First off this so ol and I think both bands are cool with each other. I love KoRn but never have really listened to SlipKnot. At first sight I see a band that like to talk shit. Masks make them look like Death Metal but they're not obviously, have too many guitars/bass, have a name with similar font, emerged after KoRn and say fuck too much for no reason. I'd have to listen to lots of their songs+research to actually make up my mind.
I can't wait to see the next slipknot album, cause actually i'm so disapointed about their last. ( no coherence betwin songs, chorus really gay, etc..no innovation like on vol.3)
I don't think any album of Korn can beat Slipknot Self Titled, but what I like with Korn is that they are always innovating and i love all of their albums, equally Life is peachy, Issue or Untiled.

@06jossmii This looks like it was in support of Slipknot's Iowa which came out in 2001. Back then Slipknot wasn't the mainstream band they are now. Also David was still the drummer for KoRn at the time and remained their drummer for like the next 4-5 years. So I could definitely understand Corey's point of view seeing as back when this vid was made, Slipknot was still heavy, hadn't been seen w/o their masks yet, and hadn't sold out.

@06jossmii This looks like it was in support of Slipknot's Iowa which came out in 2001. Back then Slipknot wasn't the mainstream band they are now. Also David was still the drummer for KoRn at the time and remained their drummer for like the next 4-5 years. So I could definitely understand Corey's point of view seeing as back when this vid was made, Slipknot was still heavy, hadn't been seen w/o their masks yet, and hadn't sold out.

So afterwards the ad than started to make its way into crap like Teen People so Slipknot wanted to point this out everyone. He (Corey Taylor) talks about this in an in-store appearance (you can find it here on youtube) as it is what led to the imfamous Limp Bizkit fued.
