This phone is crap. There are almost no apps available because of its OS. When you slide through your photos, the screen does not react immediately, horrible. Additionaly, when I unboxed the phone, it had serious technical issues such as defect speaker and GPS which they could fix after the third service!!! I sent a complaint letter, Samsung never replied. The phone is bad, Samsung's Technical Service and Customer Care is bad, everythins is just bad that is in any relation to this phone.

I went and checked out this phone at the bell store here in Edmonton, Canada. It doesn't scroll, or open and close anywhere near as quickly as it does on yuotube clips I've seen. I'm very disappointed in it. Back to considering an iphone or waiting for it to come with and led display

Just take out the touchwiz and put spb shell on this thing. Works like a charm. And he probably still has the processor at the default "medium" speed, so just turn it up. I have this phone and I don't regret buying it, cuz it's awesome.

depends what you mean by best! The Jet is a feature phone... only has Touch Wiz and Omnia II is a windows mobile device (smart phone)... Omnia II has more possibilities than Jet but Jet will probably be cheaper... and is smaller in size.

Call recording is no longer an included feature in newer phones as it is legal to record conversation without both parties' consent. At least in majority of the US states. I am sure you can find a program that does that if you google'd it a little bit.

A) You can change the Samsung Omnia 2's CPU performance, and default is auto as opposed to high.

B) The samsung jet has similar capabilities to the above and is definitely faster than the iphone. The iphone is one of the laggiest touchscreens!

No, iPhone is known for the good and non lagging touchscreen. If you think iPhone are laggy, then you won't find any smartphone you gonna like. The closest phone to iPhone quality is Google/HTC phones that use android. Android smartphones are pretty fast, smooth menu browsing, but not so smooth internet browsing. Have you really tried the new iPhone 3GS?

I wasn't talking about smartphones specifically - especially by including the jet (which is not a smartphone). But yes I have, my brother recently got the 3gs upgrading from a 3g and although its noticeably quicker than the standard 3g, it has already started to slow down.

I agree. I like the iphone, I dislike the software that it uses though. and I'm on verizon. It may very depending on where u are in the US but in my area, I never get a dropped phone call with verizon. and I have with EVERYONE else. however, the phone that gets be best response (closest to the iphone) was the LG dare. the only downside to the LG is that it's not a true smartphone. which is probably why the touch screan features are so smooth and responsive.
