  • the technology this car has, the american's will have it in another 10 years

  • GT-R loves cold weather.

  • You know what? If this car is that good why they keep promoting it all the time. They don't do that with BMW or Ferrari or Lambo, what is it with this car that they trying to sell it as fastest as posible. And in Europe GTR has been not succesful as they said last week.

  • comment fail.

  • Wait... Tooele is not East of Salt Lake. It's WEST of Salt Lake!

And it is pronounced more like Too-ill-uh, or if you are a Utahn, it's tah-will-uh.

Funny when people from out of town visit, they call it "too-lee". I heard a pilot one day on the air traffic control for SLC International call it that.

  • they (porsche) can pump however much into new cars...GTR is still gona do well because it ticks a lot of boxes. If i had the money id preorder one straight away..appeals more to me than a porsche...also have a feeling a lot of people are not going to have in in England which is even better...stick to your porsches...

Like today i saw a Ford Mustang in London...its better to have something rare like that than a porsche which everyone in london has

  • well you know the vette has been around for like ever - it might be fast and all but the GTR is new in the market - the Zr1 is sick as fuck but it looks like a CORVETTE nothing really different, so thats why the GTR is all so popular... you always see a corvette driving around it might not be the Z06 or the Zr1 but its a vette... I've seen 5 GTRs on the street since it came out so its like DAMN!

  • the zr1 is the first vette that isn't really a vette. It's more european, import like than it is american and that is why it's not really talked about. People don't know what to think of it. Imagine if Bmw came out with a charger.. its like what??!!! and the bmw charger would be swept under the rug for the time being.

  • the gtr isn't new, it's popular because it's japan's top track car since at least 6 years back

  • Actually the GTR is alot older than most people thing. It actually dates back to the 70s and i even think the 60s. just wasn't popular like now.

  • LOL there are so much vids about nissan gtr and so little vids about zr1 its like people hate that car

  • yeah..+1 on that. But the GTR has sooo much to talk about.

    the Zr1 is just......

    fast. =/

  • U know,,was looking for some modified vettes vids i cant find any,,google gtr thought its different

  • i want one and a ZR1.

  • people tooele is west of Salt Lake not east haha. And its not that far out its about 15 minutes past the airport.

  • I have one. Check it out!

  • i want one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • the gtr was here and i missed it!? and just for the record tooele is WAY east in the middle of nowhere

  • were those the standard wheels or optional wheels because the look awesome...

  • i know theyre the fucking sickest stock rims ive ever seen

  • The price of super cars are going down, nice.

  • the GTR is pretty beast ass car

  • Anyone who has driven the west track would probably tell you a 1:44 is a pretty ***** time for a car like the GTR... Edmunds, next time you come out to MMP let a professional driver test the car!

  • you should wear a helmet

  • GTR

  • this car is already spanking the Z06 and 911 turbo.

Porsche is pumping out the new GT2 to take down the GTR.

Chevrolet is building the ZR1 to dominate the GTR.

i got news for both of them. say hello to GTR Spec V.

  • indeed

  • ya GT2 for $200,000!!! GT-R = <3

  • fantastic uauuuu

  • Honda & Toyota are fucked.

  • they were fucked even before this car, 350z member it can smoke any car honda or toyota have

  • That front end is ugly!!

  • UMMM No its not. You must mean another car.

That front end is looks killer(aggresive etc) Check out photos to get a better look.

  • long live the GT-R family

  • agree

  • dont forget it has fuel injectors,ABS, and power steering too!

  • KUDOS**** lol

  • JAPANESE POWER

  • drag racing = "oo look at me I can go in a straight line!! I is well cool"

Drifting = having control of the car an being able to use ALL the controls , not just the gas and the clutch, oh and the corners go left and right.

  • i have to agree drifting is awesome but drag racing is a little different if u have ever seen a top fueler with 7000hp/trq u would have a different opinion, its a little more than just going in a straight line, u have to be like the friggin hulk to drive them things, the drive themselves literally

  • Ive seen top fuel on the tv and even on their it looks awesome and takes alot of skill (4-5 sec 1/4 mile is nuts), but Im talking about the idiots in their mustangs thinking they have the best car ever.

  • my dad has one its sweet

  • You should make a Youtube video with you and your dad driving it around. :/

  • The moniter same 'playstation' !!

  • the cars will be making American muscle cars the thing of the past. Well not really but they wont be winning many races in the same price range as the GT-R. Not the stock cars anyway. I love these cars, they are rocketships.

  • No, it wasn't. It was an all wheel drive, terrible for drifting.

  • Agreed, it was designed to be a wonderful allrounder.

  • not really, it has only two seats... an all a rounder should have four seats if not four doors.

  • You're a total Idiot.

  • wtf are you talking about, its awd. people who make cars for drifting instead of dragging are gay.

  • hey coryskateboarder...your a dumb asssssss...they were testing it around a track...so why are you talking about dragging

  • bapak kau

  • my draem !!!

  • komm bald zu mir mein traum!!!!

  • сдержите сдержите nissan в ишаке. Настолько сердито они делают левую сторону управлять. Вставьте гидровлический распространитель в их ишаке мам

  • That wasn't russian was it? I couldn't understand a word of that.

  • yes it's teh kommunist lanauge

  • The Ford GT is an excellent car... performance and driving dynamics on par with many Euro exotics. Just because Ford makes it doesn't mean it's crap. As far as "never seeing Fords outside North America" comments go, visit the UK or Australia sometime. I used to live in London, and Fords (Euro models, admittedly) were everywhere. And speaking of the UK, Jeremy Clarkson of Top Gear (BBC car show) loves the Ford GT so much he bought one for himself - and he's famous for disliking American cars.

  • That being said, this discussion is about the Nissan GT-R, which is an outstanding car. I'd take one over a Ford GT simply because I like being the underdog. I can pick up a GT-R, throw a few $k in mods at it, and have a 600+ hp, 200+ mph, 10-second, 1+g, totally docile and street-driveable supercar for $100k or less. The GT-R isn't exactly a sleeper, but it is fairly low-key compared to most other supercars... and that appeals to me - I'm out to impress myself more than others.

  • your absolutely correct. the gt-R is in fact very tunable even though the cpu was designed to make that harder. a team has alreadty bumped up a gt-R's hp passed 600 by just a few alterations to the cpu. the gt-R is the best supercar in the world for the price.

  • @greyfox61987 I agree, but I would make a small change or at least an optional feature. I would like it more with a manual twin clutch transmission. I think that way it would appeal more in some ways for more hardcore drivers. Just like the R-34, although I understand you can't compare the two on many levels.

  • True on the Jeremy Clarkson thing, but he did sell it cause it kept braking down. I'm sure he rather have a GT-R.

  • Yeah Jeremy liked it so much that he got rid of it after it kept breaking down, then he had to buy another one to replace the first one, but that kept breaking down too. So he sold it! As he quoted on TG..."Shame, so much potential and it never delivered!"

  • As I understand it, Clarkson's GT had no mechanical or quality issues - it was all to do with the alarm/immobiliser/tracking system which were installed/modified by aftermarket techs for GTs exported to the UK. In other words, it was nothing to do with the car itself. Poor modifications? Yes. Poor customer service? Yes. Is the GT a poor car? No! There are plenty of GT owners who have never had a problem with their cars. Plenty of European and even Japanese exotics break down on occasion too ;)

  • But why buy a car that needs 3 car spaces just to get into it!!???!!! I would rather have an Ariel Atom...Faster, Cheaper and extremely reliable...And to Quote Jeremy Clarkson: "Absolute driving Nirvana. The measure as to how all sports cars should handle"

  • Yes, the Atom is a great car in its own right. But to compare it to cars like the Ford GT, or the Nissan GT-R for that matter, is comparing apples to oranges. The Atom is more like a large go-kart or 4-wheeled motorcycle. Very fast, small, nimble and easy to park, offers a very pure driving experience... but it has no roof, no body, not even a windshield. I suppose it depends what kind of driving experience you're looking for.

  • Do you guys realize how much work and money henry ford spent to try to keep up with the ferrari's only becouse he was mad that enzo wouldn't sell him the company which is awesome becouse ford fucks everything up and people actually died while testing the GT40 humm P.S i love the R35... good vid

  • what are you talking about?

and the R35 will PWN a ford gt they suck and so does ford, fords are gay.

  • Money? maybe, but work? no.

Sticking a big lazy V8 into a light chassis doesn't seem to equal the kind of engineering that ferrari puts into their cars. Trouble is, ford is still doing it.

  • Well thats just the American style. The Ford GT still handles great and stuff. I guess American cars are just destined to be loose handling :)

  • american cars is horsepower period

  • american cars=big talk and small walk...

    loud motor=little hp...

  • it's big...butt corners like nobody

  • i agree wit grunch73. wut idiot calls a ford gt a joke? this nissan costs nearly half of the gt. to have those numbers up on the board is impressive. the ford gt is based on a race car that swept ferrari in 60's at lemans

  • When will the GTR DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • At this rate never.... Long live the Red R emblem

  • this the new don car for me it was the 911 turbo but this will piss all over it but maybe not on braking

  • Can't wait till top gear gets their hands on one if these baby's

  • they did i think

  • hell yeah dat show is da shiznit they'll probably push da car to its limits

  • edmunds does shitty reviews.

  • Nissan decided not to use Richard Gere for their CM because they are afraid of reaction of Chinese Government. Shame.

  • did he say ford gt... wt a joke

  • What do you mean "what a joke?" The Ford GT is an excellent performance car: 550 hp, 0-60 in 3.3 sec, 0-100 in under 7.8, top speed 205 mph, great brakes and handling. MSRP was about $140,000, although they're now trading in the $150k-$200k range as production has ended and they have collector value. The fact that the regular production, $70,000 GT-R is in the same performance ballpark (despite higher curb weight and less stock horsepower/torque) is extremely impressive.

  • oh i understand ya bro, the ford gt is so fast. it can go 0-60 in 3.3sec. holy smokes, does it have a steering wheel? sorry if that was a stupid question, I've never seen a ford outside of north america.

  • Amuse tuned the car with ECU boost up and exhaust system = 600hp 0.0

  • Thats Only The Beginning My Friend I Seen "Top Secret Tuner Shop" Out Of Japan Pushing The GTR Over 700 Hp With a Few Little Mod's To The Engine Wow Godzilla Lives Man!

  • That is sooo..... unbeliveable...

  • and i bet the exhaust system costs $5000 and the ECU upgrade is another $1000 or so. haha. damn, this car is insane.

  • and a new front bumper is a must that thing is fucking butt ugly but nice headlights.

  • Your insane that car looks amazing.

  • and it definately understeered the last turn.

  • I duno...v6 twin turbo why not a straight 6 prolly can handle more boost...this car is okay.

  • Emissions regulations. Straight six isn't as efficient. the new motor meets japan U-LEV requirements.

  • you need to stop posting...nothing you say is correct

  • GTR, GTR, GTR, GTR, the best ever

  • Love the car, Love the sound, Love the body. I cannot wait till it comes out. I'll be buying it right away.

  • I hate the front end, the back end is nice, but the car is amazing

  • Yea the back is amazing just like the last skylines =] im pretty sure if they would of had the front end from the old skylines just make it a little more buff looking like they did with the back and they would of looked even more amazing!

  • not bad

  • nice! bring it ZR-1..

  • the zr1 is not a competitor to this but the z06 is

  • Hey I like the Z06 but the GTR already spanked that and the 997 Turbo. The ZR1 might actually have a chance at beating the GTR

  • GTR has the Z06 beat on a circuit without a doubt but the Z06 is actually faster in a straight line. Its about equal off the line (the Z06 may be be a little behind because it only has two wheels to cope with all the power) but as the speed climbs the Z06 has it beat...now only if they could make the Z06 handle a bit better then itd be real close on the track...

  • it would be a great race pretty fair race i would love to see it

  • yep. in a straight line-top speed run, the GTR's weight will hurt it. the Z06 is too light and the areodynamics are built for a high speed run.

i definitly want to see these two cars duke it out on a drag strip just for bragging rights.

btw, what ever happened to the Viper? haha.

  • nice wheels..!
