I played all Castlevania games, and have to say that the games of CV for the new Nintendo consoles's(GBA, DS, Wii) are the worst of the saga. The anime style and make the games a bit ridyculous.

The OST of the games of Playstation are so much better.

CoD has the best soundtrack in Castlevania history, which is a series already known for fantastic music. Hell, even Haunted Castle, the crappiest game had fantastic music.

Haunted Castle was FAR from the crappiest game in the series. It is a mixed bag, though, as there are several revisions of the game, and some are much easier or harder than others. The easiest one really is tough (especially the stage 4 boss,) but not so hard that it's impossible to enjoy (see Castlevania 2 due to the absolutely atrocious translation job and Castlevania: Dracula X for the SNES.)
