  • It was much funnier when I was 12 years old

  • where's the fourth monkee.. peter tork????

  • i remember this.. laugh in was the best...but if you really want to step into the way-back machine check out playboy after dark...rat pack and all

  • I was have got Nude for Micky Lmfao

  • lol i loved the way micky said "Nud-Ah" haha!

  • It would have been so much funnier with Peter there... I wonder if there's a Beatles episode... *searches*

  • love how the girs mess up the dance, I wonder if they were supposed to do that

  • I will never foregive Dolenz for 'Metal Mickey'.

  • why?

  • Did you ever watch the rubbish?, concocted I believe by Dolenz. Appologise if I am wrong. The father was portrayed as some sort of numbskull thicko while the kids were, of course, Brain of Britain material.

  • no, but I have heard of the show

  • the reason peter wasnt there was because he left the group because he and mike werent getting along

  • No, because he didn't like the idea of The Monkees recording separately and no one wanted to work with one another.

  • i was wondering where is Peter Tork?

  • He left the group.

  • oh, jeeze i forgot. and i call myself a monkees fan. thanks for replying

  • Damn, Mike pelted Davy like Homey the Clown usta do folks on "In Living Color".

  • It was lotsa fun - Mickey

  • Again, lots of fun to watch. Thanks!

  • With the blurryness of the videos on YouTube, Mike has a slight resemblence to Pete Townshend

  • jo anne was awesome!

  • Mike really belted Davy on the back of his head with that newspaper. Methinks he was in a bad mood or something...

  • Mike wasn't a happy camper those days.

  • True. The Monkees' records weren't selling well anymore. I think his marriage was going through a rough patch too because he was caught having an affair.

  • Dan is dead and Dick is probably in a nursing home now.

  • r u serius?

  • Dan did, in fact, die in the late 80s.

Not sure what Dick is up to, but he's still alive.

  • Dick Died last Saturday.

  • Seriously, did Davy really need to refer to a cue card on that line??

They must have been up partying that night:)

  • In the noo..duh... Micky, I luv ya!

  • Mike looks like he's 3 seconds away from slitting his wrists: "Boy, that sounds exciting."

  • Mike Nesmith: The original emo boy...

  • tottaly agree!

  • Tork never appeared on Laugh-in. I don't know why, I guess he just didn't like the show. All 3 of the other Monkees went on, and always together.

  • Tork had left the band at the time.

  • Was this a clue that peter Tork was dead ?

  • So that's how the news is made! I KNEW it!

  • very entertaining!!

  • GOTTA LOVE MIKE Thats too Funny!!

  • i love davy

  • "The 'knights' are getting shorter."LOL,love it.

  • How come Peter Tork wasn't on the show?

  • Oh.

  • It was a sad day when Trio went off the air. A sad day indeed :-(

  • Soooooo funny still......THANKS!

  • lOVED TO SEE DAN ROWAN AND DICK MARTIN AGAIN. LOVE THE FOOTAGE. LOVED THE SHOW

  • Ahhhh, Goldie....what a FOX!!! She was the Britney Spears of her day.

  • This is one of the funnies shows ever!

  • I don't blame Mike for not wanting to work for Lawrence Welk, either, because he knew the way he told Davy that there were better opportunities because of Lawrence Welk being a drag like everything and everyone else like the show and him. But, if Davy wanted to go to that path then, he could just go ahead because Mike didn't care although Micky didn't likewise.

  • I love this. I knew that they appeared on the show with how read it on an online profile of Mike when it talked about his list of credits due to his career and this one was one of them. Peter did quit after their made-for-TV "special". But, this added more "umph" to the trio's triumph during the ending of their career when they made their last two albums of "Instant Replay" and "Changes".

  • Peter Tork left the group by Oct. '69, then? He wasn't mentioned in this clip.

  • Yes, Peter officially quit The Monkees on December 30, 1968.

  • @monkeemen Not officially He came back

  • This is great! I never knew they appeared on that show, thanks much monkee men

  • What's great about TV shows that ran during the late sixties was the incredible amount of color used in the backdrops and costumes. I don't think there's any other era in TV pop culture that can compare in that aspect.
