tell me something, de i need to keep the module (roland or yamaha brain) with me AS WELL AS a laptop with s.p on it ? or do i not need the module ? because it seems like quite a waste having an expensive module just sitting there doing nothing, i could sell it on ebay ! plz answer
Hey nice drumming man, and yes i agree electronic kits are the best invention for more playing (i play at midnight often) i noticed in your details that u use FL studio for recording. could you tell me how u do it? i have tried midi and headphone jack but i cant get it to work!! so frustrating, i have checked out vids on here to see how but it just wont show up for me. im using a dtxpress iv special which should have everything your roland has
Dude can u explain how it works. Can u just plug ur kit to the computer, open superior drummer and start playing. Is the process different I'd you just want to practice by urself without recording. Wat is the purpose of fl studio? Can u still use SD play w/o recording if u don't have anything like fl studio or any saw
Right at about 20 seconds your hi-hat cuts out for some reason. It's things like this that make me think twice about buying an electronic kit.... HI hats are so hard to make sound real.
@fourwallblkmail Hi, i like how your kit works with superior 2, could you tell me your settings on S2.0 and on TD-12 please? Or could you post a link with some of your .s20 project. I have a lot of troubles with my VH-11 in superior drummer.
@jaycroft97 not to mention no replacing skins or sticks, hihat sounds fine to me, he used the pedal, so much easier to record too if you use superior drummer VST or something.
@jaycroft97 I know the software very good, the hihat cuts out because the pedal is pressed completly down (at least the software got that signal) if you hear it in a good audioquality it sounds quite real ;)
@jaycroft97 a Eletrionic drum kit is very nice but you need to get a program like steven slate drums, or like superior drummer or AD. The best combo would be steven slate drums (snare, kick, toms) and superior drummers cymbals. Ive heard alot that superior drummer is the best but some ppl like AD. Steven slate is really good.
@jaycroft97 I figure for practicing or recording some ideas, it doesn't matter much about something cutting out, but I think I'd prefer a hybrid set with real cymbals. Wonder what the neighbours think when they don't hear anything except cymbals... "car crash?" "the corrugated metal roof coming off the shed?"

No. They don't. You must have never used Superior Drummer. So many more mic options.

Very nice - all around. Good kit sound and playing. Pretty good video quality for a flip camera.

Your kit sounds great. Nice playing.
I also have SD2. The best cymbals I have heard yet are from Ocean Way Drums!!

I don't think the hi-hat cuts out - but I do agree that cymbals in general are the weakest part of electronic kits.
However, from a volume standpoint I couldn't be happier. I don't worry about annoying the neighbors and I can play 24 hours a day.

@jaycroft97 i think the hi-hat sounds great. e drums have bigger problems with the sound of crashs
