  • All the marines I know take accurate shooting serious including myself. I think its bullshit the army uses simulators to shoot the m16. And for all the civilians out there that think that every rifle needs a scope to shoot acurately is bullshit. At paris island we shot out to 500 meters iron sights only

  • @raptor660jarhead 500 meter with wht rifle? m14?

  • @metalmessiahmetal 500 meters with iron sights on an M16. 5.56mm. Just about any Marine can do it.

  • @GriffGruff78 hahah i laugh at ur face !! the bullet will drop bout 19 inches and get draged by the wind its just not consistent enough at those ranges no marine would ever seriously attempt the shot with there m4 or m16 as there frist option

  • @metalmessiahmetal - Dude, every basic Marine has hit a silouette on the 500m range with an M16. Also, I would LOVE to know what load you're shooting to only have 19 inches of drop at 500 meters. That would be a pretty dandy round indeed.

  • @GriffGruff78 wht i know bout the army is that squad range so 10 rounds is 300 meters with an aug same round 5.56 basically same accuracy. ill correct the drop in inches its like 30 sumthing inches at 500meter so even worse 500 meters

  • @metalmessiahmetal A lot of shooting competitors will simply zero their iron-sighted AR's at 500 and then proceed through the course with a 6 o'clock point-of-aim on all targets.

  • with a scope bull i had ti do it with peep sights in the army and did it dam well to

  • @allbadbones u probly woulda done it better with a scope tho

  • if he's hitting anything at range with that wind...mad props

  • @NoobInaCan mate thats fuck all. try 1000 yards with 30+ minutes of wind. what a crazy morning that was!

  • @tomeanator80 Nothing like shooting at 9 or 3 o' clock to hit a target at 12 o' clock.

  • 300 meters kailangan mo mag compute ng windage and elevation peru pag red dot adjust ka nalang sa second shot expected na kasi di tatama ung first shot at saka yong ammo mo dapat mag katimbang kasi basihan yong pag gusto mo titira ng malayoan. peru maganda place nyo makakapraktis ka kung kailan mo gusto. GOOD GUN keep it up

  • ayus yan...

  • you cant hit shit with that wind

  • Not exactly, the right scope you have knobs adjusting for elevation and windage

  • lol WHO FARTED?

  • I love the M14, sub 500m, no scope for me.

  • The M14 just like the Belgian FN FAL (and its "copies" like the German G3 and alike) is an incredible rifle.

Perfect DMR weapon to me. Plus it has this "oldy" style :)

  • Wasn't the G3 based on the CETME?

  • You are correct my friend. I didn't mean copy as a "based on rifle" but more as a sentimental thing : p. The CETME rifles were based on the Stg45 because engineers from Mauser joined CETME. Germany bought the license to manufacture CETME model A (7.52NATO) as the FN refused to sell the license for the FN FAL to Germany.

  • umm f****genuis iirc Marines are trained to effectively hit targets out to 500m.

Also iirc shooters compete in a 1000 yard competition with m14's with iron sights. So i fail to understand where your information comes from.

  • Hell i've seen a guy take out a deer at 433M with a remington 700.

  • hey nice shooting. i seen in the video that the wind up and then died down. did that fuck u up shooting. i love you shooting of a bag which is hard i know.

  • REDNECK= "Son, aim at that there road"

  • It's prolly his private driveway, so if someone's coming up there and they did call to let them know they're on their way they obviously don't have permission to be on his land

  • Yes the target is smaller than the front sight post. Yes the army has the ALT-C up to 300 meters. The argument is that no one can hit a man size target past 300 meters. I am going to have to post video to prove this can be done with open sights. Yes I know the graduations go to 800 meters. Thats for an area target. This also gives me excuse to buy metal popper target.

  • There were some snipers of the Vietnam era that could and did kill people at 1000 YARDS with the M14. Yeah, it was with iron sights.

  • Ever noticed that professional video gamers try to tell you that you can't hit a man target at 500 meters with open sights. I qualified at those such ranges. Hell I wish I could shoot my AR15, M1A, and .308 bolt at the local ranges. The farthest range here has only 300 yards. 300 yards is suppose to be easy hunting range. Do a search of Army and or Marine qualification requirements. I love and hate the M16. It has kept me alive but its a bitch to clean ;)

  • What armed service are you in that required qualification passed 300M?

Have you ever shot an ALT-C target beyond 300M? The silhouette wouldn't be visible without magnification, and secondly, it would be smaller then the front sight.

A 80+ grain .223 or 5.56 round would be blown around beyond 300M making most attempts beyond futile. It's not a round designed to reach out with assured accuracy.

  • umm thats not that far of a range for an m15 if i can hit a man sized target 10/10 at 500m with an m16 and iron sights. that shot is cake

  • I dont believe you!!!

  • mgzukows, first of all your claims are far fetched fantasies. When u see a man, 500m away without optics, it is a dot on the horizon, and every shot attempt is a hail mary, waste of ammo. Hell, during battles soldiers don't even bother shooting past

300m with personal, iron sighted weapons. m16 round can barely stop a man at 500m, provided it hits him.

  • first off correct my spelling mistake m-14. Well gents look it up USMC range qual is at 200, 300 and 500. at the 500 you must engage a man sized target in the prone with a 10 round slow fire. I say 10/10 because the last time i qualed i hit the black(The man sized target) 10 times out of 10 rounds. we do this with iron sights.

  • Fucking arm chair soldiers. Look people have engaged and killed at that range with iron sites lets see the battle of belleau wood the germans called them devil dogs because they were engaging and killing at 800+ yards. Just because you can't do it doesn't mean no one can.

  • you can qual up to 600 yards on a man size target with iron sites like mgzukows said 10/10 is actually very obtainable I qualified expert 5 years in a row when i was in the marines And yes I have shot and hit a target at 600 using iron sites Not every time but the shots werent a fluke either Proper sight alignment combined with controlled breathing trigger pull and proper support along with windage and elevation corrections and you can hit your target every time all Marines are Riflemen first

  • @mgzukows

The whole Devil Dogs nickname was made up by American propaganda, sorry to disappoint you. The supposed German nickname "Teufelhunden" (Devil Dogs) is grammatically incorrect even ignoring the problem that the soldiers weren't really in casual conversation with the Germans to find out the nicknames.

That aside they still fought like motherfuckers even considering poor quality of late-war German troops.

  • @mgzukows The term soldier and devil dog should never be used in the same sentence, paragraph, page or chapter! Soldier, Worrier, hooa etc is a term to describe Army personnel... Devil dog, Jar Head is referring to a Marine. We dont go around calling Airmen soldiers or Marines Seamen hahha I said seamen lol... gets me every time!!!

  • @XxfuckthapolicexX ...Were you being serious?

  • @snoopyofdoomxx Marines take that stuff seriously. Another reason for people to watch their wording.

  • @themeleed i saw poster once that revealed what the military really does and it had like every branch ..the marines was a guy in the siting in a mud puddle holding binoculars ,the airforce was a fat guy in a chair playing video games ,the army was a guy laying in the dirt ,and the navy was 2 guys hugging each other while a shark was tryng to eat them ..haha

  • @PEEWEEK707 lol nice =p

  • @themeleed hah yeah

  • @mgzukows ahahahahh thts not how belleau wood went down

  • ummm the m14 cant hit some 1 at 1000 yards and still be enough to kill some 1. yes i have used one and yes i have hit a target at 500 yards and it punched thru the steel plate like a bb goes thru paper

  • Well I used one in Iraq and yes it can.

  • i know it can, i pressed the t by misstake srry

  • How does that actually worked?, I thought you are assigned a rifle (M16 ofcourse) and no questions asked.

  • Nope not necessarily. Some guys are given SAWS and all that good stuff too. For me it was when I got shot in the hand and dropped my gun. The stock, barrel, and trigger guard fell off..like busted. That's not very reliable. They had already started reissuing M14's during the beginning of Afghanistan. I was a lucky one though, who got reissued the best gun in military, the M14.

  • Did you get to fire the Socom 16.

I also saw soldiers that accidentally dropped M16s and THE STOCK BROKE!!

I would not have believed if I had not seen it. I am convinced the M16 hurt us badly in Vietnam.

  • Yes, I did. It was alright..I liked the longer barrel though on the M14. Maybe it's all in my head that it has better accuracy but a positive thought can get you a long way in war.

  • well said

  • I've certainly never seen a stock break. Even while striking steel posts and dummies with them during the bayonet assault course, I've never seen one break, though one of the fatter guys I went to basic with did manage to bend the barrel and pop off the handguards.

  • I have broke handgaurds in the back of mlvws .

  • i mean it can i typed cant by mistake srry guys

  • The video is about the M14, not the M16.

Last I checked, the light MG you are advocating fires the same round the M16 fires (5.56mm). It does not compare to the M14's 7.62 NATO. Yes, I have fired each of them.

500 meters with iron sights is doable with any of the three weapons, without spraying and praying.

Don't think the rest of us have your shortcummings at the range.

  • You're games have polluted your mind.

He doesn't suck, do you even know what he's shooting at? He's not using a scope either, it's an aimpoint.

  • @sigmasquadleader do you know what qualifies as a scope???????????

  • You obviously have never fired a rifle. And his Aimpoint does not have a magnifier.

  • hey dumbass maybe that range only goes to 300. besides just cause it can shoot 800 doesnt mean he only uses it at that range

  • the ak's not even accurate at 200 yards let alone 300 meters

  • 300m with 308 isnt very fair

  • without a scope yes

  • Is so easy to shoot and hit holding your scoped rifle in a bag. Try stand firing with iron sights...

  • Iron sights all the way!!

  • why not make steel or platnum sights oh yeah worth more bitch rofl

  • nice shooting? can't see what the hell hes shooting at... if anyone wants to make a shooting video show the poi please
