  • Pure musical bliss.

  • This haunting version is something that I've been looking for like forever. The truth is, I listened to this over and over when I was writing a sad love story some time back. So now as I listen back to this, it reminded me of all the hours I sat in front of my laptop - ideas as well as tears flowing like river as I thrashed out my story - with this piece as background. Well, the manuscript is completed now, but sad to say in a state of limbo. Not sure if it will ever see the light of day. Sob.

  • Why is every version of this different? Is this the real movie one?

  • what a schlockmeister!

  • I ONCE KNEW A N**** WHO'S REAL NAME WAS WILLIAM... haha

  • IMMORTAL TECHNIQUE

    =D

  • i like this man R.I.P mr.Mancini

  • this is a different version... there is another version by Henry Mancini... it was a single version that was played on radio, it had bigger orchestra.

  • I love this beautiful instrumental music. :) It takes you to a new place. :)

  • my old old memory..

it's the music of the music box which a grandpa had...

    love this music...

  • VERY ROMANTIC

  • LINDO, BONITÃO.

  • luv it thx

  • if we want to get picky, immortal technique really isn't that good (i'm a fan) of a rapper and andy williams - love story is > this

  • Francis Lai wrote and arranged the original version. Let's give recognition where it is deserved.

  • oh, i'm aware, i was just making a factoid in satirical ignorance that andy williams' version is the best.

  • When I was a kid, this music kept playing from a music box. And it kind of haunted me forever cuz I lost the music box and never found out what the song was called and it always played in my head...A random youtube friend sent this to me and said it was amazing and I should listen to it. When this started playing, it's like I relived my childhood all over again, and I was so shocked and happy that I cried. Was this story necessary? No, but I need to express how this song affected me.

  • @morganlove99 Beautiful memory. Beautiful story.

  • @morganlove99 A little brass and glass music box with a dancing lady on my mothers dresser when i was a child. pretty much same story as you. stange huh?

  • @Croshaevn

Mine had a little lady doing the ballet too =) It was beautiful and yes, very strange. But sweet.

  • Well I'll be honest the only way I got here was by Dance With The Devil, But I feel a little disrespecting, But I guess it's not my fault, I obviously live in a hip-hop environment, so their isn't much music like this I would find over the counter, Only on the internet

  • Honestly that is how I got here as well ironically I do not live in a hip-hop environment. Mostly I listen to Rock and Metal but I do like hip-hop and even classical music as well.

  • ahhh same, immortal technique :)

it's ironic how such a dar some can come out of something so beaut

  • just wonderful!! thank u so mutch for this fabulous music

  • this is one of the greatest love songs i always want to hear.keeps me floating!!!.. honey

  • I do not hear love at all...... RAPE

  • Immortal technique is not a bad rapper, but liking him does not make you cool, and you need to learn to respect music like this. Felipe obviously does. This is better than survival of the fittest, and you should recognize music for something more than the fact that someone ripped off the piece for a sample.

  • Love it a lot. Thank you for a masterpiece.

  • aww. I heard this on the kellogs advert.

  • immortal technique

  • I love this song and all of Henry Mancini's music. Thnx for posting. :-))

  • This reminds me of the Canadian dance team that won a silver medal in Utah...their costumes were brown

  • dance with the devil

  • immortal techique is so dope on this track chek it out if u havnt heard "Dance With the devil"

  • That's I learned this song...

  • Henry Mancini there are no words that can decribe this piece of music.... for me ........just beatiful........

  • ...love and peace to all...

but francis lai composed the music to love story...

henry mancini was also an AMAZING composer (around the same time period too) but not the man who scored the lovely, the beautiful love story theme...

tho i can understand the confusion.

  • True, but the version playing above is by Henry Mancini and his orchestra.

  • Yea they sampled this song for Immortal Technique's Dance with the Devil, which was sick!

  • Immortal Technique "Dance with the Devil"

  • yes..technique is the best

  • i first heard it off a song by Immortal Technique called Dance with the Devil

  • Me, too, haha.

  • hahahaah me too, immortal technique is seriously ill

  • sick

  • as did i, my face dropped when my friend was like, listen for the twist in the story at the end, unexpected, twisted, brilliant!

  • my favorite melody.. I first heard it in a Pakistani serial.. then I found out who the original composer was...

Henry Mancini has done a superb job.. I think better than the original..

  • reminds me of my childhood , me gusta mucho

  • Lots and lots try to imitate this but no one ever gets close to the beauty of the song like Mancini. Thank you for posting this!

  • my favorites melody

    Henry mancine is the best
