I love PJ, but Backspacer was just too light for me. Their most 'pop' sounding album in my opinion. Loved Just Breathe and The End, liked The Fixer and Got Some, the rest was pretty forgettable.

I was pissed that PJ sounded like Yield after Ten/Vs./Vitalogy. Now I'd kill for them to sound like Yield/No Code again.

I think this is a beautiful and inspiring song about faith and strength of conviction. Whether Eddie is an Atheist or not should matter very little to the ideas of the song and how they are interpreted by the listener. You have to admit that The Christ imagery is very strong in this piece, and whether or not that's what he was going for, that's up to you to decide for yourself.
