Most of the energy is wasted. She should throw lower, not is such a high arc. If she can really throw "twice as far", that only means that she can't throw at all.

@Perelly Agreed. Most of her arm strength is spent keeping her body sustained above the ball (when she is upside down). Basically, she is trading arm strength for momentum. Not sure where you people are getting "twice as far" from

I remeber that 1982, close to the WC in Spain it was pointed out by FIFA that any throw-in, not making from a stabe stand, especially with flic-flacs is forbidden and will be penalized by a red card.

Before that, especially US players had done it.

The did not change the rules since then.

So it is clear:

it is not allowed and the referee should have sent her off immedately.

Only the referee did not knew about the 1982 dicussion.

She is not Brazilian ... and she will never be .... She was born in US, and she does not even speak Portuguese. We do not want such a circus related to our (Brazilian) soccer
