@sparklevine I'm not sure why you think that Lisa's Dance Studio is expensive. She's been in Quincy for over twenty years, and I don't think that she'd still

be in business if she were significantly more than other studios. But,

let's say, for the sake of argument, that she is more than other dance

schools, then we'd have to say that the value returned - the instruction,

the choreography and the finished product (the Recital) - is heads above

those offered elsewhere.

I've been to a few of Lisa's recitals, as well as others', and there are very few dance schools who's recitals offer the production values. Maybe Sherri Gold's, but I don't know of any others.

I've also looked into other recreational activities for my kids. Karate

is FAR more expensive. Sports camp? Not even in the same class. I'm

afraid to look into gymnastics or cheerleading.

I can't believe that you're looking to do anything but intentionally mislead people about Lisa's Dance Studio.

Here are the facts about last year: CSDC never actually booked the day, never paid the Hingham School Dept and, therefore, never had a contract. The custodian was severly reprimanded for allowing them to use the gym. Lisa's had thousands of dollars worth of equipment already onstage, and would have been liable to parents, equipment owners and the Town had something bad happened. I understand that you love your dance school, Amanda, but please don't disparage us on what is, at best, a half truth.
