Sa mga nagsasabi na kailangan ibahin and parking rules, naiba na nga ang rules, pero lumala. Maraming namumultahan halos lahat ng mga esdyudante gaya ko ayaw ang rules. OK naman kasi yung dati dahil masikip at 'di mo iisipin na may maaaksidente.

i think she is running at about 30-40km/h and didnt get a chance to hit the breaks. kasi kung titignan yung damaged sa CR-V, those kind damages are commonly seen in highway velicular accidents.

Ateneo should fix their parking area and draft safe routes for students and pedestrians within the parking spaces so that this accident won't happen (again).. Malls do that why not a school? Sa dinami dami naman ng mga schools na maraming sasakyan sa loob ng campus parang malala ang problema ng Ateneo I believe this was not the only accident in a span of a few months. UST has multi-level parking inside the campus why can't Ateneo have something like that?

The yaya got hit too, and Amiels brother and sister were almost hit but the yaya pushed them out of the way. AND another reason the blow was so hard on Amiel was cause he was eating a hot dog, dropped it and tried to pick it up. I know what happened cause my brother talked to his brother. Poor Amiel :(

1) What happened was a freak accident. Even Torres,doesn't even want it to happen.

2) No. The 3D-like video presented is not accurate. Amiel was hit by the van in drop-off/pick-up point C of the Ateneo grade school and not in the parking lot, and he, with his nanny, grade 7 brother and his friend, and her sister, were crossing. Well, that visual doesn't accurately present the viewers of what happened, but what Kara David reported, the news, is the one that's correct.

i never thought that a tragic incident would happen inside a school where we all think our children are safe. i think we really need to revise our rules for everyone's safety. students should be guided by adults while they are crossing the street. there should be pedestrian lanes. the speed limit inside a school, residential area or places with people around should be very slow. drivers should be focus while driving their vehicles. i hope the death of amiel alcantara will serve as a lesson.

@raserusensei yep - pedestrians here in japan have the priority, especially in parking lots, service stations, etc. iba 'lang tagala ang andar nang mga utak natin sa pinas... in this case, torres automatically gets 100%-fault in the accident regardless of what her case may be. (from an alumnus currently in japan)

I won't tell all information, but they were in the middle of the street when the hiace came and the yaya got bumped too but the younger sister of Amiel didn't get bumped because the yaya pushed her. She couldn't push Amiel too because she was carrying the big bag of Amiel. Anyway, I'm Grade 4....
