  • .....talking is my business, and business is good

  • A MEN OF CLARITY. CONTINUE FROM JIDDU KRISHNAMURTI,,BRUCE LEE,BARRY LONG AND NOW FOR THE WORLD ECKHART.THIS IS BEEN A LONG AWAITING.THE QUESTION SEEM INFANTILE.HE IS SO CONDITION POSSIBLE FROM WHAT HE IS TOLD TO DO.

  • There are a million of poor people suffering of hunger and he wants to create a foundqtion, yeahhh thats pushing the human race forward, that's what the humanity needs, a new religion in the few of his followers!!!

  • @starwberryfeelds if he want to light a cigar with a 100 bil well it's his money.

  • @elisaisabel ? his money ? Are you really thinking in such an egoistic way? Humanity is a community. The gap between rich and poor is bigger then it was ever before....should that mean that the rich people should not spend there money to the poor people?

    sounds meaningless....

  • @starwberryfeelds i'm jobless, i'm broke.. he didn't rob anybody (maybe should publish cheaper books so i can afford them!) But maybe if someone has an extraordinary income, they should pay taxes, and those taxes should go directly to the poor people.. But, is there any law like that?

  • Donate, not spend

  • @starwberryfeelds HIS money

  • I would spend the whole money...

  • More medias should put Tolle into question.

3 million $ of circular logic. That's quite an american accomplishment.

Setting up a foundation at some point ... yeah right ..

  • @MrPrjau HIS money!!

  • follow the money !

if he's on public TV,Oprah :):)bet he don't know much, I'm sure. He's pure fashion , multimillion corporation traveling around the world.-"i am listening Tolle i'm advance, you're still in dark" Is that EGO?Those who new and wanted to change, help humanity are long time ago underground or locked. Wake up you vaccinated morons. With what you want to find consciousness? You chemical wasteland! I'M GOD with mercury brains! Peace! Yes,yes sorry,I'm leaving

  • this man has dedicated his life to helping others, and he has managers that set up the events. of course money is going to be made, and he wants to spend it in a charitable matter. he has barely made a few millions that he doesnt even use and theyre already calling him a scam artist. look at justin bieber, 80 million dollars, crap after crap music, but no one talks about him i guess? to these people, all spiritual teachers are businessmen trying to reach your pockets.

  • @gitarre256 you said it!!

  • the aussie seems stupid to me, he tries to make Eckhart look bad by saying all these nonsense...he asks why he changed his name ...I have an answer for him: because thats what he wanted, he didn't like to be Ulrich and became Eckhart the same way Richard Jenkins became Richard Burton, who gives a shit. Now how much Eckhart made by selling books and seminars? is his business, this was an intrusive personal question. Eckhart has contributed a lot to people much more than the smartass reporter.

  • There are many so called teachers who repeat others and sell books about spirituality. I talk about myself, I admit that since I read his book the "power of now" 11 years ago it had a gradual but sweeping effect on me. It seems that it happened with millions of others. Trying to make him appear another scam and belittle him that he tries to make money is simply stupid. He has done more for his readers than the reporter who tried to make him look bad.

  • It's much more honorable of course to be a TV show and make money off selling Pharmaceutical Drugs via advertising to gullible people than to actually try to share a practical tool for helping individuals to heal themselves and have healthy enjoyable lives. ?????

  • Have we really created a 'Journalistic' system - that creates attack pieces like this?...sad. The good 'news' about it is that they will self destruct if we simply pull our energy out of being entangled and stay in the Presence.

  • My favorite of Tolles work is living a life of inner peace have listened to it three times now and always take away something new and good!

  • Lol Gorgon, awesome inspiration! Going back to listening to the power of now! Lol

  • I agree with you and have the same stand. I am a born again Christian that believes in Jesus as Christ, but I have learned much from Tolle because it is truth and just makes sense if you are open to change your pattern of belief to line up with that truth. I take from his teachings the truth, if I hear him say something that doesn't seem to make sense to me, I don't receive it, or if it doesn't line up with the bible, I don't but most of what I have heard has been truth and he gets a lot of his

  • "As with every well marketed message there's an urgent deadline" - "If there is no shift in the collective consciousness of humanity, humanity probably is not going to survive the next 100 years." I've never heard 100 years described as an urgent deadline before.

  • How does this juxtaposition of scary music and Eckhart Tolle qualify as "journalism"?

  • I's simple, if you are poor, people say "you are right teacher". If you are rich say" you are not right!"

  • Very good, thi may raise more awareness of Eckhart's work! I am a Christian, and I still practice what a fair few people call 'the power of now' because I have found it to work. The bible states that Satan is the king of liars, eckhart doesn't lie in his work, just states his understanding of the human condition - which is how we can call egoic mostly. You can observe easily the amount of ego within those who conspire against Eckhart and those who know his teachings to be true. 'War is a mindset

  • dear dear Im cringing at the reporters.

  • You don’t hear about masters or they’re criticised in the newspapers and the media because the people who write those things wouldn’t know a master if they fell over one. A certain depth of perception is needed to hear the master. Either you hear or you don’t. Either you see or you don’t.

    quote of Barry Long

  • some serious hard- and smartass ego confrontating eckhart here...

I wonder if they've read his books at all or just didn't understand anything in it. Don't know which is worse for a "journalist"

  • Unbelievable that Eckhart Tolle lowered his vibration to go

on such a shallow program as Today Tonight,. & how they

enjoyed to mock his work, how obvious that none of the

reporters were conscious of the moment or to even have

a slightest comprehension to what his books reveal, yes

they are sleepwalkers alright. 10 out of 10 Eckhart

  • This video just inspired me to further my acceptance of the present moment and more actively practice awareness because, if I was in this situation they put Eckhart in... I wouldnt be nearly as calm as he was LOL.

  • these aussies need to settle right down

  • lol poor guy, he thought the media were gonna be open to him, not knowing they are an arm of the ego

  • if anyone could be as childlike as this man they shall be gifted the humbleness of the kingdom of heaven.

  • What's the fuzz? It's okay to earn millions by selling a product that has a huge impact on people's mind. But it's also okay to ask about these earnings. Nobody has to protect Tolle because he's talking profound. Steve Jobs could have answered it the same way; "So Steve, why does the Ipad cost that much?" Steve replies; "well, thats the wrong question, the question is, what's your inner response to it?" Both have/had missions and products to sell. I like Tolle more then Apple though.

  • The reporter for this story is a total idiot. This is your typical trash media story aired during prime time TV. Australia feeds on this crap Monday to Friday it's pathetic.

  • all we can do is show compassion for those people out there who are still yet to awaken. peace be to you all :)

  • "fuck aussie pricks" - stillness speaks, page 798

  • Shame on you channel 7

  • Eckhart Tolle is Satan manifested in the flesh.

  • @Yaylin2 LOL!

  • @wingituk Glad to be the first to shock you about this new info :)

  • that was ugly journalism. I see how today tonight tried to portray the story but they didn't even skew the evidence properly, anyone can see through the biased cracks that Echkart has a genuine agenda. Can the same be said for today tonight? Almost hypocritical

  • the only true spiritual practice is to be completely centred in the now. eckhart has become a portal into this teaching for westerners.

an enlightened individual doesn't care who taught you this, what books you read, what religion you believe in. it is irrelevant.

this show completely misses the point, but what else can you expect of ego?

    i love his response:

    "i dunno, 3 million... but i can't tell you"

"and what do you do with that money eckhart?"

"at the moment i don't do anything..."

  • It´s fun watching people in vain trying to provoke Eckhart. He never claimed to be special in any way nor he ever said that his teachings the most unique. I casually read the book the power of now without even knowing that it was a bestseller neither knowing that its author was famous. It was just very helpful and inspiring to me!

  • Tolle does not follow his own teachings and does not understand what now really means....a person in the now would never talk of a new earth etc...just a businessman.. As Jung said many people with depression problems take up spirituality to satisfy their egos...and give them purpose...Again they have no SAKTIPAT.. just 'actor philosophers' as Nisargadatta Maharaj calls them.

  • I love the question...why not charge only 10dollars instead of 995Dollars and more would come...tolle's answer about paying people was weak.

  • ITS TIME TO WAKE UP!!

  • Ego drives the Media...

  • @caviper1 Stop plagiarizing and just add your own opinion.

  • @caviper1 I believe it is the Jews who drive the media.

  • I 'liked' this because it is a shining example of ego trying to make somebody wrong, then failing in a most humorous manner. I love Barry Long and I loved reading all the other positive comments from other viewers.

  • @helenshealth I agree with you my friend.

  • Anyone who has read Eckhart Tolle's books will recognize that this interview was in stark contrast to common sense thinking. "How much money have you made?" "What do you do with the money?" Eckhart said it best: "No. These are not the right questions."

  • monetary system is corrupt, nobody can trust others becouse everithing is being sold! evolution requires to stop this obsolete system and be conscious of the planet and other being beyond identifications and concepts... we can create something like that, look at the venus proyect... but the mistake in that proyect is that is missing this wisdom and vice versa... let's unite, let's create we must to be opened for possitive ideas and take responsability once and for all!!

  • i laughed so hard during this video. hilarious attempt at making eckhart look like some kind of cult leader.

  • Earning money proves that you have a good understanding of life and also of the laws which govern the physical universe.

If I gave you £100 for painting my house you wouldn't say "no thanks, money is really bad. if I take your money this would prove that I am a fake decorator, it's wrong to ask for money for decorating your house'

The guy is not a space cadet, he's not a dreamer. He is able to realize his potential and his purpose and use this to help others. People value him.

  • Ekhart Tolle, Herman Hesse, Albert Einstein -great Germans.

  • This can be seen as a triumph for stillness. With all of the attempts at covering over Eckhart's message - with loud music, mocking dialogue, they were unable to blot out his humility, gentleness and clarity. Agree with TannerMLloyd, nice work Eckhart

  • LOL, one day these people will watch their own video and cringe (I hope,,,for their sake). It'll be a great day for them, and they'll be grateful for cringing...and cringe they will....

  • What is fascinating is that these journalists basically speak about themselves... Money is what ultimately matters to them:)

  • the interviewer is mising a huge oportunity.. also manipulating the information .. cuting the interview, and focusing on money.. for sure he dint read the book and tried to understand.. that makes him a MEDIOCREE AND POOR JOUNALIST ... the focus shold be on what is he teaching, and minumun you should read the book to change opinions;;; im sure this idiot journalist believed on the end of the world on may 21 2011

  • actually why does he charge SO MUCH!? is it to save humanity with ''collective consciousness'' so we as humans will be around past 100 years, or so he can have enough money to last him that long. wake up gullible people. peace :-)

  • @smokeybirdman I think ET is a very humble man who never predicted that his book 'Power of Now' would sell in so many copies. He initially released only 2,500 copies, it's the people who wanted more, it wasn't pushed down anyone's throat. People who moan about money: get a grip. Most of his talks are available online for free.

  • @smokeybirdman Wake up to what? It's not a religion. His message isn't limited to these talks--he's written several books and there are numerous videos here and elsewhere. People should concentrate on the message--it'll resonate or it won't. I absolutely cannot relate to what he charges (I'd do it for free), but that's for him to be ok with. I cannot judge him because I do not know what is in his heart vis-a-vis money. It doesn't change the fact that one can benefit from the message.

  • He is also very high in demand so maybe it's one way of weeding out the people who are serious about making a life change from those who are just looking for entertainment.

I would love to see a foundation. The World needs to rediscover the fullness of life. Not the fullness they promise you if you buy this nice big shiny car at xxxxx amount of dollars

  • is eckhart after money! why does he charge soo much then? I was a huge fan of eckhart but I feel he is after money aswell and that has really put me off eckhart!

  • @Jaz7s Why? Were you a fan of his message or a fan of him as a personality? I absolutely get where you're coming from and even share the sentiment, but I have to know that not every person with money or who wants money is necessarily coming from a place of greed. His message is very available for free--this is just if you want to go see him. Several aspects of his message really resonate for me... his relationship with money, not so much. I cannot judge what is in his heart by a video.

  • It's not surprising that a few higher up corrupt individuals who would like to insight / provoke the envy, greed and jealousy that largely influences the little me (ego) in a lot of people in our competitive, me vs. the world, how much I have, what I want, where I'm going, etc. etc. Exploit away, those who want to know the truth will seek the truth, and will find it!! Namaste

  • This video is absolutely hilarious! :)

  • Eckhart says of Barry "I loved his teaching very much...... he was a very powerful teacher"

    Thank you Barry

  • " most important book of our life"..:))) Oh please.

  • Great Interview ! Thank you!

  • ive read all of eckhart tolle books, and its a shame this program tried to get things out of context and make him look bad,...anybody who thinks tolle is a scam artist or a bad person shud read his books and see what disjustice they did to him on this interview...nevermind oprah either, dont judge a books by its cover, dont let oprahs endorsement stop u frum exploring tolle philosophy. if people only knew what htey are missing out by practicing theit prejudices

  • @MrKarmaDude You don't even need Eckhart's philosophy ... If you feel that you need anything, find out who you truly are and all the questions will be answered, and in fact there will be no more need for questions. Too bad the "reporters" in this video asked all the wrong questions.

  • right yes, we mustn't make money. especially from advertising. thanks for clearing that up Channel Seven! Remind me not to buy your shares.

  • I am a big believer in Eckhart Tolles message, and I read his books daily. Still I think it is necessary to be critical towards him and anyone else who influences as many people as he does. So much respect to the aussies who dared stirring up the hornet's nest

  • @Craptain77 Eckhart put it wisely when the "reporter" said "Is this like a big mac?" and he responded "the only right question is, when you open the book and read it - whether there is an inner response". Fault-finding is fun, because it makes a "you that's made a fault" and a me "who's finding the fault in you" but the reality is, and you'd realize it if you've felt it deeply for yourself in your own life, for real, that there is no you and there is no 'me'. Those are concepts. Namaste Peace

  • 3 million dollars and he deserves every cent of it

  • There's always a lot of stupid people who is disturbed. That´s the price to pay for being awaken.

  • Look at the ego smirk on that interviewers face.... Why do they envy Tolle's wealth?

  • Another trashy show with interviewers who intice someone into an interview, knowing full well beforehand that they are looking to trash the guy before he even opens his mouth, then trash him some more on national TV. Anyone with half a brain can see what a load of crap the interviewer was talking.

  • if its endorsed by Oprah, then its a con..! Tolle is all new age programming..!

  • Heh today tonight.... what a disgusting cesspool of nonsense. Just read Tolle and think for yourself instead of listening to these ignorant bogans.

  • Which deluded loonies gave this video bad ratings.

  • @Menarson My understanding is that the thumbsdowns were for this silly 'interview' obviously trying to make Tolle look bad, and failing miserably.

  • Bryan wasted a great opportunity to ask meaningful questions.

  • Haters!.. Oh no your real name isnt eckhart.. what is the world coming too.. lmfao.. the scary music.. and the so called theology guy.. There is a concept called Contempt Prior to Investigation.. Did they say anything about the commercials that paid for the promotion of the news cast???

  • "That is not the right question" Anyone insane enough to declare this, has no understanding of reality. The then backs this up with a threat about the future of mankind. This man is a fraud.

  • the media are whores

  • It's clear that these People who made this Clip are stuck in their thinking and are controlled by their own fears and greed... I think more important than that is MY own state of consciousness when I watch this. When I get angry about them, it is my own ego, and I have to be aware of that...

  • These ignorant fools, they don't understand his message whatsoever. This was designed as an attempt to make him look bad with "OH NO! MONEY!" and scary music, and yet he remains calm cool and collected, as carefree, low key as always. There's no way he couldn't have sensed the tension, and he still did not react to their provocations.

    Way to go, Eckhart!

  • @TannerMLloyd I see the ego speaking there.

  • @TannerMLloyd I agree 100%.

  • @TannerMLloyd i think he almost did react for a second, never seen him do that b4

  • you are the world, because you are creating it, by assuming that this is the reality.

This men is not the messiah, he wants to tell us that we are the messiah only through our eyes.

And if you believe you cant do something, it becomes reality. If you put your passion into something you dont become you only realize that you are already.

We are love, god is love..we are god! Believe in yourself, dont be afraid

This is the only message and i guess he would be dissapointed if we just believe him

  • connect with the now, and disconnect from the tv.

  • Sociopaths do not like Tolle

  • This is a joke, the guys obviously didn't even read his book and are just bashing him and what he's presenting based on their own pre-conceptions. Plain and simple. I've personally touched true stillness much through eckharts words. My 2 cents

  • He doesn't look 61 at all!

  • If you are very satisfied with your life/religion, keep it. I found something that changed my life in Tolle's teachings. I would not even begin to list the criticisms of religious organisations such as the church.

  • I love Eckhart, saying that Oprah said he is our Messiah is probably the dumbest misinterpretation I've ever heard of Oprah. It occurs to me that you people have jealous issues, don't you just wish you were as kewl and fantastic as Eckhart. Ahahahahahaha a hahaha a hah

  • We all love Eckhart Tolle so saying something dumb like 'Aussie Mate' is just plain dumb LOL.

  • Alan Watts was writing about the "now" in the 1960's. Watts wrote with far greater eloquence as well. Ok, so I'm not my "mind". I'm not my flatulence or indigestion either. Farts arise, like thoughts....deal with it. To me, Tolle creates further division. He speaks of the aura of stillness that surrounds all of nature, and there's division number 1. Humans ARE nature, and there is certainly an aura of stillness that surrounds a black widow spiders victim.

  • @69torus you are one SAD individual haha I cant believe how much time you have wasted writing all that crap. go have fun tonging your own anus or whatever you said it was that gets you off about frogs

  • Why create further division Eckhart? why not FEEL the precious "oneness" and unity you speak of in the "exquiste suchness of now". Look, the Earth "plums", it "oranges" it "apples" it "chimps" and it "humans". No need to stick labels on it...right? Tolle regards human history as a testament to madness. And what moral code (produced by thought) led you to this conclusion? It's just nature at work. Nature doesn't begin outside your skin. It all happened in the "exquisite suchness of now".

  • Tolle asks in TPON if you have ever seen "a frog that has a problem with self esteem or a cat that can't relax". well, not that I know of. Yet I haven't seen a human who can tongue their own genitals and anus either. What's your point. Cat's and frogs are free of moral codes and they also don't regard the holocaust or communism as a testament to insaity as Tolle does. Sorry Eckhart, holocausts and gulags are just the "natural man" at work.

  • INANE!! Tolle is a master of division. making pantheism more palatable for a western audiences. No mantras to chant, no robes, etc. aside from the broken record of "now" "now" "now". Tolle inevitably uses inane examples from nature to demonstrate "the power of now", like the gentle birdy that flits from branch to branch without thinking about it. WOW, that's profound. And what of the exquisite stillness of the paralyzed victim of a black widow spider?

  • everyone should at least give the power of now on read... then you might be able to see the realitly of human.. up to now most humans have been mostly insane ran by their greedy mind that only thinks about its own survival. power of now will show you the beauty of being alive and how life can become your friends and not your worst enemy.. as we can see wiht many people around the world causing pain to themselves and others.

  • 2:50 "A New Earth....bought to you by Chevy"

    Fucking excellent !

  • Did they introduce him as a multimillionaire? That's pretty funny.

  • Bravo, Eckhart!!

  • The thought of it all could be about religion, Cult, etc. can easily occur, since one of the current state of thinking awareness regarded as the natural one. One thinks one must bend to go with Tolle. What does not, it's about finally stopping to bend permanently.

  • The announcer/interviewer is acting like a little (unconscious) girl having a cat fight. My guess is that his hot girlfriend left him. That gf was probably into Tolle.

  • His books are incredible I love Ekhart Tolle's teachings they have done so much for me in my life thank you thank you thank you

  • what a piece of shit broadcast. Sad. maybe one of them will actually read the book one day.

  • wow. lower consciousness reporting hard at work. not to terribly surprising. I suppose that their news station believes that they're doing a good service for their audience by bringing them news. I wonder if the employees would be ok with getting paid less amounts of money simply for the reason that the money they make in profits could be spent in charities, etc.

  • I almost got angry over this film. Just in time I got conscious... so, also this film is no more than another isnes. Thank You Eckhart Tolle for learning me that.

  • Every now and then, the read deal also gets to be a big deal. (ie, in a different way, The Beatles). Eckhart is authentic and deep. Watch a few of his talks and you will see. It is, however, definitely NOT about discipleship.

    p e a c e

  • Oprah presenting Eckhart as a "new messiah" ??? Ha haaaa! Eckhart would give one of his characteristic chuckles to that one. When are big media going to get over their cynicism and their sensationalist seeking band wagon?

  • But I agree that ET is better than UT!

  • I would like to know indeed why he changed from Ulrich to Eckhart.

Sounds marketing purpose to me too.

  • @leilac1 read in wikipedia theres the explanation

  • @lucianoinso Oh cool, thanks. The english version I guess. I'll go.

  • Well, they have a sense of humor.

  • :D Oh, my goodness... This was just SAD! The egos of these people are staring you right in the face.

  • There's not even the need to pay to hear Evkhart speak... he's freely available on youtube! Some people simply do not want to wake up...

  • so sorry, but Eckhart Tolle is not in the same league as Barry Long, Eckhart chose to go mainstream but Barry Long didn't, for Barry knew that if he did he would no longer speak the truth because of money, and Barry's knowledge of how the system works, all true prophets are always humble and never have a title to their name, this has been the truth since the beginning of time.

  • First of all, words really cannot express how deeply grateful I am for TPON.

You can sense the negative attitude that the interviewer has towards Tolle. Now, get this: watch how Tolle handles himself with this negative interviewer. Check out a different video clip of Tolle getting interviewed by a more positive interviewer. If you really tune in, you'll notice something very interesting: Tolle handles himself EXACTLY the same way when getting interviewed negatively and positively.

  • 1. Expensive? yeah right. it costs double his cost to attend a franklin covey time management seminar that will teach you jack shit.

    2. This isn't a fucking religion. A "theologian" should know this. This pisses me off.

    3. Unlike what you would call a cult, the leader (in this case, Eckhart) is not asking to be worshipped as a messiah, or followed as a messenger. He be more accurately called a philosopher, and even that is still not the material hes presenting.

  • David Millikin is creepy.

  • 2 Timothy 4:3

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables

  • I really do not think that the way the media portrayed him in this clip was accurate. They used editing and "suspicious" background music to plant a negative seed about him in the audiences eyes.

Nonetheless, I am glad his message is getting out, even if it is in a distorted way. Those that are skeptic enough at a healthy level will research it themselves, and hopefully realize the truth about the message.

  • The media try and turn this into something sinister, when in fact harnessing the power of now is really joyful.

  • Eckhart, is love in motion

  • I just started listening to Eckhart Tolle, and he has touched me profoundly in so many ways. I don't see where he is fake. You either connect or you don't. But this is the new spirituality.....you don't need to believe in some dogma or doctrine to believe in god. God is in all of us, he's consciousness he's everywhere, and he's a master of time. Physcists can't even explain time, time is just an illusion, as Isaac Newton said.

  • I was a bit shocked to realize that his talks are so expensive, but other than that, I love that man, because he doesn't want you to follow him, he wants you to follow yourself.

  • "As where my great knowledge comes from. For i am already dead. Long dead. I am..doctor death is my name. I kill everybody in front of me."

  • That kind of journalism is so embarassing to watch. Well, I truly hope that The Power of Now keeps being read by more and more people. Eckhart Tolle and Oprah, thank you for your service to humanity.

  • 4:47 I believe the commentator may have misrepresented ET, when he said "Stop thinking, just be in the now". Actually ET encourages people to redirect the focus of their attention or conscious awareness away from the minds thoughts, our brain by it's nature manifests thoughts unceasingly, in the same way that our heart beats unceasingly. Thinking is needed, but our obsession with thoughts leads us to stress, i.e needing always to be in a better fictitious future or longing for the good old days

  • 'stay in the moment'. The moment is a stretch of time, of varying lengths from being to being, depending on how fast their mind works.

every moment we percieve is actually in the past, because light travels.

therefore our present is in darkness, unknown.

staying in the moment is therefore meaning less.

our self is not 'infinite awareness', because one cannot be aware of infinity, because things must have a border in order to be defined in one's perception.

    Law of YinYang.

    He's a Dodgy GeezAAA

  • @natmanprime cute argument, but have you ever had a peak experience of "being in the moment"? It is beyond words and "meaning"

  • @GPEGEMGTM3 I'm sure it's a great experience, it's just the terminology. I wonder if such an infinitely aware being, sitting there crosslegged, would be aware of me creeping up..creeping up behind him...and..THWACKed! him with a rolled up newspaper

    ;D

  • @natmanprime hilarious! Thnx.

(btw, Tolle would laugh as loud as I just did)

  • @boringshi course he'd laugh

all the way to the bank

he don't believe in this rhubarb

    ; )

  • @natmanprime indeed, because he isn't actually saying anything that requires any belief.

  • @boringshi what??

hello, he's claiming infinite awareness, has he proven that, or demonstrated that in any way?

  • @natmanprime I don't get it. 'Claiming infinite awareness'?What do you mean by that?He does say we are all awareness, along these lines...

I have experienced this too a bit; I felt connected to everything, basically because we #are# (we consist of the same material, similar thoughts, are aware of eachother, part of an ecosystem & all that)So that is experience. How would that need proof?

Whatever turn our discussion will take (often these things become flamewars), I still love the initial joke

  • @boringshi you again??lol I thought we were done a week ago.

OK, glad you appreciated the joke, but it had a point, yes?

He said the words 'infinite awareness'.

Awareness isn't infinite, by nature. To be aware of something is to not be aware of something else. What you're talking about is a greater awareness, that's all.

If you were aware of all the thoughts of the people on your STREET, it would be too much, let alone the UNIVERSE.

    Get real mate

the joke was an attempt to wake you up.

  • This is why i never watch Channel 7, you can see they have never read the book whatsoever.

This video is almost a collective ego of sorts, attack & defend.

  • Only one who has not read the books would mentally label Eckhart Tolle.

  • It's the message baby... Tolle saved my life and it did'nt cost me a thing..

  • I was highly critical of Eckhart Tolle for a long time, and that's not a bad thing, these people need to be thoroughly investigated as there are so many fakes around.

I don't much like the thought of a partnership with Oprah and it's my personal belief that spiritual teachers should not charge but ultimately what Tolle says and writes is pretty much right on.

It must be difficult in this day and age for a spiritual teacher to stay utterly blameless but all the more reason to do so.

  • reveals the bitter baloney that australians love to watch, slanders a decent simple teacher like eckhart, ambushing him this way, treacherous

  • I agree with the recent comments. Whether they are in business or not is irrelevant. His message and Oprah's reasoning IS NOT that he is the Messiah. He is a good guy and I haven't been out money at all to benefit from the TOTALLY FREE webinar they offered together. His books are very affordable. This is not a scam.

Anyway, Oprah offered this because I recommended the book to her and she liked it. Simple as that.

  • lol

  • Eckhart Tolle's message is important for a society that is lost in thought. It is a perfect counterbalance, which is why it has sold so well. Barry Long's teaching is more comprehensive, I would say, and is also a great liberator. Both are positive contributors to our world.

  • This is stupid, Eckhart doesn't diserve this crap...

  • This is poor journalism.

  • what an ugly video. so much jelousy in it. eckhart is pure. they even out music that will fir their point of view.

  • Great Event.

  • Part of the goal of the reporters was to provide a complete opposite view of the story so that they didn't appear bias to anyone.

  • I live in Australia and 'Today Tonight' is one of the trashiest / stupidest programs on network television (and that's saying something!)

They are often caught out for producing biased, misinformed stories by 'Media Watch' and basically exist to confirm the paranoid / ignorant opinions of the bogans (or 'rednecks') that make up the majority of their audience.

Once again Australian culture leaves me embarassed and ashamed of its conservatively stubborn 'small-town' attitude to anything new.

  • @nloc1929 couldn't agree more

  • Seven News: the voice of unbiased reporting-Ha!

  • I used to attend Barry Longs seminars and I don't remember ever seeing Eckhart. And as it was a small group of people and you would talk to each other after. Its amazing seeing his name attached to Eckharts and it makes me laugh seeing the clip they have posted of Barry on the news. And also you have to be in the presence of Barry Long to realy understand his teachings and is one of the reasons his talks used to be called 'Being' with Barry Long with intense and master sessions.

  • @BachTantra I suspect that you are too young to have been at the meetings, when Mr Tolle would attend, as that was in the '80s.

You write; 'also you have to be in the presence of Barry Long to really understand his teachings'. Many people I know have found and love his teaching after he died, for the simple reason that it reflects the truth to them and they can live it because Long's teaching is very practical.
