Read the NT carefully, and you will notice that Jesus shows up as the main character in multiple parables. How can that be if the NT is intended as a historical record of the life of Jesus? Lazarus is another character that shows up in both an obvious parable and is treated as historical in other places. Likewise for John the Baptist.

Bible says that Jesus would return before his disciples died. Matt 16v28, Mark 9v1, Mark 13v30, Matt 24v34, Luke 9v27. Anyway if there was a loving, good God everyone would either go to heaven or cease to exist but probably there is no God and everyone will cease to exist. Probably there is no supernatural realm.
