  • Can some one respond.Hows it steer by remote?

  • thats so unfair!!!!! this year its like five billion more times harder....

  • wow thumbs up if you agree that nocking down a red loop does not mean getting it!

  • you guys are noobs if u think this is 400....

  • A wall fell down at the end due to him grabbing the loop, If that had been at a tournament it would have been the ref grabbing the loop. If the ref grabbed a loop and a wall fell due to him grabbing it, he would just put the wall back up.

    NJ on 400 points

  • your robot does take its time to do its work. Even my group finished in 1min26sec with a solid 390 points(-10 marks was because of a dropped sensor wall)

  • Can you count man?

There wasn't maximum points of 400, as the others (the maximum was 390) - For parking on that circle was jsut 25 points. As you had 365 before it, 365 + 25 = 390, you fool.

Anyway, nice vid :) Like it

  • this isn't 400 pts; nog al the walls ar standing/laying down!

  • @maxillusion123 what do you mean? :S

  • it isnt allowed in the us, we can only have sensors i belive, in the us our team vould have gone to the nationals but we didnt have the money, and we were so suprised because it was our first year, we got 3 trophys but no videos so yea i love your robot!

  • 390 not 400, you picked up the orange one before the red one. srry

  • @103clark You're right but I think it doesn't matter. The referees wouldn't subtract points for this :)

  • my teams robot only got 255 point and came in 4th but we still got the champions award. ;)

  • @scannie128 cool :D

  • How long did it take you to build the robot?

  • I think 4 weeks or so ... ;-)

  • what is supporting the nxt?

  • can you give me the design for your robot :D =)

  • 1 wall was down 390 points!!

  • You're right but the wall was overthrown by myself while I tried to get the loop. The wall wasn't overthrown by the robot.

  • hey your robot is un eligable- in the rules it says if you have three motors- no sensors are allowed- if you have two motors one sesor is allowed- you have three motors AND a sensor therefore your robot is uneligible. it may take some time but we had that too they kicked us out- this year we had too totally reprogram it this you have to turn exactly 4.51742 rotations. thats how presise we were- dont argue with me- i cannot stand arguing- please respond to me what you think, Thanks

  • Thank you for your comment ;-)

In Germany it's allowed to have three motors and you can choose the nuber of the sensors. It can be possible that that is not allowed in the US. I don't know. I think it's more difficult to use only two motors and one sensor or three motors and no sensor, Thanks too ;)

  • U should try rereading the rules! it says you can have 3 motors, 1 touch sensor, 1 ultrasonic sensor, 2 light sensors, 3 rotation sensor minus the number of nxt motors there are. He follows all of those rules, don't believe you when you where kikked out of the terniment, you sure you where at fll

  • in israel youre allowed 3 motors and 4 sensors.

  • We went got second place in the robot part. Our Team Name is SAP Smarty Pants. We won the robot technical trophy or what ever. We got second place with 250 points but we are still working on our robot

  • as mentioned. my robot can do it in 1 minute ane 39 seconds.

  • That's good!

We can do it in 1 minute and 48 seconds with two people at the table.

  • i was wondering for the crash test dummy does he have to be sitting on the robot or can you just like smush him and the other 4 people in a small box ? will that still give us points?

  • yes tha would still count- it counts as long as you have the dummy with you- our team we didnt even think about it until last minute so we just stuffted him in the wires- it worked he didnt fall so he- we stuck with it- so yes it will give you your points

  • I agree with you ! ;)

  • For a second you tricked me with the sensor walls, but then I remembered that they have to only be square to the mat, and not in their boxes;)

  • This is an excellent example of how to film and edit a point scoring run in the FLL. I will show this to my teams.

    GOOD JOB Mindfakers!!!

(I always like the SAP teams)

  • Thank you !!! ;-)

  • i had my competition today (december 12 2009) and we are going to state

  • are you in CA??

  • no, IL

  • did you use the sensors in your program? it seems to me that most of the successful teams use treads and leave out the sensors in their actual programs, but put them on the robot anyway. i'm just interested in how you used the light sensor.

  • Yes we used it in the program.

We used the light sensor to be geared to the black stripes and the white floor. Also we used it for the black / yellow arrowheads.

We thought that the light sensor is the most effective sensor.

Thank you for the question ;-)

  • ah it went over the yellow wall!

we tryed to do that but we were using wheels not treads!

we are so going to do better next year!

  • i had my compitition today!i was transportation station.we won the first award the rising star award!(that is a trophey)we won fourth place in the robot part of the compitition!
