I received shaktipat supposedly through one of those live worldwide closed circuit broadcast weekends in 1997 with Gurumayi and I feel something happening but I was having a lot of personal problems (including psychic attacks and mental illness) and it did not help me much for long -- in fact I had a breakdown from too much energy coning through me. I never followed up up with Siddha Yoga again although I have nothing against it on principle and I have thought of going back.
@Christo355 I meant to say that the psychic and mental problems had to do with involvements in other things that had nothing to do with Siddha Yoga. and that I had a "melt-down" from mixing too many things. I wonder if they could still help me -- I watched a few videos and I was impressed. However the organization is not the same, of course, as the old days with Muktananda. Those who knew him were fortunate.
I had this experience , it saved me .
