Damn this guy has it all. Soft touch, heavy licks, over the bar line phrasing, general looseness of a jazz musician, outlines harmonies, killer articulation, and he grooves with the band. I hope y'all watching this video are able to understand how hard is to get this full of a sound with just 3 musicians, and no singer to top it off. These guys fucking rock

I sometimes don't get Scott Henderson's playing. When I hear him play, it's like he's playing blues licks with a mix of jazz fusion only he phrases them somewhat uniquely.

Could anyone tell me what makes him so good or maybe it's because I started out as a blues player and I am just bored with the chord progression?

Yes, that's true. Scott's gear was delayed at the airport so he used club owner's and guitarist Andrzej Malcherek Marshall JVM 800 as well as all the efects needed.
