  • No way that arrestor would have flashed back without the acetone... what is the go with the acetone anyway???

  • TO: nubbynubs123

HHO Gas running through flammable liquid mixing with the HHO gas cools the temperature of the flame. Turning off the welding tip torch with out the alternate flammable liquid there is a pop in the torch. With the flammable liquid there is no pop in the torch. And you can see the results in welding.

  • you're talking about a welding tip flame. the HHO explosion in a combustion chamber isn't going to reach that high temps. it turns to water vapor when it ignites and cools as it exits the engine. try a ultrasonic humidifier from Vicks and inject that into the intake along with HHO if you wanna cool things down. on the Hydroxy Yahoo group, I read someone was running a 40kW generator on only HHO and a cool water fogger. no gas or diesel..

  • Pete, THANKS for continuing your testing of our SledgeHammer Flashback Arrestor!

I just wanted to post a quick comment to let everyone know that you were the only person we found that could stress test this at 20-25LPM...awesome work. We will be assembling 2 more for you with slight design modifications that will hopefully solve the acetone issue.

Our ultimate goal is a high output HHO flashback arrestor that will withstand 30LPM...with your help, we'll get there!

    Steve
