Saw Phil and the Fabulous Jacuzzi's at the Berkeley Community Theater during his first tour in '82, and The West Side was in the set then. Sitting in the 10th row to the side nearest the horn section was nothing short of breathtaking. They were every bit as incredible then as in the '85 tour. The entire bands' musicianship was phenomenal, and Phil's performance was electrifying the entire concert. Watching this gives me goosebumps! One of the greatest performers of our time, with a doubt!
this song is awesome, my dad had this album when i was little and ive loved it ever since. imagine this song against a chase scene in an action move - cooool!
Maybe it's Peter Robinson (Quatermass) who already toured with him before (after "Hello, I must be going" came out). Google a pic of him and then say what you think.
The bass resonated so profusely that on the third row it made the hairs vibrate on my arms like I was in a windstorm. Incredible show. Thanks for bringing back the memories. WC
@mduphily01 are there any videos of collins doing an actual drum solo? i mean a solo. that means one player, no other music, no cherter, no leland, no nobody. just collins and some drums. i'd love to see that.
