  • Yay! A glutenfree recipe ! :D More of those please !

  • who's that goddess in the beginning?

  • damn TayZonday talks a lot and very picky. im impressed with Sorted for getting all of that

  • Comment removed

  • how would you make this for someone who cannot have dairy products

  • @Sieffy13 soy milk? or other plant based milks? (almond, rice, oat etc...)

  • The awkward moment when you notice Mike uses the same spoon he tasted the mixture with to flatten the brownie mixture in the cases HAHAHAHA

  • CHOCOLATE TRAIN. *dead*

  • I love how Ben was taking notes. :')

  • Can you do something vegan? Because I'm looking at all this and undoubtedly, it looks delicious, but I can't eat it...

  • @sortedfood Can you do more recipes using organic/fair trade products? To get the word out that using foods that support the planet, and the people on our planet, is quite easy. Oh and a nectarine cake would be delicious.

  • I just wanted to point out that it's more natural and (I think) in Tay's interest to use vanilla extract, rather than vanilla essence. Vanilla extract is the juices from the natural product, while the essence is a chemical replica :)

    Great recipe btw :)

  • I. hate. tay.

Maybe not him, just his shitty songs. Thumb me down, I don't care, I don't like him.

  • "Chocolate train!"

  • I would have done a chocolate rice crispie treat type thing. Rice is gluten-free, and you can mix and match different other add-ins, including extra chocolate chips.

  • Caloric restriction? What an idiot. That's what you do when you are on a diet.

  • @tchunu Or you're eating healthy on a day to day basis and aren't okay with the fact that Americans consume more than 1000 excess calories each day

  • @thePirateQueenKt I don't consume more than 1000 excess calories a day. I'm quite skinny actually.

  • @tchunu Well congratulations on your metabolism

  • @thePirateQueenKt Nothing about my metabolism, I just don't eat too much...

  • @tchunu No it's what most people are supposed to do everyday. It's common sense to restrict your calorie intake to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

  • I don't see what's the problem.. i like tay.

  • @florncelovme haha you funny because I've seen 3 hatted chefs plate up something like that oh a 3 hatted chef usely works in a 2 to 5 mishlen star rated restaurant. So quit you whining.

  • i love sorted. <3

  • cool... :D

  • You can tell they're trying really hard not to laugh when Tay Zonday is talking.

  • Dates, cocoa, and walnuts. Blend in a food processor. Shape into brownie size pieces. Sorted.

  • is polenta the same as millet?

  • @ichigoXicecream no, but you can use millet (it's healthier)! Polenta's just cornmeal; the Italian word of course sounds more expensive, but get organic cornmeal for 80c/lb (US cost) *or* find a Jewish market and millet usually abounds(quinoa,farro<-myfave,&steel cut oats too); it's also, of course, at fancy organic-everything stores in bulk bins. :) Anyway, for what they did, it's just yellow cornmeal boiled into, well, mush, just like "cream of wheat" and other porridge type foods.

  • shut the fuck up tay

  • @florencelovme

    DONT JUDGE

    THESE GUYS ARE AMAZING :)

  • is that guy done?

  • fair trade cacow

  • you served it on a chopping board? thats not presentable.

  • Comment removed

  • shut uuup!!! youre givin the chef a headache lol!

  • vaniller. hehe. :3

  • Sometimes living in the U.S. frustrates me because the whole rest of the world uses liters, grams, and Celsius and we have cups, ounces, and Fahrenheit.

  • @DragonRider22 what truly sucks is ounces (weight) versus ounces (volume). THAT drives me BONKERS. The rest I can forgive&convert. Some imports forget that little word "fluid" or worse they'll put net WEIGHT then put the volume. Not really Asia's fault that the US hasn't actually put into place the metric system promised what year?... & it's entirely the US' fault a stupid rocket blew the fuck up because international measurements differed (can't recall the year anymore but I still steam a bit)

  • do you think you can do a sweet for diabetics? my grandpa is, and he really loves sweet things, but the sweets you can get for diabetics are...discusting. help please?

  • I tried to make these with a couple of friends on Friday and we utterly failed. I think it was my attempt at translating ml's, grams, and Celcius' into cups, ounces, and Fahrenheits that did us in :P But I am happy we tried!

  • i'm normally not a fan of polenta... but they look pretty good!

  • OHMIGOD YOU GOT THAT HONEY FROM LIDL!

  • MAKE BUBBLE AND SQUEAK

  • fair trade CACAO!

  • Comment removed

  • @sortedfood are there any substitutions you can make for the dairy? I'm lactose and gluten intolerant, so this recipe ALMOST meets my requirements! Also, instead of using a chocolate bar, can you use cacao or cocoa powder instead?

  • @imXsoXnotXscene You could probably use Soya Milk as a replacement, I'm not sure how that would work, but you could always try. And if your worried about dairy in the the chocolate, if you use 70% cocoa, it should not contain any milk, mainly just cocoa, cocoa butter and sugar... hope this helps :)

  • Yeah, if this were dairy free it'd be perfect as my relatives are coeliac and can't eat dairy - apart from that, AWESOME

  • @MichaelHowrie Tay Zonday mentioned nothing about milk. He only mentioned coeliac disease.

  • mike is a nice eye candy..don't judge me!

  • @africanbeauty113 will i telly you why im going to judge you??? he is MINE!! lmao jk!! XD he is quite cute tho...

  • I want to make out with the chef...

  • tay zonday is a freak

  • I love Mexican inspired dishes!

  • I nearly burst out laughing when you poured milk in right at the start. A lot of my family can't have dairy, so with the lengthy preface of this being suitable for basically all dietary requirements, it seemed hilarious that you would (for some people) spoil the recipe with milk. Something that not many people use as a milk substitute that I think would be perfect for this recipe is hazelnut milk. It's brilliant. Another great vid though, I'll have to try this myself sometime!

  • 1min 21 secs - how long TayZonday spoke

  • It's almost as if the request was longer than the actual cooking part..lol

  • hey guys, wondering if you could do a vegan sweet?? Liiiike, something really yummy. Christmas is coming up, and I'm fairly poor this year, and I have lots of vegan friends. So I thought I'd make something really yummy to give to them instead of buying presents.

    Thanks guys!!

  • I made this today, and I thought it was pretty good for a gluten-free dessert. I appreciate the fact that there's no refined sugar in the recipe (I feel that many desserts are overly sweet, anyways). A fine request, Tay Zonday. I thought you were articulate and informative in your video. I am also a big supporter of natural sugar, portion control, and fair trade foods. Well done, guys!

  • I made this. I'll be honest it was f*cking gross.

  • @thefreymeister

    ... I'm not sure.

  • Besides the fact that I don't like Chocolate Rain at all, he has a lot of expectations on what food is supposed to be like. After about 30 seconds it just got really annoying.

But the dish looked awesome! I'm definitely gonna try that!

  • I made these and can report that they are AMAZING. Delicious. I have to ration myself or I would have eaten them in one sitting. And they were a piece of cake (fnar) to make, which is a nice change for gluten-free baking. Thanks guys!

  • Tay Zonday, I don't even know who you are but you are REALLY annoying. Lower your standards, my god.

  • @MissiCupcake553

it's 2011; how on earth do you not know who Tay Zonday is?

  • Oh My Goodness!! Love this Idea! I have a a few cousins that have many different dietary requirements so my grandmother has a Massive pantry to suit everyone. I have to give her this recipe. Thanks guys!!

  • picky much

  • the broadcast and your reaction was hilarious!

  • My mother is adjusting to having to eat gluten-free products because she has RA and she's always on the lookout for recipes! Could you make more gluten-free foods? Preferably low in sugar? (And for added complication, less than 4g of animal protein because anything over that causes her to have a reaction).

  • Chocolate train, LOL

  • I wish I could cook and bake like you guys ):

haha anyways, can you guys please show us how to make "cakepops" please? they're just little balls of cake.. in lollipop form :p

  • Just buy a snickers

  • *WAKE UP PEOPLE* In the US tap water falls under the EPAs mandate whereas bottled water, being classified as a food, falls under the authority of the Food & Drug Administration which has weak regulations. Drinking bottled water means that the company supplying that water has less regulation and the ability to cut corners. *WAKE UP PEOPLE* Visit my channel

  • @thebestalkalinewater I'll stay asleep thank you very much

  • Interesting, never thought of using polenta in a sweet food... great video. :)

  • i had sex last night, it was good.

  • Wow, somebody watched Food Inc.

  • Fuck this cunt is picky

  • I thought the key ingredient for chocolate brownies is CHOCOLATE RAIN.

  • It takes 3 guys to make this? Chef John could do it with his hands tied behind his back....

  • I have a friend who can't eat gluten or dairy OR refined sugar, so these seem the perfect birthday present to make her (substituting almond milk of course) :D

  • @snowgrett14 How does she survive? Photosynthesis? o.O

  • @syn010110 Well, she IS a sunflower, so yes! :D Nah... she's just allergic/intolerant of many things. And she's a vegetarian on top of that :P Crazy!

  • @syn010110 best reply ever :L:L

  • Where's Chef John?

  • how would you describe the texture of the cake?

  • @hitherefriendly crumbly and brownie like on the outside with a softer, almost mousse-like, middle.

  • Comment removed

  • Doesn't look good, and btw organic food isn't better. Those straw berries looks good though.

  • @Sameboylol I'd assume for American's organic food would be a lot better because they put all kinds of chemicals in their fruit and veg to make them larger and have longer shelf life.

  • does tay zonday work in radio? he has the voice for it.

  • Pinkie Pie?

  • I'm allergic to chocolate...my dad is allergic to wheat..my mom is allergic to milk.

Lets just say brownies don't get eaten around here very often, but though i won't be able to eat them , if i use lactose free milk and cream and i think i will make these for them (my parents.) They look amazing!!

  • I feel sorry for the ones that get the job of whisking or beating!

  • @xxrock625 yeah really haha

  • I laugh so much while watching Tay's order.

  • Ben should be a judge on 'The great British Bake-off'

  • can u make dessert like cake or cookies without using eggs? because i really want to make sweets for a friend who is allergic to eggs.

  • my friend has coeliac disease

  • -3!!

  • Can Polenta be replaced with Corn Flour / Meal? I can't seem to find Polenta in my local supermarket :< Please help!!

  • @Tyson909 It's sometimes labelled as corn grits too. I think the flour or meal wouldn't quite work due to the difference in texture/consistency. Hope that helps!

  • ... Jerk...

  • @sortedfood Is there any ingredients which can replace the polenta here If I dont have any dietary requirements??

    thanks=)

  • @kevinpigpigpig If you're lucky enough not to be restricted by dietary requirements then I think I'd suggest our 'Chocolate brownies - SORTED" A more traditional brownie mixture and very indulgent.

  • Also people are environment conscious (shouldn't we all) but they prefer if all the products were from local produce that doesn't effect the environment as much as an airoplane from across the world :)

  • Was I the only person that found Tay very obnoxious :/

  • @Cryptic696 it was a joke

  • You can tell that while Tay Zonday was saying all that stuff they were trying so hard not to laugh.

  • CHOCOLATE RAINNNNNNNNNN!

  • Hi Ben, have you made any desserts sweetened exclusively with Stevia?

  • lol chocolate train, nice vid, not particularly useful to me, but always nice to see stuff like this

  • A gluten-free, totally vegan dinner and dessert? I'd like to cook something for my one year anniversary, I'm a vegan and my husband's gluten intolerant.

  • can you guys please make some home smoked salmon?

  • "chocolate train"

    wow

    good one

  • GOD JESUS IT'S HIM

  • Can you do some sweet treats without eggs please? My sister doesn't eat eggs, and she can never find cakes!

  • Reduced cashew cream (cashews soaked in water then blended) would make it good for lactose intolerant folks. Please made some good dishes for Vegans <3

  • Can I substitute soy milk instead of using milk?? A lot of my friend's are lactose intolerant :(

  • I seriously adore you lot right now. Achievable GF baking! It's a miracle!

    <3 <3

  • I just want you to say, I LOVE the gluten free ideas! This is definatley ideal for me, so could you do some more of those? Pleeease? <3 Love you guys!

  • THE GUY IS USING BIGGY WORDS. IT IS CONFUZZLING ME!!!!!! >__<

  • i think that you should have added the egg white into the polenta in two to three portions because if you add it all at once, the foam can break and it could separate.

  • what camera do you use?

  • thumbs up if you zoned out before he was finished talking LOL

  • Before my Aunty couldn't have gluten, we used to bake cakes - we haven't baked anything since so I think this would be a good recipe to try out with her so we can go back to the kitchen ^_^

  • something sweet and bright that kids will eat, that I can cook with my little cousins - but one can't have gluten and the other doesn't like chocolate! any suggestions??

  • It'd be cool if you guys could do a vegan desert or meal. :)

I used to be Vegan and it was very difficult to eat a variety of dishes that weren't boring. It would also be a wonderfully healthy dish for your subscribers to try out. :)

  • Did the first 1:30 minutes of this video go right over anyone else's head?

  • that start segment when the guy was giving a lecture was awesomely funny =)

  • Jamie got a break from his whisking this week :)

  • Hmm this seems nice... I wonder if it works the same with other kinds of milk besides cow's... like, coconut milk, soy milk...

  • @farossirock Coconut milk would give it a strong flavour, but could be super delicious! You could also try it with hazelnut or almond milk too.

  • @widowspider I see... can't wait to try it! Thanks!

  • To all you food Lovers I would personally recommend... EpicMealTime

  • Ben is really good looking :)

  • Sorted Food inspired me to do hospitality for a GCSE, and I can use some of these dishes for my practical as well.

    (:

  • To those wanting to cut back on their use of [cane] sugar, Stevia is also a good alternative. It's just another plant sugar that has no calories and little to no effect on blood sugar. The aftertaste reminds me of something similiar to Splenda, but at least in baking using half Stevia and half of your other chosen sweetener it's not noticible at all and a lot better for you, which is how I usually use it.

  • Could you guys do Crispy Duck Pancakes?! x

  • Anything made with fruit sugar or agave would be awesome! I stopped eating refined sugars 9 months ago and lost 18 pounds in 3 months! Sugar really is terrible for you and causes you to over eat. Any deserts without refined sugar would be AMAZING!! So happy you guys did this recipe!! :D

  • @yourenot sorry if this is annoying but how do you know if something has refined sugar?

sounds like something i might try :)

  • Chocolate Train!

  • ****I would love to see you guys cook a dish using CACTUS!****

  • I read it as chocolate placenta. I then HAD to watch this just to check you weren't cooking placenta XD

  • i tryed making thoes cuz my dads all organic n homedone like stuff (like we have chickend n a garden n stuff like that) n ya not a good idea do use hand stone grounded cornmeal...its cruchy in all the wrong places lol

  • that is shoking. and so doable! thanks :)!

  • I have a lovely dairy requirement idea for you... chicken egg free cake :D

  • Where the hell is barrrryyyy

  • Chocolate Train! <3

  • one of my friends is vegan and lactose intolerant. Any ideas for a sweet treat Ben?

  • @rosie4queen

    flour cookie

its a special turkish dessert made from flour and sugar. no dough thus no use of milk or eggs

search "un kurabiyesi" and google translate the recipe if u cant find the recipe in english

  • some lunch dishes that is easy to make with just a few ingredients you normally have at home.:)

  • holyshit, thats a long ass speech.

  • Well done guys you've got featured

  • hhahahahah, that chocolate train part got me. :) can't wait to try this tomorrow. 8)

  • Wait did he just flaten the chocolate Polenta with the spoon he used to taste at 4:28 ?

  • @Thtyler It's fine... we're all good friends!

  • @Thtyler Yeah, but they also baked it to a high temperature.

  • @Thtyler there were actually 2 spoons on the table, so they weren't really the same spoon:O ♥

  • @Thtyler Even if he did, any contaminations would be already dead from the oven.

  • Brilliant!

  • I'm a vegan diabetic coeliac (not out of choice I might add, I've just got a rubbish digestive system). Any sweet recipe of something that's 100% not bad for me would be welcome!
