You don't need to do the second gel placement at 0:09. If you place it like you did at 0:13 and then bunnyhop to gain enough speed, you can make it. But very nice route! it helped me find mine.

I managed to do something similar when I played through it with someone else.

He was really surprised when he learned that you didn't need the floor-button to raise the platform at all, much lulz were had.
