I believe that in retrospect one can hardly tell which culture influenced the other, especially when the intermingling of traditions and philosophical ideas happened some thousand years ago. I think I detect Indian as well as Arabian elements in the dance and the general atmosphere, but I'm most certainly mistaken as I don't have the slightest clue about Asian history and traditions.
