Indeed, I'm not aware about the kre-o stuff ; but that doesn't seems too interresting ! =P Your model is not only absolutely accurate to the "classic" Optimus design, but also perfectly poseable ! Somehow it's the ultimate thing (even better than the original ! ^^') !

I've made many transforming robots when I was a kid, well, surely not that sophisticated ; and I didn't have that much lego pieces : too bad I didn't keep any traces of them. But what you achieved here culminates to perfection ! You should made it official ! =P Congratulations !... :) (But I'm not sure lego would sell that much pieces in one box !... =P And the new models are only getting easier ! I say what a CRAP !... =P)

@Gamera57 you obviously haven't seen Kre-O - Hasbro's answer to Lego Transformers yet - unfortuantely you have to build each mode then take apart and rebuild the next. (sorry that's not a transformer) They should have talked to me first LOL! Mine transform!

It was also my dream to build a perfect lego optimus prime when I was a kid. I did build a transformable optimus back then, wish I made a picture to show it to you. I also made a transformable megazord from the very first season of mighty morphin power rangers. Awesome to see you have fun building lego, you got my respect man!

@StackACat you are correct it is an engine block element with a 2 x 2 orange dome and it does come out in the evetn optimus needs to pass on the matrix.
