@barthoedemaker Yes I knew that and always heard others saying that they are extremely quiet. I just never thought that they would be as quiet as they are.
until it reacher 140 knots -.- big runway for such big plane. hope they dont ever bring it here to miami. cant stand having an airport remodeled because of it.
Once the stretch version comes out (800 px) flying between hub airports could make the 380 in the future the ONLY economical way. The 2 engined A350s and dreamliners can serve the smaller airports. Its all about fuel burn and CO2.
I think the A350, which will come out in about four years, will be even quieter. The A380 is a technical masterpiece and this construction know-how will pass onto the 350.
this plane is basically the 747-400 in size its just longer on top, its a 747-400 with a longer top, and an airbus sticker slapped on it. maybe a little bit bigger engines, but thatrs all airbus does, is copy and try to make the same airceraft as boeing, but make it have differerent engines.
What are you talking about dylanhelmer? There is no resemblance at all between the 747-400 and the A380! Think about it, the engines look completely differently, not to mention the type of engine. The nose is completely differently on the a380, and the cockpit windows appear to be in between the upper and lower deck. On the 747, the flight deck is obviously on the upper deck. The wings are very different, spoilers all across the wing, flaps different, and the winglets are different. Different.
AH! but.... the A380 used to belong to boeing before airbus baught the design it used to be called the boeing 797 but airbus baught it and renamed it the Airbus A380
@dylanhelmer Lol you dont know nothing, 747 and A380 have fully different systems, A380 Flybywire, 747 is not, A380 have joystick, 747 have yoke, cockpit and all systems are fully different, they are built different ways.
@dylanhelmer to copy means to make something "exactly" the same as the item you are copying from. But the A380's dimensions are all different from the 747, the wings, the tail, the lengths, height, wingspan, the curvature of the wings, the materials used in the A380 are much more advanced.
The engines might be bigger but thats not all that was focused on. Instead of sticking 4x GR90's they actually tried to make a more powerful engine for the plane. It's not all about size.
@dylanhelmer Are you such a boeing hater? That does not look like a thing like the Boeing 747, I can name a million, Boeing 747 comes with PW4000 GEcf6 RR. A380 has Trent rr . They have diffrent winglets the wing span is longer the double decker is longer than the 747. The Flaps spread out like airbuses AND FINALLY A380= AIRBUS 747= BOEING
@dylanhelmer this is the funniest crap i've ever heard ))))))) i think you're basically a monkey with an attached human head and now you're confused about staff )))
I love flying & I've flown in a lot of planes - & I do love a good noisy "you can feel the plane" experience but I have to admit the A380 IS this quiet - a little odd at first but it really is a very peaceful bird.. even in economy class..
wow good video! Quiet... It's seems like the take off is incredibly smooth in the A380. All the videos of A380 Take off I've seen, the camcoder don't move a lot compare to the other aircrafts.
The quietness of these engines is unbelievable! B747, A340-600 and B767 are so loud in comparison to A380... this new bird is really a state-of-the-art invention
@cybermariano - Just wait for ANA's B787 - the noise level of that aircraft should be minimal... given they can ever get it manufactured. It is so far behind schedule on its completion.
Amazing !!
very very quiet.

@KevinDR1987 A380 cabin has about 50% better isolation against outside noise + the engines have a more quite fan blade design.

Engines are not that quite, you can hear them very well from outside, but the plane is much better isolated

gotta love the a380, gets up in the sky so effortlessly. quiet stable, immune to most turbulence and is the queen of the sky :))))

Yeah, but that things gotta burn a lot as huge as it is, right? Yet Air France is using them instead of 777s on their New York to Paris route.
