  • i love how u didnt even straighten ur hair

  • @mischerokee13 thanks it was a cardboard background:)

  • I jsut found your channel and I looove your vids! I went natural 4 years ago and bc my grows so quick the perm has been gone for 2 years. My hair is combo my black/hispanic and its not so much curly more wavy so the styles that work on more textured hair don't work for me. Pretty much my curls won't lock. I'm gonna try your defining method bc I have been flat-ironing my hair due to lack of natural styling skills lol!

  • WOW! You are really an inspiration to me! I've been wanting to try some natural hair styles lately, but I haven't really liked the results I'm getting. My natural hair is very very kinky and I'm not blessed to have beautiful loose curls like you, so I've been thinking of trying different braid outs and twist out on my blown out hair. will this work to get the results I'm looking for?

  • how did you get rid of your relaxer?

  • WOW! You talk soooooooooo fast I couldn't understand most of what you said lol

  • I wanted to say thank you for your blog and youtube videos...I am so tired of my hair issues!! it seems like I cant do anything with it when I try and go natural and i cant do anything with it permed but you do encourage healthy hair and have some very good ideas (the bonnet trick works thanks). but I am this close to cutting it all off and starting over!

  • i have straightened my hair all my life, and i have been natural all my life OF COURSE...but my curls are exactly the same as they were when i was a little girl. Itys all about a good deep conditioner and blacl hair needs to be oiled.

  • "Why do you want to straighten your hair?" is a stupid question. Because you want to!!! Not everybody likes to look the same EVERY SINGLE day... That's like asking why do you want to wear a skirt today and pants tomoro... smh

  • when you went natural did you have to chop of your relaxed hair? Is there another solution such as keeping it in braids and letting the relaxer grow out

  • @justice15kids There is such a thing as transitioning without doing a "big chop" right away. You can use protective styling (braids, twists, buns/updos, etc.) to preserve and maintain growth--keep it healthy by taking your vitamins, moisturizing & deep conditioning. You can just get regular trims or on an as-needed basis until the relaxed hair is completely removed. I am almost a year into my transition, and my hair is about half and half now after trimming some of my relaxed hair. Good luck!

  • Your curls are so beautiful! I was using a crazy amount of setting lotion by Ic antasia & ollywood beauty olive oil for the curly look this summer. How is it possible to lose your curl pattern? I never heard of that before. ...

My hair is relaxed but I am a wash and wear type when I am very busy. That's why I love the curly look. One problem is that every 2 days or so, the curls look a little smooshed & old from sleep... Can you also do a video on HAIR CUTS to make naturals look cute?

  • So happy I found this channel. I also straighten my natural (every now and then) and my natural friends criticize me for! however I am noticing that straightening natural hair is not as deep as people make it seem. Some women do and some don't....

  • I agree with that. I like the choices too. At times I did feel that I was straightning far too often, and it was affecting my hair growth and condition.

  • the pony tail in the front makes you look very child-like, but your curls are pretty

  • Thanks for the conditioner tip, I've been looking for a moisturizing leave in conditioner. I use the olive oil products and my hair turns out really well. I've stopped using heat on my hair, although I am very tempted to start back blow drying my hair. If you have anymore hair styling ideas please share. Thanks for the uploads.

  • Your hair is looking beautiful.

  • @KLT828 thank you.... :)

  • I'm with you! It's all about moderation. People forget that you can get damage if you don't moisturize and condition your properly whether you straighten or not. I hate to feel limited to anything. Whether it's education, skill, hair, clothes.

  • Hey Toy! Thanks for doing a response. It was very informative and it did shed some light on the straightening topic for me. I'm still a big scary cat though, so I don't think I'll be straightening my own hair. Someone commented on my vid that I was still early in my journey and that I may feel differently down the road. For now though I'm content with my kinky curlies. :) Looking forward to your upcoming vids.

  • Love your eyebrows !

Have you ever tried using the coconut-lime relaxer. It is all-natural. It would not make your hair bone straight but will slightly relax the kinks in black or other frizzy hair types.

We just posted a video. So check it out and let us know your results.

  • Hey girl. Thanks for the vid.

  • Thanks for sharing what works for you. I like seeing things like that.I like when others share what works for him or her as opposed to saying why he or she doesn't like the method some one else chose.

  • make up looks great girl

  • What a good mommy! :)

  • i tried aphogee it didn't do anything for my hair right now i can't found anything for my extremely damaged hair about to cut it all off

  • I was wondering what happened to you but I see the kiddos are the reason :D lol

Thank you for being of such help so far in my hair journey!

  • I think that people get heat damage because they think that it takes so much heat to get their hair straight. My hair is very similar to yours but mostly coils (at least from how it looks). Some textures take more work. I think that is why you see more people flat ironing than others.

  • @Tellylove12 yes, exactly.

  • Thnak you for this vid! My husband was mad at me for giving away my fhi flat iron. It had a set temp setting, and i need to get the fhi platform that has a temp setting. Now that im natural, i don't want to ruin my curl pattern. He didn't seem to understand. I use a fhi platform and fhi blow dryer (ceramic tourmaline) and one n only argan oil (from sallys) aphogee, green tea & provitamin leave in, as well as doing my steam treatmnets twice per mth w/ my steamer. and that helps w/ damage. THANKS!

  • @sexxitrice81 men never understand lol.... my husband would have been mad too.

  • Question?? My daugter has been natural for 4 years and her hair is not really growing...I am learning more about retaining her length but I need help on the times she would like it straight. Her hair puffs litterally minutes after getting straight...I have had professionals as well as myself straighten it, I even went back to the stove and pressed it...puff! LOL, her hair is 4a andsome parts 3c, do you have any suggestions/ Thanks you!

  • @ldpd2009 My hair is the same way. The last time it was straightened it got REALLY straight, but now some parts of it are wavy. So I don't know what to do.

  • @Muslimah33 I know what you mean. I am washing my daughters hair now and I am not even going to attempt to straighten it this time. I am going to do the individual braids I saw from seemyhealthyhair. I also love her veg glycerin mix, her hair and my new growth love it!

  • My hair does not stay straight which is why I don't do it(I would straighten it more if the style would last). Going natural is versitle.

  • Will you please consider doing a tutorial on how to blowdry without the comb attachment? I just purchased a hair dryer with the concentrator. I haven't used it yet because I am unsure about it. Thanks in advance.

  • your curls r off tha hook girl they look nice...i cant wait to transition and get where ur at...keep up tha great work

  • @mzdivalicious20 thanks.....how long have you been transitioning? I hope it's going well for you.

  • I just had my hair straightened about a month ago. Like really straight and now some of my hair is wavy.

  • @Muslimah33 did they use a heat protectant?

  • @seemyhealthyhair She used a serum, but not a lot and not a thicker heat protectant.

  • well said

  • i have no idea what youtuber u r talking about may u provide a link pls.

  • @misstiffy25 I just added it above...

  • Thanks for the video....I'm gonna try to straighten my hair this winter...I will use your suggestions. Thanks!

  • @IMINTOMAKEUPNOW I'm glad I could help :)
