Thanks for the video! I think the Japanese cars of the 80's and early 90's were at their prime (in terms of renovation and characters). Now most of the models become more generic.
I think "business strategy" thing it's not the problem of Japanese side, but rather the other countries' ignorant marketing people whether or not they want to bring the great cars there.
sometimes I never understand Japanese automakr's business strategy. They have marketable cars but they just sold them in domestic market. Why they just satisfied Japanese market? Export Cedric, Gloria or Crown.

これ国内ではソアラの陰になってましたが海外では輸出してないにもかかわらずデザインは砲版でこれによく似た車が確かフォードから後に出ました

レパードは乗った事ありませんが、素晴らしい自動車でした。最終は、ローレルとほぼ同じ形をしていたので、レパードはローレルの兄弟車だと思います。
