.

Seems to me some of you are forgetting the foundations of the Bible. God the father is the author of it....The trinity is 3 in 1...God the Father...creator of all things including His Son....Jesus his only begotten son in whom he sent to die for us...and the holy spirit which we must receive in order to enter into heaven....Jesus is our Lord in the flesh during his time here on earth. The holy spirit came there after to keep us..How can you preach only Jesus without the other???? That is all.

@Mamma2Alex09 In Jesus is the FULLNESS of the Godhead bodily, and we are COMPLETE in Him, which is the HEAD of ALL principality AND power!!! (Col 2:9). So preaching Jesus is preaching Father, Son and Holy Ghost. However, we DO preach about the Father and Holy Spirit as well! We also preach about Jehovah Jireth, Jehovah Rapha, El-Shaddai etc because these are ALL titles of the same One God.

@2nd Sunday sorry buy you are very sadly mistaken. I was born and raised apostolic and we preach Jesus. Baptized in Jesus name and you will never hear an apostolic doctrine that says anything about the trinity. COGIC and Apostolic basically do the same thing for the most part but there are minor differences. Act 2:38 and Jesus name not being one of them.

there is a difference between cojic and apostolic. one teaches and preaches jesus. the other teaches and preaches the trinty. one baptizes in the father ,son,holyspirit.the other baptizes in acts 2:38 one live holy the other talks about living holy.there is a difference. i am an apostle under 35 and I liked bishop ge patterson but ill never be cojic. i believe in the apostolic doctrine amen somebody.

I'm from memphis, and back in the day, he and my uncle, who is an apostolic pastor in memphis, were the only "apostles" in the city. Just because he was a Cogic bishop doesn't mean anything. He taught Jesus, and Baptized in Jesus Name. But I do know what you mean. There are some that do that. But there are also apostolics ppl that "talk" about living holy. Thats everywhere! lol
