@shredknowledge The physical dependence of benzodiazepines far outweighs the mental aspect of it. You'll always have anxiety (if that's what you're on it for,) but who cares. You feel so much better sober. Subutex is not sober, remember that. I was addicted to Klonopin at 18, got off that, then oxy's because i was around them until 21. I was put on phenobarbital for like a month and a half tops OUTPATIENT and havent done it since.
@randomwigger nice one , thats a great help mate .....Ive been on thsis stuff 15 yrs man ...my head is a cloudy stressball , I know the pills stopped working yrs ago and ive cut them in half .....just cut the subutex 2/3'rds after getting off the methadon in the last 2 mnths .....just the subutex , then a short rest and its off those benzo's ,, may ask about the phenobarbs for 2 weeks like you did , and beer once a while ...hell thats not too much hassle
@shredknowledge You will have some mental cravings for it for a couple or a few months, but you won't have any physical ones because the phenobarb prevents seizure and since its a barbituate, it isn't bad at all withdrawing that way. They're basically cross tolerant. The mental cravings will be NOTHING if you truely want to stop. Benzodiazepines dehumanize you...You'll feel incredible once you quit. I couldn't remember shit on them.

Ibogaine doesn't work for everyone so don't let providers tell you that it does, do your research first cause ive noticed in the past year there is a lot of people on here now that said it didn't work for them. i have done it three times and each time the withdrawals came back after the ibogaine wore off and the depression that came with it. Oxycodone withdrawals DO NOT last one month, physically, they last one to two weeks AT MAX. Post Acute Withdrawal Syndrome is what lasts for a life time for many after stopping opioids, hence going back to opioids. PAWS is not a physical symptom, it is the worst mental agony ever. When you get off methadone, you don't go cold turkey, you taper, when done right, it is painless to get off. You should have educated yourself more about methadone before you're so quit to jump the gun
@Whiterobot1 If you are on a high dosage of oxycodone the physical wd is about a week or two, but the depression and mental side of the wd can last much much longer.
Oh wow you've been off methadone for a week, sorry that the treatment didn't work for you. You can in no way say you're cured until the day you die and haven't touched an opioid until then. Opioid addiction is a disease, for many methadone is replacing what is not there. When done right, you goto the facility once a month, it in no way intrudes in life and gives many their lives back, I am one of them. Quit preaching your 'being off methadone is better' bullshit cause it didn't work for you.

I was on methadose 90mg liquid daily for almost eight months. I was coming off both oxycodone and xanax, which I also took daily . When I weened off the methadone it was because something new came out called suboxone. When Suboxone came out it was hailed as the "miracle cure" that this guy says the Ibogane is. I have been on the suboxone now for two years almost and am currently on 2mg suboxone film daily. I am going to do some research on this Ibogane stuff and see what the scoop is.

@kpny1961 5000 to 12000 even higher that has a registered doctor at the clinic. If you have been on opiates long term you are still going to go through withdrawals it just takes away the withdrawal for the first two days and you still have many more days depending what and how long you been on it. coming from some one that has done it three times. your best bet is to taper down as much as possible, exercise, eat really healthy and i mean really healthy and good luck.
I dont know but I was on methadone (120 mg) to be exact, on it for 13 years though.I managed to drop down some mgs. down to 6. Took me a long time to get off it but I did it. I dont know about this Ibogaine, sounds helpfull though, but really if your on juice (methadone) your gonna kick sooner or later. I know its hard but you gotta dig deep down inside and say fuck this shit!!! Eat pot edibles they help out BIG TIMe!!! Good luck to all those in the same struggle. You can do this.
@shenked why not do it without the short acint opiate? what difference does it make? the long half life of long acting opiates will still be stuck. Trust me I got the full ibogaine, it didnt work because these paws were still there. I can handle withdrawals, only weak folks cant, but paws is long and ibogaaine does not work for it, 34 ppl i know who also didi ibogaine arent' clean, so what does that tell u? stop being a little person & fight ur withdrawals, be a man, i did & am Woman! peace!
@TranshumanCyborg Well yeah, look at all the solutions to heroin addiction. Methadone and suboxone! They're both just as addictive as heroin, and they're both very powerful narcotic drugs. Ibogaine works and there isn't a reason to keep suppressing something that works. The FDA passes stuff w/o proper testing all the time if it benefits the food and drug companies. Unfortunately though, the heroin addicts in this country don't have power lobbyists to help them pass treatments.
@TranshumanCyborg You hit the nail on the head. As a victim of the pharmaceutical company known as Eli Lilly, I know this couldn't be more true. Their drug, Prozac, gave me erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation problems that I stil suffer from over 5 years later.
@buffalosoldier90 I did the ibogaine treatment too but i had symptoms coming back to me all the time. In my opinion it only takes away some early symptoms. I was taking suboxone for a couple of years and it did take away little bit of the first withdrawals but it stil sucked later. I dont think ibogaine works to to take away your addiction or what comes months later. I wouldnt wast my dollars again on this. Maybe for hydros and darvocets it can work but not suboxone. I tried it and I know.
I got off methadone and heroin...cold turkey. It was bad, stayed off for 4yrs but now im back on it. The properties of ibogaine seem magical almost beyond believing! im opioid and benzo addicted and so will look into this 'ibogaine' stuff.

I saw a documentary about this 5 or six years ago. It was enlightening, inspiring, motivational and saddening. This really is a miracle cure, people who have been on heroin for most of their life have been cured in less than a week. The chemicals in the iboga tree, block the receptors in the brain that crave opiates. It is very simple, no magic at all. The good thing is that you can't actually get high after however much you try.

@COBRVKKRAZY if you can't obtain ibogaine try buying "peruvian torch" online. get the powder. i used it once to heal an alcohol addict. i dunno if it is as poweful as ibogaine is, but it is very powerful stuff and from what i've heard, seems to work in the same way that ibogaine is, maybe you should give it a try.

I know of a physician currently setting up childrens clinics in third world countries who claims they already have the cure for cancer, and have had for some time, but refuse to unshelve it because it would devastate this burgeoning career opportunity.

for it to be a "miracle cure" it has to come from OUTSIDE of your body. ibogain technically changes the inside of you by blocking the withdrawl receptors in your brain while giving you hallucinations to up to 3 days. im glad it worked! ive heard many joyous stories. BUT, it is also linked to heart failure. so be responsible....

I think I went to the same ibogaine place in 2004, we went to san diego and then to tijuana, but it wasnt called the ibogaine association back then. Anyways, its the real deal, it worked, saved my life.
negative captain. oxycontin withdrawals can last up to 30 days. methadone is longer acting and takes much longer to leave your body, therefore making the post dramatic much longer as well.
The only thing I can think of is sometimes it takes weeks, months years and sometimes never for your receptors to start working how they used to depending on how long and how much opiates you used.
Cool but this guy does not have his facts straight, Six month for methadone with drawl thats a load of shit, Methadone is hardest and longest withdrawl for any kind of opiate and its about a week - two weeks.(but it does not give you a rush like Oxy, Heroin it binds the receptors rather then flushing them n damage kidneys or liver)

I think it will. He will have to go to Mexico because it is illegal here, but it would be worth it. Just be sure you are at a real clinic with doctors to monitor him.

I was on methaone from 2001 to 2006, in the first year of being on it I gained 100lb and my body chemistry changed dramtically. My teeth started degrading really quickly which is probably due to the intense sugar level swings I had CONSTANTLY. After about 2 years I had high blood preasure and was considered to have treatment resistant depression.
After ibogaine that all changed, I'm at a normal weight, healthy and active. It helped me help myself ;)
Ibogaine works when it comes to ending acute withdrawal and those lusty cravings for opiates so many people deal with for months after getting off opiates. But it does not stop your hand from reaching out for something to get you out of yourself when you don't know how to cope. that takes skill and wisdom!
It goes way beyond chemicals, habituation and addiction can take many forms in this life. Until a person works that out they will continually run towards their fav pleasurable distraction!
It is not a horrible drug if it is prescribed for the individual and it is used properly. It has in fact liberated me from the continuous cycle of sick and euphoric sick and euphoric,et ad nauseum. It isn't the evil drug. It is the ignorant user and by ignorant I mean dishonest, primarily with oneself. Methadone will not work if you are not sick and damn tired with not only heroin but with the lifestyle that goes with it the stealing, hustling and general me, me , me, existence.

@shredknowledge The physical dependence of benzodiazepines far outweighs the mental aspect of it. You'll always have anxiety (if that's what you're on it for,) but who cares. You feel so much better sober. Subutex is not sober, remember that. I was addicted to Klonopin at 18, got off that, then oxy's because i was around them until 21. I was put on phenobarbital for like a month and a half tops OUTPATIENT and havent done it since.

@shredknowledge You will have some mental cravings for it for a couple or a few months, but you won't have any physical ones because the phenobarb prevents seizure and since its a barbituate, it isn't bad at all withdrawing that way. They're basically cross tolerant. The mental cravings will be NOTHING if you truely want to stop. Benzodiazepines dehumanize you...You'll feel incredible once you quit. I couldn't remember shit on them.

Oxycodone withdrawals DO NOT last one month, physically, they last one to two weeks AT MAX. Post Acute Withdrawal Syndrome is what lasts for a life time for many after stopping opioids, hence going back to opioids. PAWS is not a physical symptom, it is the worst mental agony ever. When you get off methadone, you don't go cold turkey, you taper, when done right, it is painless to get off. You should have educated yourself more about methadone before you're so quit to jump the gun

Oh wow you've been off methadone for a week, sorry that the treatment didn't work for you. You can in no way say you're cured until the day you die and haven't touched an opioid until then. Opioid addiction is a disease, for many methadone is replacing what is not there. I was on methadose 90mg liquid daily for almost eight months. I was coming off both oxycodone and xanax, which I also took daily . When I weened off the methadone it was because something new came out called suboxone. When Suboxone came out it was hailed as the "miracle cure" that this guy says the Ibogane is. I have been on the suboxone now for two years almost and am currently on 2mg suboxone film daily. I am going to do some research on this Ibogane stuff and see what the scoop is.

@kpny1961 5000 to 12000 even higher that has a registered doctor at the clinic. If you have been on opiates long term you are still going to go through withdrawals it just takes away the withdrawal for the first two days and you still have many more days depending what and how long you been on it. coming from some one that has done it three times. your best bet is to taper down as much as possible, exercise, eat really healthy and i mean really healthy and good luck.

I dont know but I was on methadone (120 mg) to be exact, on it for 13 years though.I managed to drop down some mgs. down to 6. Took me a long time to get off it but I did it. I dont know about this Ibogaine, sounds helpfull though, but really if your on juice (methadone) your gonna kick sooner or later. I know its hard but you gotta dig deep down inside and say fuck this shit!!! Eat pot edibles they help out BIG TIMe!!! Good luck to all those in the same struggle. You can do this.

Trust me I got the full ibogaine, it didnt work because these paws were still there. Ibogaine works and there isn't a reason to keep suppressing something that works. The FDA passes stuff w/o proper testing all the time if it benefits the food and drug companies. Unfortunately though, the heroin addicts in this country don't have power lobbyists to help them pass treatments.

I was taking suboxone for a couple of years and it did take away little bit of the first withdrawals but it stil sucked later. I dont think ibogaine works to to take away your addiction or what comes months later. I wouldnt wast my dollars again on this. Maybe for hydros and darvocets it can work but not suboxone. I tried it and I know.

I saw a documentary about this 5 or six years ago. It was enlightening, inspiring, motivational and saddening. This really is a miracle cure, people who have been on heroin for most of their life have been cured in less than a week. The chemicals in the iboga tree, block the receptors in the brain that crave opiates. It is very simple, no magic at all. The good thing is that you can't actually get high after however much you try.

@COBRVKKRAZY if you can't obtain ibogaine try buying "peruvian torch" online. get the powder. i used it once to heal an alcohol addict. i dunno if it is as poweful as ibogaine is, but it is very powerful stuff and from what i've heard, seems to work in the same way that ibogaine is, maybe you should give it a try.

I'm tired as hell of my government force feeding me shit that isn't good for me and withholding lifechanging miracles like this from people. It's time to take a stand. I know of a physician currently setting up childrens clinics in third world countries who claims they already have the cure for cancer, and have had for some time, but refuse to unshelve it because it would devastate this burgeoning career opportunity.
Now that is EVIL, and someday, someone will pay for those actions.

Where would big pharma make the big money from opiates?? We use drug programs that have something like a %5 success rate and then tell addicts to go to this useless shit just to go back to using.

iv got plenty of friends who have kicked methadone...they said it wasnt that bad.
iv been cutting back 5 mgs a month and im feeling ok...its slow but ill get there.
i know its gona get hard when i get down to about 30 to 40 mgs.

@beamerZ its not that there chasing it there physically addicted to it (withdrawal)so when they get on meth they start to relies they dont want to be on any drug but it is 20 times harder to kick meth than it is to kick heroin

for it to be a "miracle cure" it has to come from OUTSIDE of your body. ibogain technically changes the inside of you by blocking the withdrawl receptors in your brain while giving you hallucinations to up to 3 days. im glad it worked! ive heard many joyous stories. BUT, it is also linked to heart failure. so be responsible....

I think I went to the same ibogaine place in 2004, we went to san diego and then to tijuana, but it wasnt called the ibogaine association back then. Anyways, its the real deal, it worked, saved my life.

negative captain. oxycontin withdrawals can last up to 30 days. methadone is longer acting and takes much longer to leave your body, therefore making the post dramatic much longer as well.

The only thing I can think of is sometimes it takes weeks, months years and sometimes never for your receptors to start working how they used to depending on how long and how much opiates you used.

Cool but this guy does not have his facts straight, Six month for methadone with drawl thats a load of shit, Methadone is hardest and longest withdrawl for any kind of opiate and its about a week - two weeks.(but it does not give you a rush like Oxy, Heroin it binds the receptors rather then flushing them n damage kidneys or liver)

I think it will. He will have to go to Mexico because it is illegal here, but it would be worth it. Just be sure you are at a real clinic with doctors to monitor him.

Power to you brother. I'm glad (at least mexico and canada) are willing to give psychadelics to help people with adddictions. maybe you don't know but back in the 60s and 70s they used to use LSD in therapy successfully to treat alcoholism....but in any case i'm glad it worked out for you

I was on methaone from 2001 to 2006, in the first year of being on it I gained 100lb and my body chemistry changed dramtically. My teeth started degrading really quickly which is probably due to the intense sugar level swings I had CONSTANTLY. After about 2 years I had high blood preasure and was considered to have treatment resistant depression.
After ibogaine that all changed, I'm at a normal weight, healthy and active. It helped me help myself ;)

Ibogaine works when it comes to ending acute withdrawal and those lusty cravings for opiates so many people deal with for months after getting off opiates. But it does not stop your hand from reaching out for something to get you out of yourself when you don't know how to cope. that takes skill and wisdom!
It goes way beyond chemicals, habituation and addiction can take many forms in this life. Until a person works that out they will continually run towards their fav pleasurable distraction!

It is not a horrible drug if it is prescribed for the individual and it is used properly. It has in fact liberated me from the continuous cycle of sick and euphoric sick and euphoric,et ad nauseum. It isn't the evil drug. It is the ignorant user and by ignorant I mean dishonest, primarily with oneself. Methadone will not work if you are not sick and damn tired with not only heroin but with the lifestyle that goes with it the stealing, hustling and general me, me , me, existence.
