The beginning of corporate greed in this kid's eye. Men at work was my first favorite band as a kid... then they pull this crap where it's only Collin Hay and Greg Hamm? come on! Someone wants all the money. I'm glad to see this as a failure.
impossível não sentir saudades de uma época dessas !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! para sempre MEN AT WORK !!! todos os dias agradeço a DEUS por ter vivido essa década
There were definitely some good songs on the third album, one of which was this. Three original members remained with Strykert leaving right after the release of 'Two Hearts', leaving just two (Hay and Ham). The third and last album although pretty decent by all counts was overproduced and uneven compared to the first two (which are all time classics). Colin's solo stuff is great and he's still amazing in concert even today!!!!
From the Two Hearts album which had some nice songs but the producer ruined most of them by making bad mixes and too much overdubbing, etc. Plus two of the original band members had left by then. This song was not so much over-produced so still sounds pretty good.
@SASAussie that was unnecessary - jews are white, immigration generates ghettos and interracial relationships are wanted by all races - unless their religion says they're 'infidels' by screwing a different wiener or beaver LOL
I don't think these guys are capable of doing a song anywhere near as lame as the garbage that pollutes American Radio today. I had never heard this song. Until VERY recently, I was under the impression that Men At Work only had two albums. I am so glad I was wrong. Thank you to all of the fans of great music who still post this material for us not as well cultured folks. :)
@jeffengee2000 You should really listen to the Solo Colin Hay material -- it is FANTASTIC. I went to a show a few years back and was simply blown away.
Collin Hay needs to get off this SOLO ACOUSTIC TOUR shit. Saw him in Dallas few months ago. Funny, yet bitter about old stuff. His best peice of work: Wayfarings Sons Album back in 91 or 92. There is nothing wrong about getting the old band together and tour the county fairs and flower festivals. It's over with good ol days, which they had it for only 2 years .
I didn't know they had a video for this, either. Not a big fan of this album. I though Business as Usual, and Cargo were brilliant. This song is pretty decent.
Hi I`m Brazilian and Men at work was so famous in Brazil back in the days... now I`m in AUS and I will see next week Colin Hay & Band concert here in Perth... and going by myself LoL !!!
Why did they stop after only 2 albums? Everything about them was dynamic...Did they make more and the rest not make it across the ocean? Did I miss them? Their sound was so unique... Timeless...
They actually made 3 albums, Business As Usual (which had Down Under and Who Can it Be Now), Cargo (which had Overkill and It's a Mistake) and Two Hearts (which is where this song is from). By the time Two Hearts came out there were only 2 members left and this album didn't live up to the first 2 in sales, so they called it a day.
@tecnoborg75 that's because back then, musicians were still musicians at the end of the day, nowadays there are a few gems here and there but most of your famous musicians of the day are overpaid overrated spoiled rotten brats, and on top of it, their music sucks!!
This song sticks in my brain more than just about any other of theirs. Simple, light, bouncy, but just enough of a wistful edge to avoid being total sap. Really great song IMO; horribly underrated.
I will say this,,,,,,,,If I was ever a singer , Collins voice is the voice I would want.............this guys voice sounds good everytime.........I cant even get bored of hearing his voice,,,,,,,,,,,Thanks Men at Work , and thanks colinhaycombr
Its September 2008 and I play this song in my Taxi lol Then I hear it on the Radio a couple of weeks later and Im like WTF??? LOL Go ''Darwin Radio Taxis'' XD lmao This song rocks the Northern Territory lol
What a treat finding this! I remember hearing this song for maybe a week or so way back when and then Men at Work just seemed to disappear from the radio. I never knew a video was made for this song.
