@Drobium77 Oh yes indeed, me too. These 250cc two-stroke sports bikes are gettting rather hard to find in affordable terms. The ones around are either in poor state of repair or in such good condition, they go for loads of money. KR1S is supposed to be the fastest of them all, but can be unreliable if neglected. RGV is the better bet. TZR is hard to find and NSR is too expensive. RS is just a pain to own, being Aprilia and has a very narrow powerband results in having to thrash it.
@Drobium77 Oh yes the H1 triple or even more insane, the H2R 750cc triple that kicked out 115bhp and was tested at 185mph. I guess with petrol as expensive as it is, you would need to own a bank to run one of the triples that do 20mpg and less.
@Drobium77 I've had my fair share of two-strokes and the Kawasakis being the better ones in my opinion. I had a Honda H100 and it was juicy as hell only getting about 55mpg. The TZR125 powervalve I had was fun and also the RD125LC I had but sold both 10 years ago and a few years ago respectively. The RD is now a Kenny Roberts replica and must be worth a bit. My best stroker was the KH125 I had at 17 and got rid of it a year later, but managed to get another last year which I'll keep.
@Drobium77 The RF600 - a sports tourer. My mate had an RF900 and went down to south of France and back with no problems whatsoever. He said the RF was one of the best bikes he had and he's had loads. He also said it was like a superbike in terms of performance. I have a Kawasaki ZZR600 which is mentally fast, comfortable and pulls so well low down at 1500rpm even in top gear. I need to do the gearbox bearings or wheel bearings as it whines when going at 50mph plus.

The ZZR I've lusted over for years now, but Rf's are cheaper.
@Drobium77 No. I have a ZZR600. I was considering getting a Honda X11 which I called the CB1100 so that was the user name I came up with. Many people say it's a naked Blackbird but its actually very different. I might get a Blackbird one day, but I am a Kawasaki fan so might get a ZZR1400.

I remember listening to this while my husband, me and the kids were going away for Christmas. He had decided to leave me after Christmas and we were doing the trip "just for the kids sake". All I could do was try not to cry, knowing that this was our last Christmas together as a family. It still makes me sad to hear this song.

@Drobium77 Oh yes indeed, me too. These 250cc two-stroke sports bikes are gettting rather hard to find in affordable terms. The ones around are either in poor state of repair or in such good condition, they go for loads of money. KR1S is supposed to be the fastest of them all, but can be unreliable if neglected. RGV is the better bet. TZR is hard to find and NSR is too expensive. RS is just a pain to own, being Aprilia and has a very narrow powerband results in having to thrash it.

I've always been a stroker fan, but being poor, I can usually only afford the older Jap' strokers like the suzi GT380's and 250's.
The one I'd really like is the old 'widow maker' H1!
They have manic acceleration, shit handling and kick out 60bhp all within a thousand revs'.
They are expensive but the street cred if prolly even better than with a KR1s or RGV.
And then there are the LC's lol!

@Drobium77 Oh yes the H1 triple or even more insane, the H2R 750cc triple that kicked out 115bhp and was tested at 185mph. I guess with petrol as expensive as it is, you would need to own a bank to run one of the triples that do 20mpg and less.

That's one of the main reasons I got rid of my last gt380, I seemed to having to give it a full tank every couple of days, not mention two stroke oil!
It was just before the values shot up in price that I got rid of it too in 2006 for £600
Now they are fetching up to 2-3k??!!!!!!!
I really miss dissapearing into a cloud of blue smoke every morning though lol!
My currant bike's a Royal Enfield 500, although I'm getting an RF600 shortly.

@Drobium77 I've had my fair share of two-strokes and the Kawasakis being the better ones in my opinion. I had a Honda H100 and it was juicy as hell only getting about 55mpg. The TZR125 powervalve I had was fun and also the RD125LC I had but sold both 10 years ago and a few years ago respectively. The RD is now a Kenny Roberts replica and must be worth a bit. My best stroker was the KH125 I had at 17 and got rid of it a year later, but managed to get another last year which I'll keep.

@Drobium77 The RF600 - a sports tourer. My mate had an RF900 and went down to south of France and back with no problems whatsoever. He said the RF was one of the best bikes he had and he's had loads. He also said it was like a superbike in terms of performance. I have a Kawasaki ZZR600 which is mentally fast, comfortable and pulls so well low down at 1500rpm even in top gear. I need to do the gearbox bearings or wheel bearings as it whines when going at 50mph plus.

Funnily enough, I was torn between the RF and a ZZR.
I love the way RF's look and I used to own a gsx600f which was the comfiest bike I've ever owned (on bike 23 in 17 years lol) so I figured the Rf would be similar.
Also it looks like a Ferrari in red :D
The ZZR I've lusted over for years now, but Rf's are cheaper.
Which would you go for if you were me?

@Drobium77 No. I have a ZZR600. I was considering getting a Honda X11 which I called the CB1100 so that was the user name I came up with. Many people say it's a naked Blackbird but its actually very different. I might get a Blackbird one day, but I am a Kawasaki fan so might get a ZZR1400.

Reminds me so much of the last days I had with my first dog, a bouvier de flandres called Hektor. I knew he was critically ill, one of his kidneys had totally shut down, and the other one only worked for 25%. For a large dog at the age of almost fourteen, this is fatal. This song was played a lot around Christmas time 1994. My dear Hektor died on January 5th 1995. He lives on in my fondest memories.
