Any jvc hdd camcorder quality is real dire, seriously, stick to tapes.

i have the same one in blue. it says hdd but when i plug it to my laptop then to windows movie maker the pixels come up as 720x480 but when i upload it to youtube it doesn't come up as hd 720 only 480p can you please help me

And PS if you want a HD (1080p) video camera i suggest you dont buy this,and its basically unusable for youtube unless you have Adobe's 90$ editing program that supports a .MOD file,because default and free editing software are to cheap to take a .MOD

.MOD is a varrient of MPG2 but used by JVC.

I have this exact same camera (same model, same color). You can add lenses to it. You may need to get some adapter rings so the lens fits, though (I'm using two at the same time for the bigger/wider lens I've got, and it still looks great).

we have this one. however, my husband does recordings of the music that he does for his DJing projects.

he wants to be able to record what music he is making on his turntables straight from his mixer, not from what comes out from the speakers+you can hear breathing etc

There is no input jack. The only audio you record is from the microphone on the camcorder unfortunately. I usually lay a new track in iMovie with a high quality microphone on videos that require it.

I do have a problem when downloading a recording to the jvd burner. At the end of burning DVD 1, I get the message that it has only completed 98% or either 99% recording. I can not finalize the burn/recording. Do you know why and how I can finalize my project?

From what I remember when I researched this camcorder they are the same camcorder except that the 365 has the larger hard drive and the dock.

Thanks for the input, this is one of my earlier videos and I was still getting the hang of things. I figure a longer review is better when a few hundred dollars on the line but thats me. I don't know about you but a video a few minutes long just doesn't really cover everything that someone would need to know about a device like this. On the camera where the LCD opens push the Select/Play/Rec button and select the video in question. Press the menu button and it should ask you to quit protect. Select yes and you should be ok.

I use the bundled software. I am not sure of another program to convert to .WMV if you want to convert to mpeg I have used MPEG Streamclip and it worked pretty good.

Are you using the bundled software? Try using the PowerCinemaNE that comes with the camcorder.

No, there is no place to hook up external audio, but the mic on it is very good. It is on the front and I sit behind the camera and you can hear me just fine.
