  • I having nightmares when i have to clean the box -.-"

  • @TheSeriousmrkarate they r quite an aggressive species

  • God I hate when crickets don't cooperate

  • It is actually magnificient seeing how it attacks. I see why one old-school kung-fu movie had a villan that used the spider-style. No lie. I don't remember the name of the video here on Youtube but he even had a dark cobalt blue outfit with a cape that had a white spider web pattern on the back of it.

  • OMG They are so smart!. Notice how the spider sunk back down into its burrow when the cricket came back near the entrance.

  • And blue is my favorite color. Man, I definitely need this species of spider now.

  • Video start at 1:50.. -.-

  • that spider is a beast. awesome gonna have to get me one day...or maybe a camel spider :) those things are hilarious.

  • Just wondering how humid you keep it in there looks a bit dry just wondering because this particular tarantula needs slightly higher humidity then normal.

  • I used to own one of these and it died for some reason when I went tocheck on it because it was hiding and wasn't eating anything for almost two weeks she was dead but her abdomen was flat and it was turning green does anybody know y this happend

  • It was like tremors but faster

  • You should keep the substrat moist !

  • v.nice

  • Thats really cool :)

  • FUUUUCK!!!!

it looked so good when the T attacked and dragged the cricket into the deeps :)

  • It's not good to interfere while a spider is trying to eat, you're being impatient, just let it do what it has to do, which is wait. That is what spiders are good at doing in order to eat

  • nice teamwork

  • i luv tarantulas

  • How do you heat the cage when it's plastic?

  • I could never own a tarantula.. or any spider for that matter. I'm just so scared of one day waking up to find he's not in his box anymore... I'd be so fucking terrified.

  • @AlexLong1000 Does the fact that the average human eats 5 spiders in his/her sleep help you at all?

  • How did you make the burrow?

  • do these tarantulas come out in the night or day??

  • Fast little bastard.

  • holy crap i was soo scared all the way through! calmed down a bit in the middle then BOOM! it got him!

  • SHIT! Do I want one or do I not do I want one or do I not?! :O

  • i hate when you take a shit and its so heavy that you get splashed by the toilet water

  • @pedBACH Ahahahahahahahaha. Lol. I know the feeling..

  • Snatch!

  • i want one!!!! i love the cobalt blue taratula!!!!!

  • That's a MASSIVE cricket!

  • @saulhudson420 It's not that big really haha it's because the camera is close to them.

  • @EmoBabeBoi Oh lol. Well, gorgeous spider anyway. Cobalt blue T's are aggressive generally, aren't they?

  • @saulhudson420 Yeah they are, although mine is more flighty than fighty lol :)

  • he actually weny bk towards it?

  • 0:52

Let me just get my giant poker stick out

  • Back when I kept T's I took delivery of one of these, but sent it right back when I realised I was a coward!

  • Well I've got g rosea, t stirmi, t apopyhsis, mate. My bulbs r just heat coluor bulb's

  • Don't blame you mate i would love some more tarantula :-) lol. Well my g rosea is 15 years old now so I've got alot of experence which is good :-D my room is very cold so i use heat bulb's which i hate :-( but ive got no other heat source.

  • @ahickin Do you have experience with old worlds? Coz slings of any species are very fast lol Which bulbs do you use?

  • @EmoBabeBoi Im getting my first Tarantula and its going to be a cobalt blue, im not handling it and im getting help with habitat etc from someone at a store, although i have mixed feelings as they are fast =P

  • @ImAMentalPatient Are you sure you want to start in the deep end?

  • @EmoBabeBoi LoL i went to the pet store and they got the cobalt blue tarantula out and it had died i was like =O and their tarantulas were very small and looked unhealthy, instead of the tarantulas i bought 2 guinea pigs called Sam and Jerry. When im older im going to buy the cobalt blue tarantula and a chili rose.

  • @ImAMentalPatient Awwh that sucks :( you thought about ordering from an online dealer? They're generally alot better.

  • @EmoBabeBoi Im from britain and i wouldnt want to order from an online dealer because there are not many dealers near me which sell tarantula's, might just wait until the Aquamania store have more

  • @ImAMentalPatient Im in the UK too :P haha I buy from thespidershop.co.uk really good service, I would recommend to anyone living in the UK.

  • 10 tarantula'a that's cool :-) I've only got 3 tarantula because i've got no room for no more :-( Is it hard looking after slings and what do u use for heat source.

  • @ahickin 10 will probably be over 100 in a few years haha and no, slings are fairly easy as long as you have some decent experience behind you. And tarantulas don't need a heat source :) room temperature is perfect for them. Some artificial heat sources can kill a tarantula from over-heating/burning them. Though, if the room you keep them in is really cold, like less than 20 degrees celcius i'd use a room heater instead of dircetly feeding the enclosure with heat.

  • One year that's cool :-) how many tarantula's have you got.

  • @ahickin Right now i've got 10 tarantulas; 3 adults, one juvie and 6 slings :)

  • Hi :-) i thought so i use the same for my t stirmi and g rosea. How long have u had your colbalt blue for

  • @ahickin Just over a year I think, can't quite remember lol

  • Hi my name is alan I'm from england birmingham. Your colbalt blue is awesome :-) what substraight do u use for her

  • @ahickin I use peat moss, you get it from pet shops in a brick :)

  • look at her legs i mean she sticks her front ones strait out so she can fit looks almost intreiguing idk how to explain it but just watch

  • wow lookat the way she goes back in her burrow i have this cave thingy in my encloaser that works great for them

  • dragged it down to hell......

  • Animal Kaiser Time!

  • Beautiful. Is yours aggressive?

  • @gvader Not really aggressive, she's defensive though. Any disturbance and she darts back down her burrow. She'd rather run away than stand and threat.

    -Matt

  • awwh shes beautifulll ........<3

  • awhh its beautiful im getting one in a week and im happy my bird eater die....stupid kitty>.<

  • My dad had a huge tarantula once, but I don't know what type it was. It was so strong, it could snap a pencil with it's fangs. It died when my dad fed it an earthworm, which makes me wonder if they are poisonous to tarantulas.

  • @TrueGamer181 The earthworm probably had ingested fertiliser which is fatal to arachnids.

  • @TrueGamer181 Or insecticides etc

  • Pang!

  • jeez,brrrrrrrrrrr

reminds me of sheloba from lotr

  • @EmoBabeBoi I hope you don't mind the question, but how much did you pay for it???

  • @babalufinho I think he was about £20 so pretty good actually, just a shame he's a he haha

  • there playing (call of duty) in the back round in a A130

  • A little TLC to care for your little blue hulk. XD LMFAO!!

  • woah that is so awesome

Does it have like, i little cave down there?

  • @Tikachu45 Yeah she does lol it's pretty cool =]

  • i've heard these are very aggresive is that true, and can you handle these also??

  • @TheHawk545 Look at previous comments and you'll find out lol

  • hahahahaha that cricket got destroyed the haplopema lividum's are a fav i wish mine was burrowing it has a missing leg:(

  • do you ever handle it at all?

  • @pittbullbill No... That would be a bit wreckless seen as I would almost certainly receive a very painful bite. This species is wayy too defensive for handling.

  • the most badass part is where he just sinks into the abyss. could you shine any light on them to make them blue or is there a specific light? how long do they live?

  • @kendryna2 Haha :) You can shine any light on them but it is hard to pick up all the colours on camera. And if female upto probably 10-15 years, male probably no more than 5-6 years.

  • Wow that things fast could it kill a human if bitten on the hand?

  • @MrRapeVictim No, not at all. No tarantula is dangerous to a human. This species however could inflict a very painful one but by no means will it kill you.

  • this substrate is toooooo dry for any kind of haplopelma imho...

  • At the time it was going through a drying out period... You need to boost the humidity then allow it to dry then start over again. It keeps the mites in check.

  • lol cool esp at the end with its lets up not seen mine do that yet
