Beside something would have to shake the story up, think about it the famous Harry Potter's son in Slytherin. Rowling herself stated she found Albus the most interesting of Harry's kids, I bet she even knows in her head how school will be for all the new generation just never write it down (or if not that, then not publish).

Which house a person goes to is not genetic. It's about what that person values most. Harry had just told him that it would be okay for him to be a Slytherin. He has just as much reason to be in Slytherin as he does in Griffindor.

aireagorncharda-- That's true. Just because you're in Slytherin does not mean you're evil or a bad person. Being in Gryffindor doesn't mean you're a good person, either. I'm pretty sure JKR made that clear when she made Peter Pettigrew a Death Eater. Everyone says Wormtail should've been in Slytherin, but just because Mal-Ferret (Malfoy) was in Slytherin and a total git and a Death Eater doesn't mean everynoe who goes into Slytherin would be a total git/DE.

Also, just because one is a Death Eater and a git, they aren't necessarily evil or a bad person. By book 7 Malfoy was acting purely out of fear. He was doing bad things because he was afraid for his family's safety. Snape did bad things, but in the end he made the right choices for the right reasons and he was the epitome of a Slytherin.

Houses are based on what people VALUE, not what they HAVE the most of. Peter valued bravery, but he wasn't a brave person. That said, he WAS a Gryffindor.
