My Rott passed away last year, he was 12 years old, his name was Rock. Rottweilers are the BEST family dogs hands down. They have a wait and see attitude. and they are AMAZING with children. plus they have an crazy 6th sense.You get everything rolled up in one. Protective guardian, silly, and so very funny, loving and extremely loyal, oh, and highly intelligent. I miss my Rock so very much. I still cryto this day, but I must do it in silence..I can't upset my children, or my husband.
I recently adopted a Rottweiler whose name is Echo. She was born in 2003 but she is very beautiful and affectionate for an eight year old lady.
I walk her every time during my day off. At night, i occasionally feed her a steak with gravy when she is behaved. And before going to bed, I stroke her while she lays on my bed as she stares at me with her dark eyes as she lies down to sleep.
Echo isnt just a pet, but a true friend and she'll still be my friend when she draws her final breath and dies.

I am allso an extremly proud owner of a Rottweiler. But due to the sad incidents that have been here in DK, my dog may now suffer because some idiots use this beautiful dog in a wrong way. Junior (my rottie) is more then just a dog to me. He is my friend, My son. And protector of my family. The goverment has issued a "Black list" of dogs that are too dangerous to have. Now they are talking about adding the Rottweiler to that list aswell.

My neighbors always had rots and they mean nasty dogs that always barked and tried to snap their chain (often succeeding) A few years ago my sister had one (3 years old...dog not my sister) and it was the possibly the nicest and most playful dog I have seen. Since then they have become my favorite type of dogs. They are cool looking, cute, loyal, and kid friendly.
My Rottweiler has been gone for a couple years now, but I miss him dearly. He was the gentlest, most intelligent dog I have ever owned. He was loyal, obedient, affectionate, and tender. He would wail when I left the house, and would be there waiting for me when I returned, ready to follow me wherever I went. RIP Mac, and long live this wonderful breed.

rotties are the best dog there is to have in my book. my mother was 7 months pregnant and fell down the stars with her hands full and our boy grizzy caught her and saved my (at that point) unborn brother. on another occasion he saved my brother when he just started walking, he was walking to the stair (concrete steps outside) and just before he fell he grabbed the back of his overalls and put him in the house and blocked the doorway so that he couldn't get out again.

@blair100553 that's just very touching. i just love rotties, they really are misunderstood. they only get vicious and scary when they feel the need to defend their master.. my rottie is very affectionate and close to me and my husband that whenever we go away he's like on a hunger strike. he doesn't eat, drink and whoever is watching him has to pull him out with his whole body just to pee or poop. we treat him like a human, we even talk to him and you'll be surprised how he responds...

We actually adopted ours from an animal shelter and she has been the BEST dog I've ever had. I have 2 children and she is so loving towards them and would protect us in a heartbeat. Rottweilers are an amazing breed, so loyal and lovable. I was so so lucky to had one, he was among me, my family and friends for 14 years, since I was 4, best friend I could ever had, everybody loved him. He just passed away 4 weeks ago and I miss him so much.

i live in australia and have a beautiful 3 and a half year old male in my backyard. He is the most gentle, caring, loving and fun dog ive ever seen. When i walk him, little dogs bark and go crazy but Jackson just sniffs them and says hello. He is my best friend and always manages to make me laugh or put a smile on my face. Just seeing him makes me happy i love him so much :)

Hi I live in Bulgaria and have a rott.. Here the paople are not used to see good behavioured dogs, they usually chain them up in the gardens.... So when recently a bad tempered rott. bit a little girl, people see us out and about react like they have just seen the death. And there are roamers that they are gonna ban the breed.
I have a rottweiler and he is a GREAT dog. The rottweiler breed is a great breed it just depends on the owner. My dog goes with me everywhere. I really cant imagine my life without him in it.
My sister has a Rotti and it's really awesome. He has problems with his legs, so he always leans against us. We're used to it, and we forget that hes leaning on us, so we move, and he almost falls hehe
I have a 2 1/2 yr old rottie! He's awesome and I love him! However he is alot of dog and a rottie is a people dog, unless they can really have a job/ like herding-
I call Marino my hip baby- that tells it all - they are right on their persons hip. I'm 5 foot tall- so that is literal!!! If you can give them a job / i beleive herding is best/ that is what they have been bred to do/ they are amazing at it and it is so natural for them. my boy went to a good friends farm and he herded the goats- to my surprise!!!

Perfection! My Delilah is a Rotti mix. She saves my life on a daily basis. Without her ..... I would *not* be alive. THIS is without question. she is my service dog, my best friend and my companion. I love her. I am grateful that she was born. And angry that some idiot human harmed and abused her before I got her from the shelter. May they go through the same hell and worse that they put my baby girl through.

The only thing bad about a Rottweiler is when they die. There is not a day that goes by i dont think about my buddy. I wont ever have another Rottie, he broke my heart. Look up LOYAL in the dictionary and there is probably a Rottweiler picture there.
I have had 3 Rotts, My youngest one now is just about a year old this month. her name is Bella. Rotts are the best breed of dogs to have and they are truely misunderstood. this is a really great dog but somehow due to some irresponsible owners this breed is been misunderstood i have been working with dogs from past 7 years and i have been hearing from lots of people that rotties are dumb and dangerous but i dont agree with them they are fool who says rotties are bad because they dont know the breed.

My neighbors always had rots and they mean nasty dogs that always barked and tried to snap their chain (often succeeding) A few years ago my sister had one (3 years old...dog not my sister) and it was the possibly the nicest and most playful dog I have seen. Since then they have become my favorite type of dogs. They are cool looking, cute, loyal, and kid friendly.

My Rottweiler has been gone for a couple years now, but I miss him dearly. He was the gentlest, most intelligent dog I have ever owned. He was loyal, obedient, affectionate, and tender. He would wail when I left the house, and would be there waiting for me when I returned, ready to follow me wherever I went. RIP Mac, and long live this wonderful breed.

my dog was under the picnic table, which was full of young children, oldest being maybe 12, when my grandfather came to the table to cut the water mellon with a massive knife, grizzy growled to warn him not to get to close, but my grandfather is hard of hearing, when my grandfather got too close to the table, grizzy jumped out and bit his arm, didnt break skin, just enough to make him drop the knife and walk away, and then grizzy returned to his place under the table, protecting the children.

rotties are the best dog there is to have in my book. my mother was 7 months pregnant and fell down the stars with her hands full and our boy grizzy caught her and saved my (at that point) unborn brother. on another occasion he saved my brother when he just started walking, he was walking to the stair (concrete steps outside) and just before he fell he grabbed the back of his overalls and put him in the house and blocked the doorway so that he couldn't get out again.

@blair100553 that's just very touching. i just love rotties, they really are misunderstood. they only get vicious and scary when they feel the need to defend their master.. my rottie is very affectionate and close to me and my husband that whenever we go away he's like on a hunger strike. he doesn't eat, drink and whoever is watching him has to pull him out with his whole body just to pee or poop. we treat him like a human, we even talk to him and you'll be surprised how he responds...

We actually adopted ours from an animal shelter and she has been the BEST dog I've ever had. I have 2 children and she is so loving towards them and would protect us in a heartbeat. I just wished more people realized they are not a mean breed but a very loving, caring and faithful breed.

Rottweilers are an amazing breed, so loyal and lovable. I was so so lucky to had one, he was among me, my family and friends for 14 years, since I was 4, best friend I could ever had, everybody loved him. He just passed away 4 weeks ago and I miss him so much.

i live in australia and have a beautiful 3 and a half year old male in my backyard. He is the most gentle, caring, loving and fun dog ive ever seen. When i walk him, little dogs bark and go crazy but Jackson just sniffs them and says hello. He is my best friend and always manages to make me laugh or put a smile on my face. Just seeing him makes me happy i love him so much :)

There is nothing misunderstood about rottweilers. Only the few people that understand dogs should own them. You motherfuckers that ruin my breeds name, by mishandling, abusing, poor breeding, and by taking ownership of this supreme battle dog lightly, should be shot. i want to love rottwilers but i was raised with a mom who to this day is ready to die believing they are killers. my uncle has two big rotweilers and the only reason the oldest one would EVER bite you is if you touched her feet (it was dognapped while little and the guy tied a rope around her feet) and even IF you touch her feet she isn't guarenteed to bite you

Hi I live in Bulgaria and have a rott.. Here the paople are not used to see good behavioured dogs, they usually chain them up in the gardens.... So when recently a bad tempered rott. bit a little girl, people see us out and about react like they have just seen the death. And there are roamers that they are gonna ban the breed.

I call Marino my hip baby- that tells it all - they are right on their persons hip. I'm 5 foot tall- so that is literal!!! If you can give them a job / i beleive herding is best/ that is what they have been bred to do/ they are amazing at it and it is so natural for them. my boy went to a good friends farm and he herded the goats- to my surprise!!!

Perfection! My Delilah is a Rotti mix. She saves my life on a daily basis. Without her ..... I would *not* be alive. THIS is without question. she is my service dog, my best friend and my companion. I love her. I am grateful that she was born. And angry that some idiot human harmed and abused her before I got her from the shelter. May they go through the same hell and worse that they put my baby girl through.

The only thing bad about a Rottweiler is when they die. There is not a day that goes by i dont think about my buddy. I wont ever have another Rottie, he broke my heart. Look up LOYAL in the dictionary and there is probably a Rottweiler picture there.

I have had 3 Rotts, My youngest one now is just about a year old this month. her name is Bella. Rotts are the best breed of dogs to have and they are truely misunderstood. They are the most loyal dogs to have as a pet, I trust my dog with my life and the life of my kids, She is very loving and needs to be touching one of us at all times, She will literally lay on me or my wife for hours on end.
