What A Blast From My Past !!!! What A blast This show was !!!! I still have a pack of matches with name LODON VICTORY CLUB !!!! This was downtown Philly best club ,That it seem, You got there in the day light and left the next morning in the day light many many nights !!!!!!! UNTIL KYW NEWS RUIN IT FOR IT BEING OPEN ALL HOURS OF THE NIGHT !!!!!
I'VE BEEN A FAN FOR DECADES & LIVE IN & AROUND PHILLY ALL MY LIFE.....2 YEARS AGO I WENT TO VISIT A FRIEND IN CALI & TOOK A FEW MIXED CD'S WITH ME TO LISTEN TO, WHILE THERE MY FRIEND WANTED TO HEAR WHAT I HAD, I TOLD HIM IT WAS SOME EARLY 80'S LOCAL BANDS & AS I WAS NAMING THEM ROBERTS NAME SLID OUT & HIS EYES LIT UP LIKE HE HEARD HIM BEFORE...I LEFT HIM & CALI W/OUT THAT CD.....THANKS ROBERT YOU ROCKED
went to great adventure with my girlfriend and later wife to see him perform...luckily got by accident backstage to meet Robert..drank a couple beers with him...he was very cool......said that he wrote girls just wanna have fun...(which was a huge hit by Cindy Lauper)..but it was originally boys just wanna have fun...RIP Robert Hazard
NIce very COol...Very Cool Philly Guy- Saw him open for Flock of Seagulls, Elvis Costello, BLondie and Genesis..I remember East side, Ripley, Kennel, Strand, Revival... Thanks for sharing this vid...rough, but tite and with attitude!!!!
Never been to London, but Hazard was a fixture in and around Philadelphia when I was in school there.
Wow...the Ripley Music Hall. Saw Willy Deville there. Saw Jason and the Scorchers there. Saw X there (Del Fuegos opened. What a show!)
I Still have a flyer from the East Side Club somewhere that lists REM as an upcoming band. To give you some idea of how long ago this was, the schedule helpfully describes REM as "from Athens, Ga!"
WOW... This bring back Great Memories... I was there at that show and they were great live...I Met my wife there during a snowball fight with her and her friend... That was my thursday night hang out until Gola Electronics took out the club...it was great loss to the music world when he left us... RIP Robert and the London Victory Club
