i hear people about technoloy being able to take things further. But theres just something about records in a battle that cant be replaced. Not just playing the record, but having to FIND that perfect one to make your set. physically CHANGING a record in/out under pressure. It just took a lot more dedication in the past. This mix is cool n clean. But do it with wax and you will get 1000X more respect.
@miek127 I feel on that changint the record under presure...I mostly grew with the new technoogy..When I startted it was just basic cd players with no strach effect..But about four years ago I decided to get some turntables and laptops and seratos was alot of money and wasnt in my buget at the time so I said I want to learn to use turntables. So i went out and startted buying records..By doing that I feel it made me become the best I can be...
Why is everyone bitching about technology in dj sets? One of the main ideals of Djing is being able to innovate and create different sounds that technology makes possible in new ways
Fuck that, nothing wrong with technology. Been rocking since technic slb1's and sl 2000's all the way to 1200 and 1210's, Still big respect for NS7, All those bitchingabout technology, throw away your flat screens, And all other modern improvements! Oh, and by the way bro, You destroyed that shit. Good job!

this man is a good friend of mine and has world titles under his belt...it's not the technology that does the work but it's his hands and skill that make it sound too perfect...catch you at the raaka iriscience gig tonight uso...HTown..VMT,VILLIANS.
i know that with time comes technology, but the dope part of battling was - what crazy records will this d.j. use in his set??!!! Serato killed the creativity in the art of battlling :( I understand it is getting harder to find new tunes on vinyl, but that is were the individual d.j. should be creative and come up with a wicked fresh routine from scratch(no pun intended) Serato has made it toooo easy for any fool to put together a routine and just push play.
CodeOrDie i can dig it! i mean i like the routine don't get me wrong...BUT...a serato routine...call me old fashion but i started djing in 94' and i'm glad i battled and djing with actual records! RIP real dj battles
@INTshyt I hear you man! FUCK serato! its all about putting time in, finding your loops, taping them up, having a stack of records next to your decks whipping them off and on. DJing it too easy these days. Any preppy hipster can get into it. It used to take time (and a small fortune) to build your record collection, time to max out your skills. Now its download and boom, done. no effort. But big up to DJ impact, this was cool
@CodeOrDie I hear you man! all sounds the same, bit of scratching, bit of juggling... well done! game over. Wheres the mad remixs? Actual Juggling (dj skully) haha? even cheesy shit like body tricks...
I used to mash up a mint mix of Chubby Checker "twist again" with Shy FX "shake your body" dancefloor went off! you dont see random shit anymore.... just boring loops. bring back the 90's creativity
@CodeOrDie In what way is this routine not creative and musical? If you new anything you could see the 90s influence in some of his patterns.IT IS NOT 96 anymore.Technology is not the problem.Technology has in fact driven this artform from its inception. the hamster switch, advancements in fader technology the qfo etc have allowed people to get more creative.why dont you direct your ignorance elsewhere instead of at someone who embodies what the 90s were all about.aggresive technical batlle djing
@stabbymcgee33 I agree with ya. I worked for a guy that owns one of the largest privately owned companies in NZ dude is a multi multi millionaire .. and while all his competition were complaining about how online technology was stealing alot of business.. he said fuck it technology isn't going away lets embrace it and tweak OUR business... and boom he is the no.1 in terms of market share in travel and tourism in nz, worth a personal 130mil. Same with DJs.. gotta embrace technology
very very nice dj

Technology kills creativity and musicality. It's sad to see it, all routines are identical. Where routines are 90s?
