o i knew it!.. some guy tried to tell me that all engines can only have 2 valves per cylinder.. n i told him he was wrong without actually knowing he was wrong.. lol.. he thinks hes a smart ass becuase hes been in an autotech class for 2 weeks..
You can get, per cylinder, 3 (new Mustangs), 4 (very common, every 2 litre basically), 5 (quite common, Audi & VW use 5 a lot), even six valves per cylinder (although there's only a few prototypes of those).
Some of the Honda bike engines had 8 valves per cylinder but that never really caught on and they had oval pistons, only reason that really could fit in...

i have a 1990 nissan 240sx with 12 valves.. its pretty sweet.. im tryin to do somthing like wat you did to your car.. its a scion isnt it?

Straight 4, or slant (just) 4 if you want to be picky. 16 valve, so 4 valves per cylinder :)
