good vid. I had a jumping blooper similar to that last one the other day. Only my leg went so far back my stirrup fell off (like the leather came out) and spooked my horse who took off across the arena top speed. I just clung on without a stirrup... lolz.

oh trust me...that is not the worst horse jump in history! you should see me! i ride an arabian so he bolts towards the jump and jumps like a deer!!!! its hilarious! He has managed to canter full strides in between trot poles with me on him! i didnt know that was possible for a horse to do!

@Studleysgirl Yeah well we all learn to live with it! I learnt this tip though 2 weeks ago and it is to suck in your stomach so you stay completley still in your shoulders and your legs...it really works and I got my Arab to actually stay calm and do a good job jumping!

good jumping, but when you say the worst jump in the history of jumping, it wasnt even bad at all, you didnt fall off you didnt knock a rail, it was pretty good if you ask me

the worst jump ever wasen't that bad because at the top your torso was in a good position, but your leg had slipped back to far. i have done jumps WAYYYY worse then that trust me :)

That was actullay a better jump than one I did. During a show I was going over a 2 foot X bar and my horse didn't see it and I flipped over her head! I was ok though. I only got 3rd place out of 7. My worst time though was when I got stepped on. I had a hoofprint on my back for a month!!! Great video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In the bloopers in slow mo, it looked like he refused and then took off..

A vertical is called a vertical and not a horizontal because the horse and rider jump the jump vertically from the ground.

polo wraps protect the horses tendons and legs. they also provide support. i like boots better though because they're easier to put on. and lol idk why they're called verticals. good point though i hadnt really realized that.

haha, ya i just realized that when I watched it.

but I see it in Dressage a lot as well...

but the tendons don't need to be protected then unless the horse undertracks (or overtrakcs)

Oh thats really cool! I haven't heard of those shows.

We're getting there. I am teaching her lead changes because we almost always get our leads normally and it will help us with our jumping. She usually does a great lead change in the front but doesn't get it in the back so we are working on it a lot.
