Like you, I learn science in English even easier than in my native language. Polish and what I know of Russian really touch the Soul, I guess other Slavic languages would be similar. The best way to see it, for me, is through poetry in those languages. Spanish gives similar feeling if you know it well.

I think the Russian language is the sexiest in the world, as long as it's a guy speaking (it doesn't have the same effect on me if it's a girl). This is a great performance, it's quite disappointing they edit so much stuff off of the concert DVDs. Especially St. Petersburg 2007 has so many songs edited off, although some later appeared on TV (though nobody recorded it on a DVD etc. someone did record it offscreen though). Moscow 2007 is rare and only found on V's website.
I love the rhythm of this song, the panpipes. The song Half Night Half Day is a bit similar in that part, although it's quite different being a techno-ish song.
Just so you know: because of discrimination. MOST gay men in Russia are married and have beautiful wives. Some have children as well. It's very typical.

But's what's Vitas' motivation to become a European star? He is already a start in Russia and most of Asia, makes loads of money. I would like him to sing the english version of the love song from The Godfather...i think he'd do a great job with it!

I don't think it would be the same if he sung these songs in English. Just like some songs have a better tone in Latin, so do his songs in Russian.
Besides a lot of people are learning Russian because of him. I know I am (...from Canada).

But's what's Vitas' motivation to become a European star? He is already a start in Russia and most of Asia, makes loads of money. I think Vitas purposefully chose Asian market instead of European market. Europeans are spoiled. Asians don't demand he learn their languages (though he started singing in Chinese). They listen to him in Russian and love him for his voice and talent. Btwy, he speaks English, you can find his video where he sings Blue Swede Shoes and does MJ's walk.

@LeCanadienerrant It's not that he needs to sing in English..as much as we need to learn to listen in Russian. The lyrics he is singing is beautiful in Russian and should stay in Russian. Bravo to this marvelous Russian artist.

@LeCanadienerrant I agree with you. I'm American and American secular music is appaling! I don't speak Russian, but I look at the translated versions. I love Vitas' music! He does know English by the way. But I don't wish that his lyrics were in English because I love the Russian language, I'd rather learn a bit of Russian myself. And he doesn't look like Prince Willaim, he's way better looking than Prince William!
