you should put them in a seperate place because the snake will get used to feeding in its cage and if u try to pick him or her up it might mistake ur hand for the food..
@icup728 its actually a type of bedding if you look closely. i use it for my corns because it retains humidity a lot better than other beddings. its a type of Vermiculite based bedding.
Im feeding my snow corn her first live hopper in a few days! =D.. im worried though because im afraid that it will be too big for her. Shes about 3 feet, and a 1 1/2" head. Do you think it will be fine?
you should feed the snake in a separate cage or box because if you feed it directly into it's cage it will think that's were the food will come and try to eat ur hand when you pick it up.
@Nerdydolfin My snake has never struck, or even has been startled by a human. I feed every Friday since he was born and even on Fridays he acts no more aggressive. Albino corn snake "Walt"
Its kinda mean to give em to him alive, i feed mine dead mice + it dosnt "Shit" haha
i use a seperate tank to feed mine, i just use chop sticks to hold the dead mouse by its tail and wiggle it a few, he loves it haha, ur snake looks identical to mine but mines bigger.
@BassBewster it's not mean to the snake and some snakes won't eat frozen. My snake would reject the frozen mice but as soon as i put a live one in with him he ate it right away.
because if you plan to handle your snake if you reach in to get him/her he will automatically think FOOD and strike and bite also you dont want your snake injesting the bedding
wasnt that mouse to big for her/him?
Sure she/he ate it whole, but is it ok?
Im learning how to care for one, because i'de like to own one

not true what you said about anacondas being long and slim and pythons being short and fat.

Omg that's so weird. I always jump when the snake jumps for the mouse. Never seen a whole feeding before. Wow

arent u suppose to put your snake in a different place
paoelumba 3 years ago 7
Its a good thing to put them in a seperate place for feeding, but not everyone does.
NothingMuffins 3 years ago 8
whats the reason behind that?.. i have recently bought an Amel cornsnake (my first snake) i was just wondering why.
