1935 Version of this tale is a far more sophisticated and artistic movie with grander sets and more detailed story line. This movie was just made to showcase the pinup girls.
LoL that was priceless I wonder what his thought was when he read the script part that said and Peter will then be surrounded by sexy beautiful belly dancers, and proceed to dance with them [Oh Yeah!]
I think Ursula Undress (Oop! Ursula Andress!) was beautiful (I don't know how she looks now), and I think the movie was great. I'd watch this movie over and over again and never get tired. Make me wants to go to that frame and experience it all!
Oh God what a waste. I just red H.Rider Haggard's book few weeks back and was so facsineted. A very very interesting storyline. Decidet to watch movie as well. A complete disaster. How can someone be allowed to abuse such beautiful work of litreture? Ursula Andress beautifull? R u crazy? The whole cast was misplaced. Neither of them could do justice to the characters nor they had charm. Direction was very childish, a typical hollywood jock.
@saishaa1 First of all, Ursula Andress WAS beautiful....that is simply a fact and not open to question. Of course, you may be the type that likes hairy, fat women. Secondly, I assume that you're calling the director of this version a "typical Hollywood jock"....your writing is simply to bad to know for sure. If that is the case, then you probably should be aware that neither the director, Robert Day, nor the film had anything to do with Hollywood. Btw, spelling and punctuation are not optional.
Thanks for uploading. That man at 9:43 looks like Scaramanga.

@swedengrap I think she is one of the three club dancers (as on the final scene of the movie, the list of names appears)

Peter Cushing dancing awkwardly with Arab dancing girls is worth the price of admission alone.

One of my favorite books and adventures ever, one of the weirest, creepiest and dreamlike stories ever. Only Hammer could do it justice.
You know "She" was Freud's favorite novel?

Picture's a bit squashed from the sides. It's wider screen than this. But thanks. I never noticed these uploads before.

Hilarious representation of arab/muslim culture in 1918!
Hurray for hollywood...

Its a Hammer film, which makes it British.

@bluezappy Well I guess today’s representation is a little less sensuous and glamorous and a little more… explosive.
